FINALLY got around to dumping Spotify after their CEO continued to prove he's a fresh turd. (As if being a billionaire, not paying musicians, shoving AI garbage at us, and having an atrocious carbon footprint wasn't bad enough, he's now the chair of a AI-based weapons manufacturing company.)
I used TuneMyMusic ($24 annual fee you can cancel immediately, effectively paying only once) to transfer almost every single song from our Spotify account to Tidal. Tidal already has much better sound quality and they pay their artists much better. It migrated over 99% of our music, too, so there wasn't a huge loss.
I did this over in November when they gave Trump $100,000.
Tidal is incredible. Not only is it MUCH cheaper than Spotify, but the audio quality is much better. Artists DO get paid more, and their algorithm is actually coded by humans (did you wonder why Spotify Wrapped has been sucking, it's the AI).
You can download your Spotify playlists as .CSV files and then use a program to 'covert' them to Tidal. I used Exportify. It cost me $2 to transfer over 35 playlists and a total of 4,300+ songs. Two dollars.
Tidal's UI is similar to Spotify so you can jump right in and do the same stuff you've always done. You can make playlists, edit playlist covers, you have a discover daily, the mixes make more sense and are based on YOUR tastes, and to top it all off, did I mention it's cheaper?
And for those who drive a lot, it takes a lot less room on your phone and barely any data. I HIGHLY recommend making the jump!
light em up!!
sooo bird cage weapon + armor idea
I FUCKING KNEW I HEARD UNDYNE'S MOTIF IN PEEPAW'S STUDY THEME!!! GOD DAMN THE RETURN OF THIS BATTLE MECHANIC-- IT'S TOO CHAOTIC CAN YOU SEND ME BACK TO JEVIL AGAIN HE WAS ACTUALLY EASIER PLSSSS 😭😭
I'm sorry Susie, but you're on your own, girl. I'm almost certain you'll do better without me anyway lol. Good luck! I believe in you! I believe that you totally aren't about to get the ass whooping of a lifetime! :D 👍
Also, clearly haven't completed chapter 4 yet, but I've been almost certain that Peepaw is actually Gerson from the moment I met him. The fact that even the battle is avoiding his name is confirming it for me. Like-- I'm sensing a setup where Gerson reveals his name at the end and Susie just goes, "Wait a sec... aren't you supposed to be dead??" and Gerson's like "Am I? Hmm... Well I suppose that would explain why (old person ailment) isn't bothering me so much anymore." and everyone freaks out because "Holy shit, we've been talking to a GHOST this entire time?!"
Yes guys. Yes you have. I'm almost certain.
...Maybe Peepaw isn't even dodging, maybe he literally can't be hit because he's literally a ghost lmfao.
i hope theyre friends forever. ....
Still incoherent about the new chapters, but something just occurred to me about the mechanics of the player's influence on Kris. In chapter four, Kris defies us by maliciously complying with our command's exact words:
Compare this to a similar scene with Asriel's room in Queen's mansion, where they simply close their eyes as we do the motion of opening the door- here they change what the actual motion is based on the command's wording.
Earlier, they cover their mouth before they can be cruel to Ralsei:
Kris stops themselves from completing their own sentence- they don't have any evidence to just predict what the player will say next, so this confirms they are aware of the whole sentence they have to say before they say it. Kris isn't just being forced through physical actions by the Red Soul, they can actually hear the entire command.
I don't know what to do with this piece of information at all.

figured i would post this here too….. Love this dialogue so much. Top 1 transgender protagonists

Okay, so one thought I had rattling in my head for a bit now is that the Dark Sanctuary of Deltarune Chapter 4 really reminds me of Undertale’s Waterfall.
I mean, the Dark Sanctuary doesn’t really have the water theming but… they are both the darkest parts of the game, both in a literal visual sense. With a mostly darker color-scheme and puzzles themed around darkness
and also in the narrative sense, being the most serious, solemn and grim part of the game. While Waterfall has its moments of levity and, y’know, Temmie Village, there’s a lot more focus of scenes of melancholy or fear compared to other parts of the game. While Undyne can be a very silly character, she only shows that side of herself to the Human during her Boss Fight right at the end and she’s otherwise a quiet and no-nonsense antagonist.
Deltarune Chapter 4 is the darkest chapter of Deltarune so far. It also has it's funnier moments but… The Church Dark World concept leads itself to much more serious theming and designs for the backgrounds and the enemies, it has some of the most serious exploration of our main characters' personalities and arcs, and has a lot of emphasize on the fact the stakes have been raised and Shit Just Got Real.
Plus, both Chapters deal heavily in the lore written on the walls of that area
Including a Prophecy
(well, in Deltarune it's exclusively a Prophecy, in Undertale it focuses on History and also includes a Prophecy)
And on a larger scale, both of these writings introduce the idea that the information we/the characters had before on the Lore is not the full picture.
And y'know, Gerson, who is present in both areas but also…
As the Hammer of Justice he also serves as a very heavy parallel to the Boss Fight(s) against Undyne in Undertale, both in visual design and gameplay (the Green Soul Mode).
Also, y'know, Piano Puzzles...
The thing is just… I didn't quite know what to do with this comparison. I mean, speculating on the idea the next Chapter would somehow be a Hotland Counterpart feels incredibly silly considering we already had two Dark Worlds that are very Hotland-like…
Which is when I realized, what if Deltarune Chapters correspond to Undertale areas but in reverse?
The Dark Sanctuary is like Waterfall and before it, TV World is a lot like Hotland, focused on TV-themed minigames controlled by an attention-hungry rectangular Game Show Host.
Cyber World would be the CORE, as the most high-tech themed areas in their respective games
And Queen and Spamton both including elements of Mettaton EX/NEO
Including Spamton NEO having the Yellow Soul Mode.
And Card Castle is the counterpart to New Home. Since these areas are both meant to be, well, a castle and it's surrounding area.
And King obviously being kind of a dark thematic reflection of Asgore.
…That would make Chapter 5 a Snowdin parallel to some degree, then Chapter 6 as a Ruins parallel, leaving Chapter 7 to do something totally off-the-rails and unique and unpredictable… Question is just what would that mean for Chapter 5 to be a "Snowdin Parallel"?
Since the Dark Sanctuary didn't really have water and TV World didn't really have magma-stuff, I don't think that would mean Chapter 5 would necessarily be an ice world, and indeed the only real hint we have to Chapter 5 right now is about a garden.
… It could be a somewhat more light-hearted Chapter after the huge drama-bombs we just had, since Snowdin is probably the most light-hearted and friendly part of Undertale… but there's also plenty of ways for it to be just as lore-heavy and serious and filled with revelations. Since the two things Snowdin was known for is the introduction of the Skeleton Brothers and it's Holiday Theming.
...holy hell. yknow what. I have a wild speculation for how a holiday-themed chapter 5 might go down.
the dark world is in Noelle's house (which absolutely has a vast garden if that's relevant). the main antagonist is probly a big ol' santa or somthn like that and the hidden boss is some kind of personified guitar with depression
About halfway through the chapter we come across a mysterious silhouette-y character who keeps appearing on the edge of the screen, moving just out of frame after every screen transition. Susie remarks that they look like the knight, so wants to chase after them. Eventually we catch up with... and it's a lightner, a girl who looks kind of similar to Noelle but older and sadder. She periodically joins you on your quest. She never says her name or where she came from.
You part ways with her before sealing the fountain. As she walks away, Susie mentions looking forward to meeting her again in the light world, since she must have been in the house somewhere. Ralsei suddenly looks sad and admits that he has to tell Susie something.
She wasn't exactly a lightner. She was something in between... a memory. Like the old man in the church, brought back by the dark fountain but not quite real.
So… the parental lock password puzzles…
Considering the Toby Fox Multiverse Games are known for their vast amount of Developer’s Foresight and optional dialogue for any tiny possibility the Player can do (and some things they technically can't even do without hacking)
All to make the game and its characters feel real and alive….
It does feel notable that, apparently, Kris entering the passwords is always described as being done “Knowingly”.
Even if the Player hasn’t done the puzzle, even if they checked the solution online or just totally guessed it. It is always done “Knowingly”.
And I think what that means is that Kris already knew the passwords. Since the locks are presumably based on the real Parental Locks Toriel used, they probably figured their passwords out a long time ago so they could watch violent movies and sexy music videos. The puzzles to reveal the passwords are purely to the benefit of the Player.
So first of all this is another example of how Chapter 3 uses Tenna and TV World’s close connection to Kris and their family life to highlight the fact that Kris is a separate entity from us and that there are many things they know but we don’t.
Second of all, since Kris does try and hint at the right answers during Tenna’s quizzes… I think it’s worthwhile to consider that Kris maybe chose not to fill in the parental lock password or chose to not give us a hint? That this is maybe subtle foreshadowing of the fact they are in on the Knight’s plan on some level. So even if they have to go along with our commands, they’re going to be… a little unhelpful if they can. To at least stall us a little.
Third of all, this whole thing of us controlling Kris to try and find a Password that Kris themself already knows…. Is also the whole conceit of the Ending of Chapter 3 and the Beginning of Chapter 4.
Deltarune: The Image of Divinity and The Angel
(MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR CH 4 of DELTARUNE and UNDERTALE)
If you haven't found this scene, go back to the room where you have to avoid a bunch of Shadow Blobs shortly after reaching the Third Sanctuary. Find a way into the hidden room on the bottom right-side of the room (follow the broken path) and you'll see this at the right side of the hall.
This string of dialogue, especially Susie's uneasy reaction, creeps the hell out of me.
Whatever the Angel's identity is, its physical form is something so terrifying and beyond comprehension that even in the minimalistic style the Prophecy normally uses, Susie is stunned by the implications of just looking at it.
One brilliant theory that I've heard a couple of people mention already is that the empty space is meant to reflect our screens like a black mirror. We are The Angel in this interpretation.
That's just crazy, and I'm very into it.
I'd like to delve a little further into this train of thought that may or may not confirm this theory further.
Remember what the Titan looks like right before we fight it?
BALD
It's a human skull. Maybe even what the Titan's skeleton looks like underneath its divine angelic flesh.
When I first got to this section, I almost thought that the Titan would just be a full on human JPEG like Photoshop Flowey was in Undertale.
Speaking of which...
What... is this even supposed to be?
This is one facet of Undertale that's always been neglected because we've never found any concrete answers for what it could be.
For all we're concerned, it's just part of the absurd horror imagery that Toby is trying to invoke during this section, and we're not meant to think too hard on it.
Except...
Toby used this face as his pfp on Twitter until the release of Deltarune Ch 1. So either he's really proud of the damn face or there's something more to it.
I don't really have an answer for this, but what I will guess right now is:
I think this is what the Angel looks like.
Not the Omega Flowey face specifically, but it's likely a pixelated human face.
Consider the similarities between these examples. This distorted human imagery has been used twice to depict divine beings.
One showing Flowey ascending to a higher state of existence.
The other shows a nigh-unstoppable world-ending monster only depicted in legend.
And The Angel is something akin to Deltarune's Abrahamic God or The Savior. Churches and an entire religion are dedicated to The Angel, yet we only see it depicted as the symbol of the Deltarune.
Let's take a few steps back and return to the "The Angel is The Player" theory.
There's actually one big piece of evidence for this theory in Undertale:
Ominous how early Toby planted these seeds huh?
In Undertale, The Angel is 100% meant to be You on each of the 3 playable routes. Now "You" is a bit subjective because that noun could be applied to 3 candidates:
You "The Player"
Frisk the MC you control
Chara, the true identity of the red SOUL
Regardless of who The Angel refers to in this messed-up trio, one very bold statement is conveyed.
The Angel decides the ending of the story.
And we, as The Player, get to decide how this ending plays out.
To the characters of Undertale and Deltarune, yeah, that's divine power alright. A power that Spamton considered his ticket to [Heaven].
If this theory holds true, then that means a person behind the screen is the image of divine power. In Undertale/Deltarune The image of God is...
A REAL human.
Am I crazy, or is there legitimately a possibility of there being two knights? Or at least the Knight representing a team up between two people.
We all know there's evidence for Dess being the Knight, the antlers, the lost girl motif, the bat, and Asriel parallels. But it feels off...
Like why is the Knight so distinctly Papyrus shaped? Why is a point made to show their ribcage?
WHY DOES PAPYRUS LITERALLY VANISH RIGHT AFTER CHAPTER 3??? WHY HAS HIS ABSENCE BEEN POINTED OUT SO MANY TIMES?
It's not that big of a stretch honestly. In chess you play with two knights. In the cutscene about the roaring we see two titans that resemble the Knight.
I have a very long Google Doc detailing all the evidence I've gathered. I might end up sharing it when I'm finished idk.
I'm calling Pap and Dess are both the Knight(s) like I did initially on call lol
There's waaaaay too much evidence for both for it to be simple misdirection or whatever, it's also more subtle things too: For instance the parallels for the meeting scene between the knight and Undyne
Same positions, one is a knight, one is a rookie knight, one scene on friendly and familiar terms and one the opposite
Firstly, thanks for the credit, but unfortunately the edit doesn't apply to previous reblogs 🙃so I'm putting the credit bit here lol
SECONDLY,
I was gonna shout out this video
It adds a lot of little things to evidence pile (things before chapter 3 ofc tho), and its one of the main reasons me and Sam think Pap is so directly involved (outside of really liking Papyrus)
It's also a sneak peak into the doc too lol
DELTARUNE EGG MAN + some guy who is refusing to show up
hmmm
hmm
Note the lack of asterisk and the all caps. "but fluo, the other characters in this world also spoke the same way" YEAh that's why it's the perfect way to conceal someone who often speaks in this same manner!!! jk jk but WHAT IF
(in ch4's egg room, the secretary speaks in all caps but has an asterisk)
does any of this make sense
So, where is he?
wait.
So we know he has a thing with not sleeping and all that. right. What does this mean...
there was something else I wanted to add but ironically I have forgotten what that was. Anyway, is Papyrus the egg man? I don't know. Is he in any way connected to him? maybe.
