(The Bees are cuddling in bed one night in their apartment in Menagerie)
YANG: Hey, did I ever tell you about my good friend Petey Periwinkle?
BLAKE: ...no?
YANG: He was a childhood friend of me and Ruby. His farm was up the road from our house on Patch and he and Ruby were besties to the point where we'd joke they would get married someday.
BLAKE: I'm sure Weiss would be thrilled to hear that.
YANG: But Petey was a fantastic fighter, just one of the best. Next to my Dad and Uncle Qrow, he was one of the few people who could hold their own against me while sparring. He would have made an amazing Huntsman.
BLAKE: So what happened?
YANG: That's the thing, he just got up and left one day. Packed his bags and disappeared and we didn't see him for years.
BLAKE: But you did see him again eventually?
YANG: When I got accepted into Beacon, Dad celebrated by taking me and Rubes to Ocean Planet to see all the cute animals. I was at the dolphin tank when, sure enough, I saw Petey. He was working on a special project to use medical marijuana to help injured dolphins deal with their pain.
BLAKE: WOW! What did you say to him?
YANG: I kinda chewed him out! I said, "Petey! What the heck?! You could have been one of the greatest Huntsmen ever and you're here working with dolphins!' and you know what he said, babe?
BLAKE: What?
YANG: He said 'I would love to be a Huntsman, but can't you see I'm working with a higher porpoise!'
BLAKE: (agressively assaults Yang with her pillow)
