I haven't watched anything Transformers related since seeing Rise of the Beasts in theaters. Not for any particular reason aside from the size of my watchlists and the glacial pace at which I make my way through them.

So I have no idea why I had a dream last night about hanging out with a bunch of Decepticons. One of which was a bus for... some reason. And there was apparently somewhere that we had to go but like, no one was in any great hurry. We just needed to not get found out by the Autobots before we got there. There were no canon Decepticons in the group and everyone was pretty chill. Like, surfer dude levels of chill.

It was kinda cool but also confusing lol.

I don’t know, my favorite was always witch weather. That moment that in a gust of wind or in the rumbling sky or at the edge of a fog bank where suddenly, you feel different. A restlessness, a sense of longing for a place that does not exist. I don’t know if anyone else has felt the electric tense changing of that moment. It calls the magic to your skin. For a moment, you feel ancient and powerful and lonely, as if you forgot something important. Witch weather. For some reason, in that wild instant: you remember you are alive, and that means some part of you belongs to the everlasting.

For those who can’t see/hear:

The video opens a door to an outside industrial plant-like area. Snow is on the ground and there is otherwise some miscellaneous noise of factory work going on.

Then the person behind the camera lets off an “OooOOO AH AH” ie the typical monkey sound.

Suddenly the air is filled with the cries of the humans imitating this monkey sound. No one is seen this entire time. You just hear the cries of people imitating monkeys.

Not even halfway through 2026 and I have another Check Engine light to take care of. Second one of the year, but this will be the third time I have had to put my car in the shop to be worked on. Took it to O'Reilly's to have them test the error code and apparently it is a fairly common issue, and the car will be drivable until I can get it fixed. Problem is that the earliest I can get it in anywhere is June 10th. Sigh. Might as well get them to change the oil and do my inspection while they have it, I'm sure both will be due by then.

Honestly figured that this would happen. Something always breaks near Christmas and a couple of weeks before/after my big vacation for the year. Oh well. At least it didn't happen during vacation. Hopefully it will be another easy fix that won't cast an arm and a leg.

In non-car related matters, the itch to work on fic things has slowly been coming back. Nothing concrete still, just jumbled scene ideas. Perhaps I will try another writing challenge for June? Make it an every six month sort of thing. I do have a building backlog of scene ideas to be put to use, and several more ships to write for... hm. Will give it some thought if I can ever knock out these last few tags in my RP inboxes.
