im sure someone already made a post about it but i came across a ublock origin add-on that blacklists around 950 AI websites and disables AI overview ☝️ so u can be free from seeing AI in your search
Your irregular reminder that you should have ublock origin installed for a significantly better internet experience. advertisers have tried to make it as shitty as possible; fight back! Give yourself an online experience worth enjoying!

The fastest way to accomplish The Project is to cease being afraid of The Project. The Project cannot maim you. The Project cannot kill you. The Project is more afraid of you than you are of it. It is okay if The Project turns out differently from how it was in your head, and it is okay if it has flaws. You are capable of engaging with The Project.

I am shocked at how many people don't have an actively hostile relationship with advertising
I am skipping your ads as fast as I can. I'm skipping past your sponsor read. I'm muting the tv. I'm muting the tab. If they get too annoying I will simply stop trying to watch.
If advertisers can use every manipulative trick in the book to get me to buy their product, I am fully within my rights to do everything I can on my end to make their job impossible

going crazy over this r/amitheasshole reddit post where people are shocked and concerned that a child that has been a huge fan of harry potter for at least 4 years of her young life, receiving her Hogwarts acceptance letter on her non-Harry Potter themed 11th birthday, made her believe for a moment that it's real. like are people really that detached from a child's level of hope and whimsy? they all think she's mentally disabled for "not knowing the difference between fiction and reality" and its KILLING me that they're misunderstanding her on such a level! the wizarding world is secret specifically so that us "muggles" can pretend it might be real. it's called suspension of belief! the books are intentionally written for every child to have a glimmer of hope on their 11th birthday! they don't believe Harry Potter is real. against all odds, they hope it is and, on some level, look for confirmation. mostly for fun, but partially because in the unlikely case it IS real, one simply CANNOT miss out. honestly this "fake letter as a gift" thing strikes me as a little risky and a little mean, especially the more book-accurate it is. and a little bit of a nothing-gift for a child. "ooo yay a fake piece of paper. is this supposed to be a trick??" kinda weird that its a trend tbh.
