Fake Piercing Tutorial

I took a break from finishing up Porrim’s coat tonight to screw around with her eyebrow rings, and I finally found a method I like for faking her piercings so I thought I’d share with you guys!

This is basically the result of me screwing around so I make no pretense of actually knowing what I’m doing.  (Also I realize that eyebrow rings don’t actually look like this unless they also happen to be buried in your skull enough to be piercing the bone of your supraorbital ridge, but I tried to strike a balance between looking like the sprite and having them look like real piercings.)

... So we decided to go to Evillecon this year as a group. I’ve never been and am really excited to go (so long as my manager isn’t a dick). I’ve already chosen what I’m going to bring, so no surprises at least!

Free Crochet Pattern: Spring Flowers Scarf

Okay, I’ve never lived anywhere you could really say it felt like spring in March. Minnesota? Dumps a ton of snow. Wyoming? Also dumps a ton of snow. New Mexico? It’s been between 60 and 80 all month!! Only 2 cloudy days, even! This is good livin’ I’m tellin’ ya.

Now, I started working on this scarf before I left Wyoming, so it was merely a wish for the future, but now I truly feel it’s the season of this spring flowers scarf!

This was actually a pinterest-inspired scarf. Here’s the original:

It’s been repinned many times, and you can even find 2 others, probably made by the same person:

I can’t find the original source after quite a bit of searching, so if anyone knows, let me know so I can give credit to the maker of these gorgeous scarves!

I decided I didn’t want to straight up copy the scarf, which wouldn’t be too difficult, but to instead try to embody the happy spring flowers feel and make something different! The original is probably a fingering weight yarn, and uses yarn strands, rather than chains, to attach the flowers. It’s very delicate, whereas mine is a bit chunky.

Omg!con 2018

So... we kind of already have cosplays planned for next years omgcon... well at least a couple tentative cosplays. I know for a fact we will have an overwatch group since it is the theme for next year!! (Woot woot!!) We will also have a Lolita kimono overwatch group (looking forward to making all of them!) And perhaps a Miyazaki character group as well! And i by myself am planning a couple that I may take with me just in case! As for myself... I will be (definitely) Mei from overwatch (original skin) Lolita kimono Mei Sophie from Howl's moving Castle And maybes include Mei from overwatch (New Years skin) Rose quartz from Steven universe And Chica from Five Nights at Freddy's (since it seemed to be my most popular when I took it... and most people kept asking if I was the chica from the year before... lol)
