Perhaps my perspective is the unusal one, but for the life of me, there is a lot of handwringing around the Seekers "falling apart" and "at each other's throats", and I can't tell you where that's coming from?

I watched a set of adults from fundamentally different views and value systems have a tense conversation in which voices were barely raised and no violence was had. At the end of this conversation, they not only decided to keep traveling together but determined that, to a point, they're all loyal to the group and will continue to pursue the current goal.

Yes, it was tense, and not all of them care all that much for each other, but sometimes that is the way of things, and I believe that conversation, rather than being a sign of further animosity, helped shore up some weak points and will help them continue on as a group. They're more on the same page now than previously.

If characters disagreeing with each other in ways that dont have easy answers and tense conversations is "at each other's throats" for you, like...they aren't trying to kill each other in the night and there is a genuine sense that they will prioritize each other's survival rather than any grievances. Maybe I just have different expectations of what "at each others throats" actually would entail.

I wanted to post this on my birthday (January 24th), but after another russian genocidal attack on our energy sector - aimed at freezing Ukrainian civilians in cold darkness - I instead spent my birthday, and the day after, without any electricity or heating. Nighttime temperatures drop far below zero here, this winter is also abnormally cold, even for Ukraine. My electricity has since been partially restored, but there is still no heating in my building. This is also why I barely managed to share just two messy portraits over the entire month of January, despite having plenty of elaborate WIPs nearly complete. There simply hasn’t been an opportunity to finish them. I just want someone to read this and know what is happening here, because this humanitarian disaster somehow isn’t considered relevant enough to reach most news outlets outside my country.

I have one of these and I keep it in my IT toolkit because that teeny little screwdriver is the right side for laptop casings, but because it lives inside a large object it’s harder to misplace than a standard tiny screwdriver. As always for Lancer fans, Zodyl Typhon is an edgelord whose vital instrument(magic item) is a coat that allows him to draw power from anything he eats, essentially letting him evolve into anything he wants at a whim.

For Gachiakuta fans, the Horus, Balor is a swarm hive of nanodrones, allowing it to constantly heal from any and all damage, adapting to any and all situations as a huge fuck you to your gm for even thinking about sending enemies at you, and attack with a melee weapon that somehow has aim assist

Today I bring forth Bundus, the old man himselfI believe he’d pilot the IPS-Northstar Kidd,

for lancer fans, Bundus is an old man who’s vital instrument(magic item) is a series of prosthetic arms that he used throughout his life, all having different abilities and qualities representing the state of mind he possessed when he made those prosthetics.

For Gachiakuta fans, the Kidd is a mech that revolves around support drones, setting traps for your enemies, and setting up defenses for your teammates

I believe Cthoni would pilot the teleporting mech, Sunzi. For fans of lancer, Cthoni is a small individual whose ‘vital instrument’(magic item) is a manhole cover that allows her to create portals. For the Gachiakuta fans, Sunzi is a mech that allows you to say fuck you to your dm and move every enemy wherever the hell you want through teleportation.
