It does focus more on their neighbors (221 Boys don't feature until the 2nd half of Season 2) but the writing and the mystery gives some old school vibes and it's a hoot and a half to listen to~

does anyone else think routinely about how PGSM making princess serenity the villain of the story fundamentally changed the fabric of thinking about sailor moon as a whole. does anyone else lie awake thinking about how PGSM having minako dies changes her entire relationship to rei. does anyone else just stare into the distance thinking about how mamoru helping usagi in the last battle, after spending so much time trying to fight his feelings and honor his fiancee who saved his life just totally changes the fabric of their relationship. does anyone just think about the darkury arc and how ami's jealousy is so warranted and so interesting and that her love of usagi is such a huge driving force of the show. does anyone just think about PGSM 10+ years later.
