the concept of being lavonte and feeling like you don’t know hj anymore, like you’re losing him - he’s buying sweet potatoes and giving you basil plants and he’s mellowing out and you’re starting to worry he is NOT the guy you signed up to eternity with - then he snaps back to himself for a moment and he’s wild and crazy and recognisable to you and he tells you to get rid of the basil plant that he left you in your coffin.

Haven’t seen this mentioned on here yet but it’s officially been 1201 days since DC has published a mainline ongoing for a Black character! So @jpenumbra on TikTok and YouTube has organized a boycott of DC comics until they start doing right by their Black characters!

When a company goes over three years disrespecting its Black characters like this (in a way its’ competitors don’t btw, even Marvel has multiple mainline Black ongoings rn) it becomes really obvious that they’re committing an intentional act of anti-Blackness. Black comic book characters matter and DC already has so many cool ones that they’re squandering and they deserve better. But even more than that, Black comic book *fans* matter. And we deserve better than this.

went to my local comic store today to pick up the new Jubilee and Raid on Ultron, and apparently i live in a very un-whimsical area because both of them have been selling like shit, Moonstar too?? the guy who runs the shop said he buys two issues of it and they barely go at all, i myself am not a Moonstar fan but now i’m wondering what kinds of comics ARE selling?? i need to start buying more physical copies to tell Marvel that i do indeed enjoy gay people and women in my comics
