i used to watch the original yugioh so much when i was 9-13, and i decided to rewatch it and it's so peak!! it's so good and bad at the same time i luv it...

my favorite part was animating/editing the characters into the show's backgrounds and coming up with a correlation to a part in the anime for every scene with the characters in the background! it only goes up to battle city since that's where i've rewatched up to so far

also imma make a post for context on the first battle city scene later, we all know weevil is cryin cuz he lost "his queen" but i think rex deserved at LEAST his rarest card back because espa roba literally cheated imma square up with mokuba for this blunder

Someday, I will have the focus and energy needed to write for at least one of the KPDH ship weeks. I have ideas drafted up for the prompts for PolySaja week but actual words are proving elusive. I even have a few paragraphs written for one fill. I just don't like the way it is shaping up.

Guess I'll just save these ideas/notes/opener(s) and work on them at my own pace instead of trying to play catch up this week. I've got too much going on this week at work, anyway. Regional vice president is visiting tomorrow so everyone is in a tizzy about that. Next week I have three, possibly four, eleven hour days with another two and a half hours of daily driving on top of that. I don't even know when I will eat or sleep for those days but... we'll see.

...also still dealing with persistent feelings of "blah" and "vaguely sad". All I've really done today since coming home from work is watch old episodes of The Price is Right from the 80s and stress over words not coming when I try to write. Sigh. It's definitely been a Monday.

Been struggling a bit lately with brain wolves, and today was kind of a shit show at work, so... retail therapy happened. And now I have all but the secret rare Derpy from the For the Fans blind boxes. Lucky, as the Walmart near work only had a dozen left, if that. Thanks to matching up the codes on the bottom of the containers with a list I avoided getting duplicates. Handy, considering these things are almost $13 each. I got the list from this Reddit post.

Derpy and Mira are the heaviest ones and the easiest to pick out (Derpy will be in the Soda Pop can, Mira in the Ramyeon cup). The other four are too close in weight for me personally to figure out without the list. Note that the codes do double up: Rumi and Jinu will have the same codes, Mira and Derpy have the same codes, and Zoey and Baby have the same codes. The only one with a unique set of codes will be the secret rare shimmery Derpy.

Now if only more blind boxes came with codes if they are over a certain price point...

I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.
