To move forward we need to acknowledge our true history
On this day in 1788 this land was invaded I acknowledge the murder, rape, loss, pain, suffering, and disconnection past and present
I acknowledge continuous trans- generational trauma, the stolen now and then, systematic oppression and racism, cover up, life expectancy disparity, ignorance and misconceptions that time heals all, and this generation holds no accountability
I acknowledge First Nation strength, connection, wisdom, fight and the ability to thrive and teach us through this adversity
I acknowledge the personality, spirituality, power, mystery, and knowledge of this land my host country
I acknowledge this plight and struggle worldwide, incl my country of birth Aotearoa KiaKaha
I acknowledge the interconnection of all countries land and sea, in this world and all others, beings and all life, and vow to honour it, through healing and light Lest we forget May we be forgiven May Australia heal May we heal the world May we acknowledge the past and work together May we celebrate Survival and connection
