its honestly making me super emotional that all this queer media is coinciding directly with me finally coming out to my family and living comfortably as myself.

i remember being 12 years old, queer and trans but in the closet, desperately searching for someone like me in media, watching shows like supernatural, sherlock, bbc merlin, etc. i felt like it would never be safe for me to be out to even my family.

now im almost 20, 3 months on t, out as trans to my entire family, and i get to watch heartstopper, rwrb, our flag means death, good omens, nimona, etc. and just be happy. it feels like im healing that young queer kid who thought he’d always have to hide who he was.

not to get too sad about it but i do feel like crying over this.
