I write these words with a broken heart. To those who read this and choose to ignore it, you can simply scroll past, but I am living through the most difficult moments of my life. My husband is slowly dying before my eyes. Due to a severe head and jaw injury, he has been unable to eat or drink for over a week, his weight has dropped to just 39 kilograms, and he is suffering from severe, life-threatening malnutrition.
The doctors confirmed he needs urgent surgery, but we can't afford the operation and treatment. I feel helpless watching him weaken day by day, while time is running out.💔
I'm not asking for the impossible; I'm simply asking for a chance to save his life. Please, if you can't donate, don't hesitate to share our story. It might reach someone who can give him a new lease on life.💔🙏
In the past few days, my father has suffered greatly. He has been in pain. We have been displaced to a new place. After we were displaced from the previous place, which was east of Gaza, almost on the yellow line, they asked us to evacuate again, and threatened that we would not return to our homes, even if they were destroyed.
Hey everyone, I hope you can support us, even with a small donation. We're only 386 euros away from our goal. We've now reached 14,614 euros. Help us and donate so we can be among the first to travel when the border opens. Donate now. Please donate
Guys, we're almost there! Only €15,000 left! Just €336 more to reach that number. Please share this post and donate. My friends, don't ignore me. All I can say is that life here is incredible. Please share and donate if you can.
(note: I will mark the rules in a reply, please follow them.)
Chapter One
You wake up. You have no memory of what has happened to you, but you have a gut feeling that something is wrong about where you are. Where are you?
Well, let's start there. You're strapped to a chair with a tight rope and are stuck inside of a dingy stone room. You cannot move your arms, but you can move your legs and head. You try to look back and catch a glimpse of an iron-barred window in your periphery. You see a large box on the ground in front of you. You see a metal door to your right with light shining from under it as well as through its keyhole.
First thing I try to do is lean in and bite away at the tight rope presumably tied around my arms since I can't move them. This is in an attempt to free myself from the chair to better explore the room.
Your neck cannot bend that far, but enough struggling makes you fall onto the ground. You manage to wiggle out of the rope by shimmying up through it on the floor, and are freed.
You decide to scream at full force into the wall behind you, the one with the window. A voice calls back, "HEY! KNOCK IT OFF IN THERE! I GAVE YOU ALL THE HELP I COULD, NOW SHUT UP!!"
You are deeply perplexed by this. Was this person the one that gave you the box? Or maybe they were the one that trapped you here in the first place?
You stick the stick in the keyhole, turn it, and the door opens! Unfortunately, the stick got stuck, and you broke it in half.
You walk through the door to find a home-like area. It is home-like, but not homely!
There is a large floral-patterned rug on the floor, a sink, a fridge, and a bookshelf. There are glass windows on either side of the room, as well as a door with four locks.
You admire the rug for an extended period of time. Man, that's a niiice rug… oh? There's a little lump under it. You try to straighten out the rug but the lump doesn't shift. Odd.
Anyways, you walk to the door and see the four locks do not match the shapes of the suited keys. They are simply four gray circle shapes, arranged vertically, with keyholes. Looking at the keys, the grooves on each are almost exactly alike. It seems you'll need to find the order that these keys go in!
You lift the rug up and find a rock where the lump was. Under the rock, you found a card! It's the 3 of Hearts. You can't think of any good use for the rock, so you just put it in a corner and take the card. Now the rug can be admired to its full extent. :)
The inventory will now be placed at the bottom of the post.
Come to think of it, you ARE pretty darn hungry. You mosey over to the fridge and open the lower compartment. You find… naught but a pickle jar. There's only one pickle inside. Eh, you'll take what you can get!
You take a bite of the pickle and—OW! feel something hard inside of it. You eat around it to find a fifth key, in the shape of a star! You take it and the jar of brine.
INVENTORY: Spade Key, Heart Key, Club Key, Diamond Key, Water-Flavored Soda, Half Stick, 3♥️ Card, Star Key
You experience a sudden bout of choice paralysis and decide to inspect the bookshelf. All of the books are unsorted, so it may be hard to find one that you'd want. You take a look at one part of the shelf:
Iris Chronicles: Book 3, Iris Chronicles: Book 5, Colonel Kernel's Book of Terrible Riddles, The Floating House, The CLUB: Book 1, How To Make a Secret Bookshelf Entrance, Iris Chronicles: Book 8
You don't even remember what kind of books you liked. None of these really jump out at you…
INVENTORY: Spade Key, Heart Key, Club Key, Diamond Key, Water-Flavored Soda, Half Stick, 3♥️ Card, Star Key, Jar of Brine
You try to grab How To Make a Secret Bookshelf Entrance, but the book stays put. You pull and pull, then try to push it, and the bookshelf swings open! You assume that the book is showing you an example.
You walk through the shelfdoor to find a bathroom-ish area. There's a large lit-up mirror and sink with a jewelery box on its counter, a toilet with a plunger next to it, and an empty bathtub. You see no windows.
INVENTORY: Spade Key, Heart Key, Club Key, Diamond Key, Water-Flavored Soda, Half Stick, 3♥️ Card, Star Key, Jar of Brine, The CLUB: Book 1
You look at your reflection in the mirror. …what ARE you? You examine what you believe to be your face, but it appears to be made of a dull metal. In fact, your whole face looks like a large square! Your circular eyes are glowing a deep navy blue, as with your rectangular mouth. No, there's no mistaking it. YOU ARE A ROBOT! …you suppose you never paid attention to your metal hands. But this explains why you didn't remember where you came from. You didn't come from anywhere!
Welp, after having a ten-minute identity crisis, you decide to doll up your apprently metal body with some jewelery.
You open the box and automatically put on the pearl necklace, the pair of ruby and sapphire rings, and the diamond earrings. They fit well hooked around your odd ear antennae.
INVENTORY: Spade Key, Heart Key, Club Key, Diamond Key, Water Soda, Half Stick, 3♥️ Card, Star Key, Brine Jar, The CLUB: Book 1, Pearl Necklace, Ruby Ring, Sapphire Ring, 2X Diamond Earring
Thank you! I may look around the bathroom some more? Check if there's anything in the tank of the toilet (if it has one) or if something was left in the drains
You check around the rest of the facilities. First, the bathtub. Apparently, it wasn't actually empty, the curtain was obscuring the steel bucket inside of it! You take the bucket.
As for the terlet, you remove the tank lid and find… a plastic bottle floating inside, full of the tank's water. Gross. You're not taking this unless absolutely necessary. You open the main lid and find nothing clogging it, but decide to take the plunger anyway.
Aside from that, looks like there's nothing else in here. You take one last glance back at the mirror and see that your eyes and mouth are glowing a dark, minty green. Odd. You think further about this while pulling the secret entrance shut.
i figure since i am a robot the glow must be natural, perhaps i have christmas lights inside or perhaps i am powered by fireflies... i find that i do not know what christmas or fireflies are! it must not matter, but my mind wanders, and so do i, with my newfound discovery of being an alleged robot i am perplexed and thrown off by the circumstances i find myself in, but oh one beautiful robot i am, the jingling of my accessories that probably do not belong to me brings me a certain comfort, in a seemingly metaphoric punishment of my vanity, kleptomania and obliviousness, i trip on the rug whose beauty i had admired earlier, and for a short lived moment i thought i had surpassed, the jewelry and inventory items scatter on the floor around me.
You think about things and then trip on your face melodramatically. Ow! Wait, were you designed to feel PAIN?? What kind of jerk would program you to hurt?
Oh, and god damn it. The jar of brine shattered when you stumbled! Now the rug is soaked in a sickly, pickly odor. You instinctively pick up your dampened items, and notice your reflection in the glass shards of the jar. You see a deeper green this time.
INVENTORY: Spade Key, Heart Key, Club Key, Diamond Key, Water Soda, Half Stick, 3♥️ Card, Star Key, Jar Lid, The CLUB: Book 1, Pearl Necklace, Ruby Ring, Sapphire Ring, 2X Diamond Earring

Peace be upon you. I'm Amer from the devastated Gaza Strip. We had a beautiful house, but it's now completely destroyed—a five-story building—because of the war. Our lives are difficult now. I live in a tent with my family. I have a brother named Mahmoud, whom I care for. He is sick and disabled and needs medication every week. I can't afford it now. Please help me so I can provide food for my children and medicine for my brother Mahmoud. I appeal to you, generous people, to stand with me and my brother Mahmoud. Donate through the donation link, and I will pray for you. Life in Gaza is extremely difficult, and there are no job opportunities. Life in Gaza is completely destroyed. From the heart of Gaza: the story of the steadfastness of a family.
I am Amer, a Palestinian man from Gaza. I live with my wife and four children in indescribable conditions. Despite all this suffering, hope remains in our hearts.
My wife, my children, and I live in a single small tent. We lack the most basic necessities, and our daily lives are full of challenges: power outages, water shortages, and difficulty in securing food and medicine.
The situation in Gaza is tragic, and we face relentless conflict every single day. But I believe that strength lies in unity, and that support, however small, can transform our family's life. I launched this campaign as a plea for hope and an appeal for help to overcome this hardship. All we ask is for the opportunity to live with dignity for my children and my family.

If you hear our story, please share it and offer your support, whether through prayer, a kind word, or any other means. Together, we can make Gaza a better place.
I will never shy away from the word goon. goon is the only way to describe a particular type of henchman, lackey, or thug. look at these guys. they're goons.
A comic about book bans, ppl's continued dismissiveness of asexuality, and ppl's lack of understanding around what it means to be queer, and why they should be worried about book bannings.
I'll add smth here cos I learned after posting this on IG that people still aren't entirely understanding how scary and dangerous this is. Ppl kept saying to me 'I can still buy your book in shops though' or 'Its okay, I'll order your book into my library!'
I dont give af about my book lol No one outside of Ace ppl ever read it, its yearly sales don't even cover a month of expenses for me.
The thing you should all be concerned about is that a totally benign unheard of book about someone's every day life is being banned. And those laws listed above are passing through US government right now. One of those laws would make it so that any teacher/librarian in the US could lose their job/go to prison for simply sharing 'ideology'- and I don't mean only lgbtq folk, these laws are attacking black history, civil rights history, disability rep in books. Just talking about these things will now legally be considered a 'dangerous ideology'.
And once that's set into law, the US government has backing via law to go ahead and say 'if these books aren't legally allowed in schools, then they shouldn't be allowed in shops, either.' And from there it sets up a great argument for 'The dangerous content in these books is lawfully being removed from public, shouldn't we be lawfully removing the people living out/promoting this ideology too?'
I can see why ppl don't fully understand how dangerous book bannings are, if they're not familiar with the history of fascism. If you're interested, there are plenty of graphic novels that share this history via first hand accounts- Maus, Persepolis, Banned Book Club.
But guess what? You're on limited time to get these via libraries...cos all three of these books are on banned lists too, and they got nothing to do with lgbtq rep, and everything to do with warning ppl about fascism.
And the US government knows it can get away with this, because they are passing these laws as we speak and barely anyone is doing anything about it or talking about it. I've been trying to talk about it for years and no one does anything except say to me 'don't worry, I'll buy your book!' or say its a badge of honour that I have a banned book.
So I'll emphasise once more. If you live in the USA, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR REP ABOUT THESE LAWS!
This pain will end one day, and I believe in that. We are going through great hardships, but hope has always been in my heart. The freedom for Palestine is now closer than ever🥹🇵🇸
I am Kareman, a Palestinian mother from Gaza, and we are still alive after 475 days of war that began on October 7, 2023, and ended today. However, despite being alive, pain and sorrow have not left us. Everything around us has turned to rubble. I once said, "This pain will end one day, and I believe in that," but I never imagined that the pain would follow us in this way.
We returned to our home, only to find that the pain has deepened. Our home, which once embraced us, is now destroyed. The fishing boat, which was our only source of livelihood, was consumed by fire, taking away all hope. The fishing nets and equipment, which were our means of survival, have been burned. My husband, who supported us with his work, now has nothing but memories😭💔
As for me, I was a children's teacher, teaching them to love life despite the difficulties, but my school, which was once a place of hope, is now nothing but ash. We have lost everything, but we still hold on to hope thanks to Hamoud, who gives us the strength to keep going.
Today, we need you more than ever. We ask for your help in repairing my husband's fishing boat, as we have no other source of income. If we don't get the support to repair it, we will remain trapped in a cycle of poverty and need. But if we stand together, we can rise again.
Please, don't leave our families in this dark path. Every donation, no matter how small, represents a chance for us to live again.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your continued support, and I trust that hope will return thanks to your help.

What’s happening in Gaza is not just bombing — it’s silent extermination; the occupation knows exactly what it's doing, people are being killed slowly in a sealed cage, with no food, no medicine, no way out; starvation continues, and the few food alternatives are expired or contaminated, there are no vegetables, no fruits, no meat, patients are dying, and even the healthy are falling sick — heart disease, kidney failure, stomach and colon cancer, chronic fatigue, anemia, and more; we are being watched like lab rats, the goal is to break us or push us to flee, this is a legal crime using hunger as a weapon, a political crime when our slow death is blamed on conflict, and a moral crime when the world watches and says nothing; please help us, don’t let us die slowly — even a small donation could save a life, the link is in my bio.
