Can we please start normalizing the choice to want to be dependent on someone because yeah, I love Caleb. I like fantasizing about being taken care of and never having to do a damn thing for myself. I want someone to make decisions for me when my brain doesn't want to function properly. I know the man's a possessive hoe and I dont care—his possessiveness makes me feel loved and I prefer someone who doesn't hide the fact that they yearn for me and want only me in their world. I just want to be cherished and spoiled like a cute little doll and so what if thats how I want to live my life? It's healing for someone like me whose mental state is absolutely terrible because I don't have to worry about my future very much when I have someone willingly and happily doing that for me! ^.^

Debut- Teardrops On My Guitar

I don’t know what it is but Caleb would 100% feel this way about MC. Especially when he’s overprotective of her when she’s with other guys. He’s obsessed with MC just like Taylor is with this guy.

Fearless- Forever And Always

This is specifically when they split after the explosion. Cause Caleb would promise forever and always to protect her and then he was GONE. MC was mad when they finally reunited because he didn’t tell her he left like this is literally perfect. Especially with the “I stare at the phone, he still hasn’t called.”

Speak Now- Haunted

A lot of songs on Speak Now works but this one specifically because it’s the plea to stop someone from leaving them and that is SOO Caleb coated. He begs for you to need him so he would beg for you to stay too.

Red- Everything Has Changed

I fear this one was obvious. The music video is literally two childhood best friends getting together. Plus the song is like “I loved you at first sight.” Which is very Caleb and MC coated.

Red TV- The Very First Night

“Back then, we didn’t know we were built to fall apart.” Another song built for every LI but I do like this more for Caleb because she talks about falling in love like little kids running. Childhood best friends ya know.

1989- I Wish You Would

This gives off the fact that Caleb wishes he never would’ve let you go and wishes he never left you. I don't exactly know WHY I associate this with Caleb, it just gives that vibe. The “You always knew how to push my buttons” just adds to the vibe.

1989 TV- Slut!

I had to add this one because it’s literally SO perfect for every LI. “Everyone wants him, that was my crime” IS SOOOO CALEB. Since he was super popular and MC kissed him JUST because she didn’t want him to date anyone. “In a world of boys he’s a gentleman.” Literally all of the LIs fit this song. I love it so much.

Reputation- Call It What You Want

I WANT TO WEAR HIS INITIAL ON A CHAIN ROUND MY NECK. I fear that’s ALL i have to say, he literally wears your chain on his neck. Don’t play with me. “Trust him like a brother” is also ironic.

Lover- Soon You’ll Get Better

Hear me out on this one. He watched you die multiple times in the lab and watched you forget him. EVERY. TIME. Hoping one day he can escape with you. Like omg. “What am I supposed to do if there’s no you?” Like hello.

folklore- the 1

It was between this song and my tears ricochet, but this is the top song on my Caleb playlist. This also feels like a song that works for all LIs (because they’re all doomed). “If my wishes came true, it would’ve been you.” “If one thing had been different, would everything be different today?” “We were something, don’t you think so?” I could go on.

evermore- tis’ the damn season

Returning to an old fling before going back to reality. Basically what happened in the main story. Still mad about that, we deadass just left my boy.

Midnights-Paris

This one was hard as I feel a lot of these songs fit, but a cute little love song may lighten the mood here. “I’m so in love that I might stop breathing.” “I wanna brainwash you into loving me forever.” I love this song unconditionally, and it gives the possessive sides of both Caleb and MC.

The Tortured Poets Department- The Alchemy

Caleb was on the basketball team, “Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me.” Like dude, it was made to be. Not to mention the fact of the lyric, “That child’s play back in school is forgiven under my rule.” I love TTPD so much omg.

The Anthology- How Did It End?

Did I mention I love TTPD? Yeah so here’s another, but it’s the anthology so technically a different album. “My beloved ghost and me, sitting in a tree D-Y-I-N-G.” His new myth is literally this. It’s literally my BIO ON LADS. Cause you die right with him every single time, and there’s ghosts in his new myth. “But I still don’t know, How did it end?” MC loses her memory.

The Life Of A Showgirl- Honey

In all honesty, none of these songs fit. I wouldn’t put any of the songs I like there because they don’t work, so this one just reminds me of his one card where he says Honey. He also calls my MC honey so.
