How does Steve feel when a more alien Avenger or Avenger’s Ally like a Guardian or Asguardian is like I heard you are supposed to ask for blessings from the heads of households if you wanna pursue a member so since you are team leader can I get your approval to ask Tony Stark out?

And of course Steve is pining for Tony so this is a conundrum. (Especially post CW). He needs to be fair! He needs to be clear he doesn’t give out the approval on anyone’s behalf! But oohhh he wants to refuse it on impulse doesn’t he lol poor Steve. And by saying no approval needed that really opens the door for whomever…

Steve needs to put his strategic mind at work and figure out the best way to say no without actually saying no. Admittedly he may start feeling punchy if the alien/ally can’t stop talking at length about Tony’s Wonderful Assets to him, so Steve would probably have to recruit Natasha. But like, in a professional, leader-meaning-well way, and not because he’s being a ~whiny baby~. Natasha can side-eye him all she wants as long as she HELPS HIM. 😥
