I miss you!

Lord, do I miss you more... To think this was sent back in November of 2013, and instead of commenting back, I just messaged you immediately. I didn't realize how important it would be to have kept this all this time... I wish I had known you'd be gone by November of 2022... This hurts more than you know. I loved you so much and I wish that alone had been enough. I hope you're at peace. I love you.

Honestly the queue and schedule post options on Tumblr are extremely underrated. No other major social networking site has the ability to do that with the same ease as Tumblr does, and we've had them for like a decade now. They're fantastic features and Tumblr doesn't get enough credit for having them.

I'm actually willing to assert that Tumblr actually has some of the best site functionality:

- queue/schedule system

- tagging that doesn't interfere with the actual content of posts

- the ask/inbox system

- ability to make likes/following lists private

- ability to reblog posts multiple times

- the "Keep Reading" feature

- ability to easily post different media. AFAIK Tumblr is the only social media site that lets you post audio without it being a video.

- dash is always in reverse chronological order

the ability to almost entirely customize your home page is pretty neat, too

I could go on about this forever but I firmly believe that Tumblr is a remnant from a time before companies figured out how to efficiently monetize social media, and as such it's designed with users instead of advertisers in mind.

That's both why it has continued to have active avid users in spite of a lot of technical /policy issues, and why it hasn't been massively profitable.

I treasure this garbage site.

Wow. I literally just had to take a deep breath and reread your message to be sure I read it correctly. Thank you. I don’t have the words to thank you for that. I hope you’re right. I do. I spent too many years hating my life and sister (I admit that, shamefully, but I admit that) and I just sort of woke up one day and came to grips with the fact that I may be “alone” forever, but… I do still hope there will be someone who loves me enough to marry me and learns to love Gabrielle as much. &thank you. While I certainly don’t think I’m “hot”, (semi-attractive maybe, haha!) I do appreciate that♥

To My “Yuri”, I don’t know where you are now (or even then), but I think about you. More often than you probably realize. I miss you and our conversations. I miss your sanity amongst a group of insane followers (admittedly, not all were). I miss how genuine you were. I don’t think we’ll ever cross paths again and for a while that made me really sad. But maybe we served our purpose in each other’s lives and we aren’t “needed” anymore. Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re well. Truly.
