Ever so recently, I was looking through some old Google Docs I had and found a storyline I have made for Gingerbrave roughly a year after I joined CRK community (so think late 2022). I looked over the document trying to remember when I wrote it and what the plot of the story was about. I also looked through the version history and saw that I altered and continued it until three months after the Odyssey Update. This was also during the time I was dipping my toes back onto story writing again after stepping back from it for no really good reason other than simply losing interest in it. I also apparently had several personal notes scattered in parts of the story to remind me where I got that idea for a certain detail for concept which is something I still do. I would include these notes as well. I read through the document since younger me didn't think it was necessary to write a summary or anything similar and here's what the story was about from what I read.
One last thing, if you're not of fan Gingerbrave or his character, that's completely fine and understandable. That's your opinion and I respect that. But please come to this post and tell me I was wasting my time writing a story around "that boring, annoying excuse for a main character cookie". I don't want to hear. This was for entertainment and boredom and nothing else.
The current story follows Gingerbrave some time after the latest Odyssey update with Gingerbrave back at the Cookie Run Kingdom (that's what I called it back then and now since putting in my own kingdom's name weird me out for whatever reason). Per usual, Gingerbrave is going around the kingdom making sure everyone is happy and safe. Planning festivals and events that makes everyone happy while also looking over some construction that is needing to be done (based around the CRK Insta post of Ginger and some sugar nomes working on the CRK castle). Despite the kingdom not having a declared king, Gingerbrave tends to take on the role of king more often than he thinks. While he doesn't believe that personally and considers what he does as cookie wanting to help, the responsibility he takes on does takes it toll on him.
He's been working even extra hard since the war is become more and more present and the protection of his friends in his greatest concern. After a particular rough day of running the kingdom, Gingerbrave decided to take a simple night stroll through the forest and let off a bit of steam (He isn't afraid of the dark forest since he ventures there often to expand the kingdom. In game logic.). He was stressed. He knows that, despite not wanting to admit it since worrying his friends is the last thing he wants. He had so much to do and wanted everyone to be happy, which sometimes leads to him neglecting his own peace. Which he surprisingly doesn't show.
However, this simple stroll take a very dangerous turn since he takes a wrong step off a cliff and takes a hard tumble. When he did stop falling, he was in pretty bad shape. Cracks in some areas and bruising in other (Despite his feats, getting caught off guard can result in some bad injuries). This was the worse Ginger has ever been injured, even in his battles with antagonist he faced.
He tried to slowly make his way back to kingdom but with a injured body within a barely visible forest, the only thing he did was put himself deeper into danger. Hurting so badly that he eventually passes out from the pain.
When Gingerbrave finally wakes up, he's in an very familiar setting in an unfamiliar situation. At some point or another, Ginger was found by witch that was passing by collecting Queen of the Nights (A type of night blooming flower). This character's names is Lasolyn (La-So-Lin) who's name was later changes Eos.
Eos is witch that appeared to be in her early 30s despite being in silhouette mostly (Apparently I based this character off a blasian Pinterest design which I cannot find.)
Much like many other witches, Eos is baker who uses magical ingredients in her bake goods. However, she does agree with the whole idea of making living cookies just to eat them. It's actually very disturbing for her (Referring to the origin of DE and what WL found out). Her magical ingredients are meant to enhance the experience, not creating life to eat.
She nursed Gingerbrave back to health, and altered his appearance a bit to do so (Yes I do have the drawing of this redesign.).
The rest next part of the document is about how everyone started to notice that Gingerbrave wasn't around and were getting worried. So, Crunchy Chip, Caramel Arrow, Black Raisin, and Wildberry sets off to find him while Eos is becoming like a mother/therapist figure to Ginger as he sorts out his head.
I'm still debating rather or not I want to continue this story. Let me know of anyone wants to see more or wants to see the character designs.
