always impressed by the ability of small British rail stations to be apparently in the middle of fucking nowhere from the viewpoint of passers-through. it's either a blasted wasteland of corrugated warehouses or like. Fields.
that’s just my nightstand knife don’t worry
imagine living somewhere flat….with like……almost no hills…..what do you guys do for fun get picked off by birds of prey or
A prison officer looked at me, looked at the men's prison I had been sent to, and eventually recognised the obvious mistake. The NSW Governm
My move to a women’s gaol happened nearly a decade ago. But just this year, the NSW Government has quietly changed the prison regulations. That may force more trans women to suffer humiliations like mine in a male prison, and much, much worse. The new regulation gives prison authorities broad powers to decide whether a prisoner is treated as a “male inmate” or a “female inmate” while in custody. In making that decision, they bear no responsibility to align the label they give you with your anatomy, your lived social reality, or your legal sex. What matters now are the ‘risks to the safety of the inmate or others’, the effect on the security and good order of the prisons, and any other factor the decision-maker considers relevant. Crucially though, without having to worry about breaching the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW), prison authorities can now place trans and gender-diverse people in prisons corresponding with the sex assigned to them at birth.
Labor approved transphobia. 👍But sure, trust the soulless centrists who only show up for Mardi Gras photo ops.
All trans and gender diverse people deserve safety, dignity and equality. But the treatment of trans and gender diverse people in prisons i
Here’s the link to write to the NSW government about this. They have an automatic script to send but if you have the time please consider personalising it as that makes a big difference.
do you think she dreamt?
i also have feelings about how, in their final scene, Shrue rejects the violence done to them through Carson's manipulation of the institution of family but almost in the same breath attempts to use family as a bargaining chip against Fade
i have said it before and ill say it again. Conrad Aiken wrote this about Shrue

have been thinking about driving as a symbol of personal autonomy and agency and taking control, and it’s really interesting to me how in the first season of the silt verses faulkner is literally doing all of the driving whenever he’s w carpenter or carpenter&paige (well, other than that one time when he’s unconscious cause a giant crab fucked him up real good). which kinda goes nicely together w the whole thing of him starting to carve out his story. the boy is fucking desperate to be behind the wheel of his (and honestly others’) life!!
and then in season 3, he’s often in cars (the drive from the Katabasians’ Council to the Gulch, from the radio station to the ruins of Gulch and from there to his dad’s cabin, and once again from his family home to the Grand Aquifer) but all of these times he’s being driven around. not onceeee is he himself behind the wheel. and that, on one hand, is obviously due to the position of power/authority and thus comfort that he’s now occupying—now he has people to perform these kinds of services for him. butttttt i also think that it shows that the reins aren’t fully in his hands and in actuality he’s really not as in control as he’d like to think he is.
good job, buddy, you’ve made the narrative of your story into a self-perpetuating machine, now it can run along all on its own!:D you’re now stuck in the passenger seat of your life<3
vampires do have to be one of the best things that humans ever collectively came up with. great job with that one, everybody.
plus they will never hurt you
of course, the best part of any character's corruption arc is their cool new outfit
reblog this and tell me your favorite album written and performed by a woman?
you should get a second evening for reading fan fiction. And you should get an extra day in the week to do arts and crafts.
