number one rule! never believe ur thoughts after 10 pm . unless its about The Character then believe all of your thoughts wholeheartedly
u guys scare me this is an untagged post Where are u coming from
PSA to fan creators who don't have a lot of regular contact with children: They are almost always bigger than you think. A 1-year-old baby may already be walking. A toddler is likely already hip-high. A 10-year-old may already be taller than at least one of their parents. A 14/15 year old may already have reached their adult height.

Here's the link. It was actually not immediately easy to find, so I thought this might help.
[Image ID: Tumblr tags reading: I am once again asking everyone writing kids ages 14 and under to read Yardsticks on openlibrary dot org
you don't even have to read the whole thing just read the section for the age you're writing
it will tell you where they most likely are re: physical emotional and cognitive development
also please stop drawing characters who are like 8 as waist-high on their teenage siblings
or 12-year-olds as teeny weeny next to adults
I was the smallest kid in my class and I was still 4'6 by the time I was 11
and the 7th graders are always taller than I am by the time springs rolls around /End ID]
dude, this is really scary, and liminal as well. It's like the bathrooms
My ford got a hydrolic module with a jumping bean in it
bro are drivers insane? That's like the second car-related post on Tumblr with the amount of hatred literally not seen under any other type of post ever
Yeah the jumping bean makes the car jump over/across
Road rage is so bad because it's the same rage anyone would feel at a computer working wrong, (slow internet, program not doing what you want, whatever), but it raises the stakes to "possibly literally life or death".
Basically it works by containing the power of the mexigan jumping bean to fire the cylanders inside of the wheel hydraulics and create a massive jumping force
ok note to self i gotta leave the house regularly so that i dont feel like im slowly transforming into an evil fucking shadow clone of myself
So as it turns out your sense of self doesnt exist in a vacuum. You gotta actually use it and bounce it off of other people like echolocation to see where you are as a person and shit. So if you dont regularly interact with other people the echoes just get weaker and weaker and before you know it your personality is a blurry fucked up fog clone of its former self. which it sucks because this makes it really hard to interact with people again but yknow

posting about being a "sensitive white boy" in 2026 just makes you sound like this
slaps these here cause why not
why do so many recent fantasy books only have a single non-binary person in them. everyone understands the person is non-binary there is no stumbling over pronouns or need to explain—yes, the wizard librarian we’ve all seen them—but there’s only ever One. the author cares enough to acknowledge the existence of people who fall outside of a gender binary but not enough to invest in there being like. a community. wizard gender studies. there’s just grevory the they/them librarian who sprung fully formed and fully non-binary into the magical land of fortinblargh or whatever the fuck
What’s this book about? Glad you asked. Morsel by @carterkeane is a debut folk horror novel about learning to bite back when the world is determined to eat you alive. Think The Blair Witch Project meets The Menu.
Cover art by Emerald Barkley; design by Jess Kiley.
I love you guys but I think a lot of you are the kind of people who are susceptible to falling in with a cult.
You’re right. We should all band together under a trustworthy and influential leader who can keep us safe from outside threats
Reblogging this manually. Op doesn't want credit for fear of being terminated.
Scifi is when the hot butch wears a tank top and cargo pants and carries a complex but beat up looking tool that looks vaguely like a welding torch but it's ✨plasma✨ and fantasy is when the hot butch wears armor and a banner and carries an implement of death wrought in steel
