when two musicians sing into the same microphone and lean in very close to each other... like omg are you guys gonna kiss now to relieve the homoerotic tension?😳
THIS IS NOT ABOUT ONE DIRECTION I DON'T KNOW WHO THIS "HARRY" PERSON IS GO WATCH BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND CLARENCE CLEMONS KISS ON STAGE RIGHT NOW
op is the only valid person i’ve ever met. everyone else needs to come to the light
Okay, but this is really important: Bruce Springsteen occupied this really weird place in music history. His songs were all from this pessimistic, nihilistic view of an America that had let him down:
Just like the anti-Vietnam War protest songs that we associate with the 1960s, or the early nihilism that spawned punk music in the 1970s. But he didn't *sound* like a punk anarchist; he sounded like a country rock singer. When he released Born in the U.S.A. people completely misinterpreted (or possibly ignored) the lyrics in favor of the tone of the music.
Politicians used his music to promote their 'Murica Yes! brand, and he had to literally explain that that was not what he was about. He's over here asking when we're going to have jobs and heathcare, not stanning the politicians who weren't helping the people.
It was also kind of a big deal that he had an integrated band, because even as late as the 1980s music was still kind of segregated and MTV was straight up racist. They refused to play and promote black artists and then claimed that were no black artists in the first place. Michael Jackson's record company had to threaten a boycott of their white artists to get MTV to play his Thriller video.
Plus, the first black/white interracial kiss on TV was in 1968 (OG Star Trek). Also it took us until the 70s to get sympathetic gay characters on screen, and the 90s to get gay characters to kiss onscreen. And all of those firsts were met with outrage.
So keep that in mind when you see Bruce Springsteen not just playing with an interracial band, but engaging in an interracial, gay kiss on stage repeatedly.

this is about Undertale's genocide run btw
"Lancer's personality is so fun. He always insults Ralsei, but like, he doesn't know what an insult is. So he only says nice things. Because he really likes him." (с) Toby fox
Thinking about this Toby's phrase from the last anniversary stream a lot....
if i was an actor i would say i played my characters as gay regardless of the role. it'd probably be a bit "problematic" of me but i think it would be really funny if i was playing a monster that has no speaking lines or a real life historical figure and i just gay coded them for no reason except my own personal entertainment.
oh your pronouns are he/they?
well that’s mathematically incorrect becuase you can still simplify the fraction since both sides have “he”
making your pronouns technically 1/ty
>:)
Millie Bobby browns parents are evil
Idk it makes me kinda depressed I understand the impulse to laugh and I did too at that tweet calling her a middle aged senator from Arizona or something but stepping back to think abt it no 18 year old should feel compelled to do that to their appearance let alone have the means (money and enabling parents and who knows what older men in the industry are putting in her head) to do so. So bleak
i love when people are like, society won’t survive these declining birth rates. if society can be destroyed by female liberation from sexual slavery and forced birth, then it should and must be destroyed by that. also there are 8 billion people on the earth, there used to be like ten people. we had a generic bottleneck at one point where there were about 3,000 people on the entire planet. you’ll survive a couple million women being spared from forced motherhood. maybe we will have to actually invest in elder care as a society instead of just throwing the elderly into what is basically a minimum security prison
I have no perception of time. I will be like "I have class in 2 hours... Do I have time to shower 🤔🤔"
I like not having fandom sideblogs. read my posts boy
Marceline from Adventure Time is like the ultimate OC. She is a half vampire half human with Mommy and daddy issues but she has daddy issues twice cuz she had two dads.
Actually, Marceline is Half Human and Half Demon and lived through the apocalypse when she was 4 and was turned into a Vampire when she killed the vampire king
That's literally worse. This is what I was talking about lmao
also shes a famous rock star
And married to a princess
This came up on my Pinterest feed the other day and I was like 'oh is this a diy craft thing?' and then it wasn't.
he didn't need to spend so long on the sponge, which is why I think that's a part he was very proud of.
A lot of these techniques he's done before, but the sponge-drill is new. He tried to think of how to come up with those distinctive streaks of color, and he had the brilliant idea to use a sponge-drill perfectly shaped to his mold.
I'm very proud of him
“Nobody is bullied for being a nerd anymore” is something that only someone who wasn’t the autistic kid in school could say
Like yeah, being into superheroes and Star Wars and video games is mainstream, sure.
But being a “nerd” in my youth also carried a lot more connotations than just being a Media Consumer™, it was more importantly the label that you got for being the weird kid. Nobody thought you were a nerd for liking Spider-Man, that was mainstream even in 2001. What actually mattered was whether you were weird about it.
