Cotton candy man killed it [Dancing like Michael Jackson]
Don’t let The Cotton Candy Man’s crude setup get in the way of his otherworldly dancing abilities. He’s really good.
It’s rare to see naturally talent play itself out so beautifully. His feet, his hands, and his cotton candy machine are all there to make you focus on him, but what you don’t realize is you’re subliminally being told to stop smoking.
Cotton Candy Man is a new kind of advocate. He uses dancing and hand gestures akin to Michael Jackson to get his message across to his Milennial audience. His anti-smoking crusade takes a fun turn with his use of oceanic imagery and sugary sweet cotton candy. Nearly every Milennial in the audience was recording this commercial on their mobile devices. A geotargeted spike in shared microtransmissions on at least 1.93 social networks per Milennial were seen from Candy Man’s location. Milennials are sharing on average 1,700 times a day.
Cotton Candy Man’s video sends a strong message to Milennials that smoking is not cool. Cotton candy and dancing? They are cool.
Highways
I drive on the highway every day, fast too. Sometimes I can’t believe how fast everyone’s going. I’m just trying to keep up, and then some. Crazy stuff happens on the highway. When I look at the people I’m driving past, I notice no one’s really paying attention. As long as you’re in a lane, you’re good to go.
This is why the signs are so big, and thought out, and well constructed. If they were tiny and nondescript, we’d be lost, because none of us are paying attention to anything on the road.
Road signs are huge and they’re reflective, so they work. Every day, I pass the same signs, but I always check to see if the street names are the same as yesterday.
The artist Richard Ankrom is so moved by highway signs, he replicated a California State Highway road sign and placed it on an overpass.
He documented the whole creation and installation in a video called Guerrilla Public Service.
He made a carbon copy of a road sign. No one noticed it. It took 8 years for CalTrans to remove it from the overpass.
I have to imagine he helped millions of commuters find their way when they possibly wouldn’t have otherwise. He is a savior of the road.
Accidents
Last year while driving on Interstate 75 in Detroit, I saw a car on the shoulder in flames. I took two pictures, while driving.
I have no idea how a fire like this starts, but I don’t think speed or signage had anything to do with it. This is just a crude way some people show their love in the city of Detroit.
In full blown car fires, I’m also not sure of the explosion risk. I’ve seen videos on YouTube where the car just explodes, so why is it okay for me to drive by this? Honest question, you guys.
Weird things are happening all over the world. This isn’t just an American thing, my friends. In Russia, someone spotted an SUV smashed in two, and kept together with tape. The driver makes it work. I thought I’d add, It looks like a Toyota truck, which have been described as indestructible by people who describe cars.
Russia seems like a country where you can really express yourself on the highway, which I respect.
One of the hardest parts of being in a band is finding the right time to practice. Which is why I also respect these young musicians for using their time wisely. Rippin’ down the Russian freeway, thrashing with the wind in your hair, bugs in your teeth - THIS is metal.
If anything, what I’ve learned from driving on the highway is you can do anything you want, as long as you stay in your lane.
Stay safe out there!
Cool Things
Hi, I think I’d like to change things around. I’m changing the name of this blog and rounding any unnecessary edges. I promise to keep posts informative, funny, or both.

Here are some hip Amish teens on their Rumspringa visit to the UK.
I like the idea of Rumspringa. It's quite good. It seems like fun, and I'd like to hang out with some Amish on their Rumspringa and catch them up on what's been going on.
One thing I learned was the Amish tradition of 'bundling' - which is when you hop in bed with someone with your clothes on and go to sleep. Wikipedia says: "When used for courtship, the aim was to allow intimacy without sexual intercourse."
Cool guys.
As I said, I'd like to meet up with Rumspringin' teens to fill them in on how to party. It could be fun and educational.

99 Year old Israeli lady had 1,400 descendants, claimed to know all of them.
Meet Rachel Krishevsky. Unfortunately, Rachel died in 2009. Fortunately, she had 1,400 descendants. How did this all begin? First, she married her cousin.
UPI says:
Rachel Krishevsky, who married her cousin, Yitzhak, before age 19 and lived to see her great-great grandchildren, died Saturday, Ynetnews.com reported. The couple had 11 children, seven sons and four daughters.
Much like dominoes, one child had a few more, another and even more children. By the time Rachel was 99, there were 1,400 of her spawn.
I thought this was kind of crazy, but apparently it's not too rare in Jerusalem. Some others have her beat, but the exact numbers aren't known.
Though Krishevsky certainly produced many offspring, she did was not a record-breaker. In the haredi sector, there are two well-known cases of living people having great-great-great-grandchildren. One such case is in a Hassidic family living in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Mea Shearim. Another such family is that of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, the leader of the Lithuanian branch of haredi Judaism. A few months ago, his great-great-grandson had his first child.
Well, this is great news. BRB while I go find these people. I have questions to ask.
8th grade in 1912 seems really difficult.
Here's your test. Look over it closely. You have one hour from the moment I tell you to flip them over. Do not flip them over before I tell you to. If you have to get up to go to the bathroom, please raise your hand.
Ready.
You may now ... begin.
Time is up. Please turn your test over and pass it to your left. I will be coming up the rows to collect them, please have them facedown.
Thanks to the Smithsonian for shit like this: http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/smartnews/2013/07/no-youre-probably-not-smarter-than-a-1912-era-8th-grader/
The US Military spends $45.90 dollars on one screw.
reddit user Sligmit posted this picture of a bolt for a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, aka a Humvee. It costs $49.90, but the question was raised, perhaps it's an incredibly important component of the vehicle. True, but then Sligmit came back to say, "I don't think it justifies spending that much. If we had different suppliers to choose from, maybe competition would lower the price."
It's hard not to go into some sort of anti-bureaucracy about the government, but if it's just a regular old bolt, why the fuck does it cost $45.90?

Airplane drops shit on people's house and cars.
A few people in Mississauga, Ontario - a massive suburb outside of Toronto - have complained airplanes heading to Toronto's Pearson Airport are dropping shit on their cars and houses.
The Sullivan family of Mississauga said their driveway and three cars were splattered with what appeared to be feces dropped from a plane Wednesday, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Friday.
"It just covered the top of my mom's car, dripped down the side, splattered onto my car and back onto my dad's," Lindsay Sullivan said.
"It smelt really bad," George Sullivan said. "It smelled like it was feces."
For those of you that don't know, feces is a big word for poo. No one wants to see poo fall out of the sky, it's downright disgusting, but it's happening. There's no way the Sullivan family would make this 'shit' up. It would be 'asinine'.
Being hilarious Canadians they did make a good joke:
"There's no way one bird could have done it, unless it was a pterodactyl," he said. "It came from an airplane."
This isn't a picture of the poo, but it could be if you stretch your mind. There is something weird about it though -- Transport Canada said analysis of samples from the first incident indicated "the debris that fell on the Mississauga residence last week did not fall from an aircraft. Consequently, the investigation is now closed."
It's clear Transportation Canada has some weird shit to hide, or the Sullivans are, in fact lying. Why would they lie about such a thing?
If you are the Sullivan Family, please reach out. I have questions.
Super Rare Bird Flies into Wind Turbine, dies.
Above is a White-Throated Needletail, a very rare bird that hasn't been seen in the UK in 22 years. These birds are fast as fuck. According to Wikipedia:
It is the fastest-flying bird in flapping flight, with a confirmed maximum of 111.6 km/h (69.3 mph)
I don't know much about birds, but that's mad. There have only been 8 confirmed sightings of the bird, which is a bit weird, considering we have hard facts concerning their speed, but recently one was spotted in Scotland.
Here is a boring video of the bird in flight:
There have been only eight recorded sightings of the white-throated needletail in the UK since 1846. So when one popped up again on British shores this week, twitchers were understandably excited.
A group of 40 enthusiasts dashed to the Hebrides to catch a glimpse of the brown, black and blue bird, which breeds in Asia and winters in Australasia.
These bird enthusiasts were probably amazed to see the rare bird in flight, but that didn't last long - as the bird flew right into a wind turbine and died. It effectively committed suicide in front of its biggest fans.
The Daily Mail has the details from an old guy:
John Marchant, 62, who had made the trip all the way from Norfolk, said: ‘We were absolutely over the moon to see the bird. We watched it for nearly two hours.
‘But while we were watching it suddenly got a bit close to the turbine and then the blades hit it.
‘We all rushed up to the turbine, which took about five minutes, hoping the bird had just been knocked out the sky but was okay.
‘Unfortunately it had taken a blow to the head and was stone dead.
‘It was really beautiful when it was flying around, graceful and with such speed. To suddenly see it fly into a turbine and fall out the sky was terrible.’
Very unfortunate indeed. I'm sure the bird had a long life ahead of it and got a bit of stage fright knowing it would be a huge YouTube sensation.
So long good fellow. Your life was cut in half by a wind turbine.

I can only imagine this would be good for mice attacks or a small Playmobil war. Goodluck with this project.
Mykki the chimpanze: The best chimp photographer
There are many cool chimps out there, but I think Mykki may be my most favorite. Mykki is an accomplished photographer, probably not by choice, but that doesn't matter much. He's really good. He's so good, he's pulling in tons of money at auctions. Below, you can see two humans giving Mykki different cameras, what Mykki creates with these tools are masterpieces.
As you can see, from this screenshot below from Sotheby's, Mykki's shots are going to pull in 50-70k GBP. How Mykki will spend it, I don't know. Perhaps he'll buy a human as a pet.
Here are Mykki's amazing shots. His taste is impecable. I'd love to chat about his inspiration.
Well done Mykki.

Titanic II: Launching in 2016, said to be 'safest ship in the world'.
Well this is just great, a very rich Australian man named Clive Palmer, is building an exact replica of the Titanic, a ship famous for sinking. This ship will launch in 2016, and is creatively called Titanic II.
As you can see, it's going to be a bit bigger, and apparently, a lot safer. If you remember, the first Titanic sank in the ocean upon its maiden voyage.
Titanic II will have a lot of lifeboats, just incase it sinks. The safety of the new boat is a huge concern, since the first Titanic sank in the icy cold waters of the North Atlantic.
Clive Parker has a lot to say about how much safer it will be, also telling us there will be an additional deck, although he says it in a much funnier way.
I sure can't wait for the success of the Titanic II.
World's fastest jump roper lives in China
It's kind of weird to watch. I'm not even sure if she has a rope.
Watch what she can do in 30 seconds.
An old Air Force One is up for sale. Whose got $50k?
This old McDonnell Douglas DC9 is for up for auction. What makes it special is that it is a former Air Force One DC9.
The opening bid is $50,000, but the reserve has yet to be met.
The winning bidder will get a 38-year-old aircraft with a 10-seat VIP cabin, a galley decorated in blue and a main cabin outfitted with 32 first-class seats.
It seems pretty cool to have one of these at your service. It's old, but I imagine it still flies. I don't know about you guys, but I think we should pool our money and buy it.
Detroit's RoboCop statue is almost done
You may remember a Kickstarter campaign to create a giant RoboCop statue for the city of Detroit. Well, the statue is almost done, and this is what it looks like.
It's massive and is about to be bronzed. Once bronzed, it will be unveiled to the the city. The campaign raised $67,436 out of their $50,000 goal, which is pretty awesome. I'm sure that extra $17,000 went a long way.
The Kickstarter page says:
There's really nothing to say. Just take a look at RoboCop in his 10-foot-tall pixel-atom-perfect glory. So far he's passed from you, the backers, to Fred Barton's expert custom sculpting, to Across The Board Creation's 3D scanning, digital enlarging, physical fabrication, and assembly in foam, wax, clay, and steel (pictured below), and now he's headed to Venus Bronze Works in Detroit for casting and manufacturing in bronze. We bow to all parties for going above and beyond.
For more information on RoboCop, check out the Kickstarter page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/imaginationstation/detroit-needs-a-statue-of-robocop/posts/479137
