Hello. My name is Ririchiyo Shirakiin. I attend XX Academy, and am currently in my first year of highschool. Don't mind me. Asking for an extensive amount of information about me is unnecesary, so please refrain from inquiring such pointless questions. It's all under my school profile anyways. Hey guys! I’m sorry for the significant lack of activity as of late--I had to drop everything and go out of town. I’ll be back and updating shortly, but I just wanted to let you guys know that everything’s alright, and that I don’t intend to drop the threads I have going.

As she wandered listlessly through the sunflower fields, she wondered how she’d managed to get into this situation. One moment she’d been cleaning up her apartment, finally satisfied with her work, and the next she’d been whisked off to Ashizawa Park with a group of friends from Ayakashi Kan. The summer heat bared down upon her as she sat down on a nearby bench, shielding her eyes from the sun as she looked off into the distance.

“Where are they?” she wondered aloud, wanting nothing more than to return home.

Finally, a day to herself. No studying, no worrying. Time to take a break. She decided to use this day to spending time in Ashizawa Park. She heard from her online friends that the park was a great spot for sunflowers. In her yellow sundress and her straw hat, she set off. Once she arrived, her eyes widened in awe. She has never seen so many sunflowers before. 

As on instinct, she took out her phone to take a picture. “Going to put this on my blog! I have to show this to MegaPig and Black Rabbit!” she giggled. Before she took the picture, she noticed the girl. She stopped and puts her phone away. She can take the photo later. The sunflowers aren’t going anywhere. It seemed like she was lost.

She slowly approached her. “Umm… Is everything okay…?” she asked softly. But she wasn’t entirely sure if the girl heard her or not.

Riririchiyo had heard someone behind as she’d made her way down the path, but having glanced behind her, had disregarded the stranger. She was looking for the culprits who had dragged her out of the comforts of home, not a girl in a sundress. As she continued to sit, absorbed in her thoughts, she heard a small voice calling out to her. She snapped out of her reverie and looked in the direction she’d heard from. It was the girl in the sundress again, her expression visibly concerned.

“Umm… Is everything okay…?” she asked softly.

She tried to act disinterested as she usually would but couldn’t find it in herself to be dishonest.

With as much hauteur as she could manage in the oppressive heat, she replied, “No, not really...but it’s fine.”

As the sun set in the darkening sky, Ririchiyo couldn’t help but sigh in contentment. The weather outside had become much cooler, and the sound of cicadas in the trees brought back to her memories of summertime with her friends at Ayakashi Kan. With a popsicle in hand, she made her way towards the familiar park where she’d made many memories years prior. As she plopped down on a swing, using her legs to move back and forth, she smiled.

“I’ve missed this place,” she murmured.

“I do apologize for my careless footwork, but we couldn’t help but recognize, that you have the expression of someone--”

She hadn’t expected a response. She had been panicking, still was panicking, and wanted nothing more than to disappear. In an attempt to calm herself, she shifted her focus to her surroundings, soon taking notice of a figure standing behind the person in front of her. Something seemed a bit...off about the young woman, but she couldn’t quite place what it was. Perhaps it was her eyes, darting about here and there.. In any case, she looked back towards the girl with bright green eyes who had addressed her.

“--- who is lost. Are you looking for something, or perhaps you are lost?”

Having reacquired some measure of self-control, rather than lashing out per usual, she sighed.

“Yes, I’m lost. Would you happen to know this area?”

She paused for a moment as the older woman stepped forward to stroke the girl’s hair. It was strange to see such open forms of affection in public, and the sight of it made her blush. As she glanced away, she realized her past transgression against the duo.

“...And I apologize for my behavior as well.”

Open Starter : Fireworks!

【✎】”Dazzling…” The redhead sat on the grassy hill, just gazing at the fireworks that blew out bright colors. He gave out a sincere smile, enjoying the view.

Ririchiyo looked up at the night sky, marveling at the fireworks up above. She’d seen them many times before from the balcony of her apartment building, but they had never seemed quite as beautiful as they did for her now. Her lips quirked up into a small smile as she took in the sights and sounds of this special occasion, the lights from the festival a short distance away casting the night in a rosy glow, the fireworks bursting above it only making it the scene even more picturesque.

”Dazzling…”

She started at the sound of a voice behind her, having thought herself alone once again, but as she glanced over her shoulder, she realized she’d been wrong. A boy who didn’t look much older than herself, with red hair and a lanky build was sitting off to the side. He was gazing at the fireworks, his eyes lit up with the bright colors they emitted. Without thinking, she murmured, “They are, aren’t they?”

My younger brother abruptly shut my computer off in the middle of writing up a draft. I'm online though, and working on replies. If you'd like a starter, feel free to like this post, and I'll get one started as soon as I'm finished.

“Excuse me, miss?” He approached, paper in his hand, “I saw you walk by and you seemed to accidentally drop this,” he extended his hand towards her so she could take the paper, “I don’t know if it is important to you or not but I’d rather you not go home only to find that you lost it.”

She’d been walking in town with her bag slung over her shoulder and her head down, clutching the file with her school transcript in it close to her chest. It was the last day of the semester and she was intent on making a beeline home so that she could take a nice, cool bath, as the sudden onset of summer heat had made the small classrooms stifling. Having the heat radiating in waves off the asphalt beneath her and the back of her neck slick with sweat did nothing to help her usually surly attitude, and her displeasure showed clearly on her face.

“Excuse me, miss?” 

Ririchiyo turned at the sound of an unfamiliar voice dubiously. She wasn’t often approached by strangers, and she had nearly doubted he’d been addressing her in the first place, but their hand was definitely outstretched in her general direction. In fact, in their hand was her student transcript.

“I don’t know if it is important to you or not but I’d rather you not go home only to find that you lost it.”

She glanced at his hand, then back up to his face, and down to the file in her hands. 

‘It’s empty.’

At first, she was at a loss for words. When she finally managed a reply, it wasn’t nearly as concise nor as articulate as she could’ve hoped.

“T-t-that’s my transcript!” she yelped, snatching the paper out of his hands. She regretted her choice of words as soon as they left her mouth, and after safely tucking the transcript and the rest of her file in her bag, she couldn’t help but grimace, looking down at the pavement in shame. She briefly considered taking her leave there, fleeing without saying another word, but this person hadn’t done anything wrong. In fact, she knew that he’d only been trying to be courteous. After a three agonizingly long seconds of silence, she said in a small voice, “...thank you.” 

"And sorry...’”she added, almost as an afterthought.

Coffee Conundrums

Breathing in the scent of brewing coffee always put her mind at ease, and as she entered the little cafe, a small smile graced her lips. Although its location was far from ideal, tucked near the alleyway behind the local grocer, it was never wanting for customers, with people young and old alike congregating there for various occasions. She’d found it while wandering about the neighborhood a few months back, and since then, it had become her place of solace. She could even spit out a few words to the nice barista without insulting him anymore.

After ordering her drink, she realized that the majority of the seats in the room had been taken. She stood by the counter for a moment, reluctant to leave. Luckily, she spotted an empty seat in the corner which appeared to have gone unnoticed. Preoccupied with the drink in her hands and the book in the crook of here elbow, she sat down, but at the sound of a small cough she realized she was not alone.

‘What am I supposed to say in this situation?’

Warm sand, the sensation of water lapping at one’s feet, and the salty breeze that came with being by the seaside were what most teenage girls lived for during the summer. That, and the sun’s rays kissing at exposed skin. Today was one such day, the epitome of a perfect summer day. Girls shrieked as they crashed about in the shallows, children ran across the sand shovels and pails, and boys played volleyball (which quickly devolved into a vicious game of dodgeball) over a line of rope they’d found washed ashore.

While the idea of a fun time at the beach had enticed Ririchiyo away from home, once she’d finally arrived, she found herself suddenly wishing she could go back, creating a million and one excuses that would take her away from here and back into the quiet but comfortable solitude of her own home. Unfortunately, she’d already assured security that she would return at exactly 5PM, and therefore, anyone who could’ve possibly let her back into the complex was busy--or rather, not busy--relaxing on their day off.

She sighed as she approached the tide pools, a small frown on her face as she sat on edge of a rock that jutted out particularly far into the water.

“Maybe I can find a way to enjoy this..” she thought aloud, “Maybe.”

She didn’t expect a response, nor the sight of a brilliant pair of blue eyes peering up at her from beneath the surface of the water.

As Ririchiyo made her way through town, she couldn’t help but reminisce. The warm summer breeze reminded her of summers with her friends at Ayakashi Kan, and the sound of tinkling wind chimes were enough to make herself lost in reverie--or simply lost. When she’d finally looked up, she couldn’t help but notice that she was in a neighborhood unfamiliar to her. There were no police officers or stations nearby, and it seemed that the streets were deserted. Her shoulders hunched forward.

‘How come this only happens when I’m alone? I’ve only just moved here and already I’m lost... What if I never find my way back? What if--’

Her head snapped up as she bumped into someone else who had appeared to have been watching her in her state of panic.

“Why don’t you watch where you’re going?” she snapped.

“My mom says yokai could be real, and I’m sure there are other adults who think that way too!”

She looked down at him, watching as his expression shifted from contemplative to indignant. Lacking prior experience with children, she wasn’t sure how to properly respond. In fact, she rather wished that she hadn’t left the house in the first place, immensely regretting her idea to get some fresh air, especially after having bumped into this kid.

‘Oh no, he’s pouting. You’re doing it again. You’re doing the thing where you close yourself off and start acting defensive, and you’ve probably ruined this kid’s day--’

Her train of thought broke off, however, as he resumed speaking.

“Why don’t you believe in yokai, huh?”

As she struggled to formulate a proper response, her mouth pressed into a hard line. Of course, she was fretting for no reason at all. He hadn’t insinuated in the slightest that he was a yokai or that she was a yokai; he’d simply asked a question.

‘Children love questions, right? Especially dumb questions about fantastical creatures that don’t exist. His mother was probably humoring him.’

With these thoughts in mind, she mentally reassured herself that, once again, she had psyched herself out. She had this under control. Looking him directly in the eyes--not a difficult task given her small stature--she replied, “Because it’s scientifically impossible to prove that they even exist.”

She let the silence drag out between them, raising her chin a bit higher as if she had said something exceedingly clever.

‘Silly boy, of course they don’t exist.'

“Do you believe in yokai?”

“Y-Yokai? Why do you ask?” Ririchiyo straightened her posture upon hearing the abrupt question, trying not to look as taken aback as she felt. Whenever the term ‘yokai’ was brought up in day-to-day conversation, it usually meant trouble for her, and that was the last thing she wanted to deal with today. After a brief pause, she realized how suspicious her response must have sounded, especially to a child. She crossed her arms and in as haughty a voice she could muster added, “I mean... of course I don’t, what kind of adult do you take me for?”

Hello! Once again, I find myself in the awkward position of a RPer who has to re-introduce themselves.

I am a former member of a RP group that was rather prominent a few years ago, which unfortunately, disbanded after growing to a certain size. Since leaving that group, I've come and gone from this blog, mostly because I could never really find a comfortable RPing 'niche.' In any case, I'm really happy to be back and eager to start some new threads, and I can't wait to meet you all (once again)!

Makoto looked to the girl blinking a little bit “Yes that is me..” Makoto said looking a bit confused.

He seemed a bit confused; however, she persisted.

"Oh, good... Here's the forms that Miss Amakata asked me to hand out. You are the captain of the swim club, correct?"

A cool breeze passed by, and the forms that she proffered rustled. She looked towards the pool where there were a few students practicing, wondering how it must feel to be swimming in early fall but quickly abandoned the thought. She had work to do.

"These forms are to be passed out to each member, as well as the manager; however, they're supposed to be given to the captain first when the manager is not around. I've asked the other males here, but I can't seem to find a Gou," she said a bit sheepishly.

"If you want her to write you a starter, she's usually more than happy to oblige; however, she might not write a starter for every new follower, etc. unless it's been requested, so if you do want one, feel free to ask. Unless she gets 10.000 requests, she probably won't reject you. She's not that popular, so--"

*muffled screaming as Ririchiyo is moved far, far away from the keyboard*

--so, yeah. I'm only taking requests right now, because if I take up 50 starters as I'm prone to doing, I will be overloaded because at least 13 out of 50 will reply to those starters when I'm lucky. But that doesn't mean my appreciation has gone down; I still adore each and every one of you even if I don't reply as fast as lightning or don't follow you back, and you can talk to me whenever uwu So, uh, yeah, I'll see you guys later <3
