Hi everyone!
You can find book/series/movie reviews here, with bits about university life (at least how I experience it) with tons of reblogs.
Enjoy ☺️

we gotta get back into revolving bookcases i'm begging
truly we allow the pinnacles of human achievement to wither and collapse into ashes in the wind
My mind is an organised chaos, and there is music coming from somewhere
Agustina Bazterrica: Tender is the Flesh (review)
(English is not my first language, I read the book in Hungarian)
Spoiler alert
What would happen if animal meat were unsafe to eat? How would people solve this problem? Well, not with artificial meat or vegan options. After all, we are all meat and can be eaten.
“but he did [this horrific thing]” i am neither has keeper nor happy with every single decision he makes. Also he is not real
like yeah let me sit the guy down and have a heart to heart. make this fictional man see sense. i definitely have the time to do this and it is also absolutely physically possible
Song Yu-jeong: The Memory Bookshop (review)
(English is not my first language, I read the book in Hungarian)
Spoiler alert
A book about the importance of memory, spending time with your loved ones and grief from Korea.
The library is the only place where you can witness everyone leaving their laptops/tablets just to go get a snack
Middle-aged magical girl.
She's been defending the Earth since the early 90s and she's very tired.
My name is Tominaga Haruka. I was chosen by a magical talking animal, and for the last 29 years I've been Earth's one and only... Wonder-Sparkle Princess.
she's been fighting the same villains for three decades and they are also tired of it. Most of them aren't giving it their all. Half of them are in a groupchat they've added her to where they schedule their evil plans to make sure they don't interfere with each other, or more importantly, with *her* Xalkrax the space demon from outer space decided to attack the city when she was taking her vacation time once, and now he's dead, because even the power of friendship and redemption can't save you if you interrupt her rare vacations
Demon Queen Eluria: Gonna fill the city people's hearts with hatred on thursday to cause mayhem and discord.
Wonder-Sparkle Princess: Can't, got a PTA meeting.
Demon Queen Eluria: Friday?
Wonder-Sparkle Princess: A birthday party.
Demon Queen Eluria: Damn. How about I fill just the mayor's heart with hatred then?
Wonder-Sparkle Princess: That'd be redundant, lol. Maybe fill his heart with a desire to fix the fucking potholes?!
Demon Queen Eluria: LMFAO love you, bitch. Stay strong.
Wonder-Sparkle Princess: You too, gurl. How's the husband? Still dead?
Demon Queen Eluria: Yep. Thanks for that, btw.
Wonder-Sparkle Princess: Don't mess with my time off :p
Why are people tagging this '#wonder sparkle princess' like that's a thing and not a name I made up exclusively for this post?
Congratulations on inventing a new tumblr deity!!
She isn't 29 years old. She's been a magical girl for 29 years. If she started at 14 (typical magical girl protagonist age) then she'd be 43.
God I needed this.
I need a book/series/movie/fanfic with this concept
Jennifer Worth: Call the Midwife (review)
Possible spoilers (English is my second language, and I read the book in English) I stumbled upon this book because of some YouTube Shorts I've seen from its TV adaptation, and thought about giving it a try. Just as its adaptation, the book has some emotional parts, and in some cases, it is darker than the series.
Hiro Arikawa: The Travelling Cat Chronicles (review)
Possible spoilers (English is my second language, and I read the book in Hungarian)
I first read this book about two years ago and picked it up again to read for the next session of the book club I go to. Even though I was familiar with the plot, it still managed to make me cry during the last 30-40 pages.
That horrible feeling when you need to do a presentation on a paper you did for an conference and you don't even know where to begin. Like, do I just do slides for each section of the paper or should I cut out parts?
Best part: I told my supervisor/advisor that I know what I'm doing (clearly I don't, send help)
