hello everyone! its finally time for the great council event run by @kyusims4offical <3 for your first little treat i give you a dragon circlet! i bought the 3d model in the middle and converted it, but the rest of it was made by me!

it comes in targ colors, velaryon colors, and a red + white combo! the dragons can be a little hard to see in cas, but in game you can tell they are there. hopefully this little circlet will be able to fit into a wide variety of asoiaf and legacy gameplay!

stay tuned, there will be two cc drops for the event next week as well!

hiya! i just found you on tiktok and wanted to say i am OBSESSED with how high quality your sims series are!! do you have a tutorial or just a discussion on how you make them look so good? i’m not sure i could ever replicate it myself but ive never seen a series like yours and im so interested in how you make it!

I actually answered another WCIF recently about what I use to make my game look the way it does, so I'll link that here

As for emotions and expressions, a lot of it comes down to the animations I use. I'm very picky about them because I want my characters to feel real and expressive. I use a lot of animations from Rascgal, and recently I've also started using animations from my dear friend iNasSims. iNas does an amazing job with facial expressions and emotions, which helps make conversations feel much more natural. When I'm recording dialogue scenes, I also pay attention to the pacing. During editing, I usually leave a few seconds before and after a character speaks instead of cutting immediately. It gives the scene room to breathe and makes it feel more natural. For camera angles and framing, I follow a lot of principles I learned in college, but also from watching films and studying cinematic composition. Cinematic composition is the deliberate arrangement of visual elements within a frame to tell a story, evoke emotion, and guide the viewer's eye. It's not just about making a shot look pretty it's about supporting the narrative through framing, camera angles, and character placement.

The Art of Cinematic Composition

I could honestly talk about camera angles all day, but I don't want to bore you. 😭 One thing that helps a lot is simply watching movies and paying attention to how scenes are framed. The more visual storytelling you consume, the easier it becomes to understand how you want to tell your own stories. Before I start recording, I always write down a plan: what the characters are going to say, what they're doing, and what emotions the scene should convey. From there, I decide how to film it. For example, if I'm recording a dramatic conversation, I think about what I want the viewer to feel. If a character is meant to appear intimidating, dominant, or powerful, I might use a lower camera angle. I try to make the viewer feel like they're standing in the scene with the character. It's similar to character design. Villains often have sharper features, stronger contrasts, and more aggressive color palettes, while trustworthy or comforting characters tend to have softer features and calmer colors. There's a lot of visual theory behind these choices, and I try to apply those same ideas when filming my scenes. I hope this gives you an idea of my process! I'm not always the best at explaining it, but a lot of what I do comes from studying visual storytelling, film composition, and paying attention to how emotions are communicated through the camera.
