💔🇵🇸 My Daughter Was Born Under Bombs — I'm Just Trying to Keep Her Alive
My name is Abdulmajid.
I got married one month before the war. Those were beautiful days — full of hope, love, and simple dreams. I dreamed of a small home, a quiet family, and a baby girl I could hold without fear.
But the war came… Suddenly. Brutally.
My mother was killed. My brother was killed. Children in my family were taken by the bombs. My home was destroyed. And my work stopped completely.
Then… in the middle of this nightmare, my baby girl was born. A tiny soul, innocent, unaware of the war. She cries from hunger, from cold, from the sounds of bombs shaking what’s left of our walls.
Today, I’m a father with almost nothing… Fighting every day to find flour, milk, or even a small meal to feed my child.
Prices are sky-high — a single 25kg bag of flour can cost $800. There is no work. No income. No safety. No stability.
I write this from under siege, hoping my heart will reach yours.
My name is Abedmajed Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with what remains of my once large and loving family.

Happy Global Beatles Day!
Global Beatles Day was created by a fan of the band, Faith Cohen. The day started in 2009, and Faith calls it a “love letter” or “thank you” to The Beatles. The date was selected because it is the same date that the band participated in Our World in 1967, which was a program on the BBC that was also broadcast to a global audience. They performed their song “All You Need Is Love.”
While they started their career like most musical groups, playing cheap dive clubs all over their home town of Liverpool, their manager was an artisan of his craft and helped guide them to rise to their potential. Their explosion in popularity came on the heels of their first hit song “Love Me Do”, and love them we did, it didn’t take long before the entire world was caught up in Beatlemania.
Global Beatles Day celebrates the huge influence they brought to the world, not just with their musical sounds, but with the values they professed and believed in. Throughout their entire career they promoted the idea that we could all live in a peaceful world, built on the ideas of truth, love, and reaching beyond the boundaries of current human consciousness.

A quote from the book reminds us of the dangers of fixating on idealized versions of our lives.
About 16 years ago, I designed my first website. Self-taught. Then the only supplies I had were: 1. The books of the public library. Sorry Giourdas Publications, your books were and are excellent, but financially unapproachable for a young man who belongs to the working class. Because we still belong to classes. 2. The various Forums, where friends from all over the world shared tips and tricks for html, css, php. 3. E-books that we all shared via peer to peer file sharing-application (my favorite was Bearshare) and file transfer sites (Rapidshare ❤️ ) 4. Fanlistings & FanSites : My favorite series (Gilmore Girls, 24, Lost) and actors (Gene Kelly, Lauren Graham, Hugh Laurie) were a source of inspiration to enter the wonderful world of mini websites called Fanlistings and of course to create my own communities like Lost in Greece (Greek Fan Community of ABC's LOST series). I was busy creating graphics, video clips, subtitles and even podcasts. Back then Youtube was in its infancy and had no tutorials. 5. Content Management Systems were starting to emerge with Cutenews being more popular at the time. 6. And of course Search Engine Optimization was an unknown concept. You could easily trick the search engine and put your website on the front line of Google, bypassing multinational companies and governments. Since then a lot has changed. Website design programs, competition monitoring tools, social media. But one thing remains the same for me. The Joy of helping my clients' dreams come true by creating websites that exude their authenticity, values and principles. And no AI will be able to do that in the slightest. Because those who wish to succeed on the world wide web want fellow travelers with experience and awareness. Happy Web Designer Day !

A rather broad term, Asian/Pacific encompasses all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of :
Melanesia (New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji and the Solomon Islands),
Micronesia (Marianas, Guam, Wake Island, Palau, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru and the Federated States of Micronesia) and
Polynesia (New Zealand, Hawaiian Islands, Rotuma, Midway Islands, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Easter Island).
These people carry through the centuries a wonderful culture that inspires you.
