We’ll Never Have Sex
Request: Could u write something where Eddie just hugs the reader out of nowhere and they push him off and he’s confused but the reader explains they just don’t like physical contact rlly or anything like that?
Hi! The title is a little misleading, but the request reminded me of the song by Leith Ross, I think the lyrics match the vibe of this fic. I really like this request, as someone who isn’t comfortable with physical contact and has a hard time being physically affectionate. Pretty scared about how that’s gonna affect future relationships, but I’d like to think whoever I end up with has a similar response to what I wrote for Eddie. Hope you like it.
(Warnings: cursing, mentions of getting physical, let me know if i missed anything)
—
You weren’t having a good day. You woke up that morning, and everything from the second you woke up seemed to overstimulate you. People being too loud, or brushing your arm as they walked past you in the halls, it was too much today. You had been counting the seconds until you could go somewhere quiet and away from people for a little while, to have some time for yourself.
The second last period had ended, you raced over to Eddie’s trailer, knowing his uncle wouldn’t be home anytime soon, and that Eddie would take longer than you to come home. You had flopped yourself onto Eddie’s bed, relishing in the peace and quiet.
His sheets smelled like him.
You could never pin down exactly what the scent was, but regardless, it was comforting to you. Having a piece of him near you when you couldn’t handle him being that close to you was enough to keep you grounded when it got too chaotic like this.
You had almost drifted off to sleep, when Eddie swung the door open, lazily stomping in and dropping his bag on the floor. He stumbled back to his room, stopping in the doorway and tiredly smiling at your frame, wrapped up in his bed.
“Hi, baby.”
You mustered up a passable smile, taking a deep breath to steady yourself. “Hi, Eddie. Have a good day?”
“Fuck no,” He groaned, running a hand through his hair. “I’m exhausted. I was hoping you’d be here. My day’s getting better already.”
You felt the heat rise to your cheeks, hiding a grin. Eddie was really sweet when he wanted to be, and he knew exactly what to say. You loved that he valued praise and verbal affection, knowing you could match it when it was too much for you to be physical. You rolled over onto your back, making room for him to sit down.
He gladly followed your lead, flopping into bed and curling up next to you. He draped an arm around your waist, pulling you into him. You could feel his breath on your neck, his pulse in his wrist that was settled across your stomach. You could feel your breathing, ever so slightly raising and dropping his arm rested on you.
You stiffened, and he must’ve been too tired to notice, letting his fingers draw shapes across your hip.
One thing that was for sure about Eddie, is that his biggest love language is physical touch. He liked being close to people, feeling their skin on his. He liked the warmth of it, craving the comfort. And normally, you were comfortable to compromise, letting him hold you. But today, it was too much.
You held out as long as you could, but you couldn’t take the pressure anymore. You slowly shifted his arm off of you, sliding a few inches away from him. He looked up from his pillow, clearly confused, and a little hurt, pain evident on his face.
“Did I do something wrong?”
You quickly shook your head. “No, love, I promise. It’s just too much today.”
He cocked his head to the side. “What is?”
“Everything,” you replied. “But touch specifically.”
He pulled himself up into a position resting on his elbows, looking you in the eye. “I’m not following, babe.”
You sighed. “I just…I’m not that comfortable with physical affection, I never have been.”
“Baby, you let me hold you all the time! Why didn’t you tell me?”
He’s looking at you now with concern on his face, a mix of pity and worry. A look you wanted to avoid. You didn’t have the right words to explain it to him.
“I let you because it makes you happy, and I like making you happy. It’s not like it’s miserable every time, sometimes it’s nice and I enjoy it. I like being close to you. But other times, like today, it’s just so overwhelming. I don’t know why I’m like this. God, this is embarrassing, I–”
“No, it’s not!” He interrupted. “I think I’m getting it.”
“What do you mean?”
He pondered for a minute, sighing. “When we first started dating, and you’d compliment me or say something sweet, I didn’t know how to take it. I wasn’t used to it, and it was uncomfortable for me. And it wasn’t your fault or anything, you didn’t cause it, it’s just how I was. But the more you did it, the easier it got to take in. It’s still hard sometimes, I’d much rather call you pretty than hear it about myself, but I don’t freeze up like I used to.”
“I don’t know, baby, I’ve always been like this. And I don’t know if practice is going to make a difference with this. But I’m willing to try for you, because it’s important, and I don’t want you thinking I’m a freak for not wanting my boyfriend to touch me.”
His eyes softened on you, his head tilting to the side. “I’d never think that, sweetheart. I promise. I don’t care if you want to touch me or not.”
Angry tears welled up in your eyes, and you fought them down, scoffing.
“This is pathetic. Of course I want to touch you. I just can’t. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
“There’s nothing wrong with you, baby. I get it. Affection is hard. But you touch me enough, and you’re trying your best, that’s what matters, right? I don’t want you forcing yourself or having you be uncomfortable just for my sake.”
You met his eyes, a tear slipping down your face. “This isn’t fair to you, Eddie. It’s not fair to you that you can’t get something you need from me, all because I woke up crazy that day.”
His eyes glossed over, watching you break in front of him, and he couldn’t take it. He raised a hand, hovering it near your cheek.
“Can I?”
You nodded, slowly.
He let his palm cup your cheek, wiping away your tears with his thumb. He moved to take his hand away, but you rushed to grab it, pressing it back to your cheek.
He shook his head, trying to pull it away. “Don’t force it, baby.”
“I’m not,” you said, leaning into his hand. This was bearable, comfortable even. Sometimes, his touch is what you needed.
He ran his thumb across your cheekbone, softly analyzing you under a caring gaze. “You know something?”
“What?”
“If you asked me not to, I’d never touch you again. If it’s what you needed, I’d do it. No questions asked.”
You shook your head. “Eddie, I could never ask you to do that.”
“But I would,” he said, pressing his forehead against yours, letting his hand rest at the nape of your neck. “If you told me that you never wanted me to touch you again, I’d be ok with it. Sure, I like being touched, and sure, I would miss it. But I’d miss you more. I’m not losing you this early on because I couldn’t make you comfortable.”
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Why would he give up something so important to him, and settle, just so he could keep you?
“Why?” You muttered, resting your hand over the one cupping your face.
“Because I love you. Because I’d still be happy with you without that side of a relationship. Anything for you, baby.”
You felt your chest tightening, leaning in and resting your head on his shoulder. “You don’t know how much I love you, Eddie. Or how thankful I am to have someone willing to be with me even when I’m like this.”
He chuckled. “I’m more than willing, love. I’m happy to. Besides, rare touches make the ones we have just that more special.”
You shook your head. “I’d never make you do that. I’m just having a bad day, I’m not always like this. Touch is hard for me most of the time, but I like it sometimes. Especially when it’s you. Actually, pretty much only when it’s you.”
“I feel special,” he grinned, pulling away from you and laying back against the pillows.
“What are you doing?”
He patted the bed where you were sitting. “Laying down with my girl. I don’t want to overwhelm you. But I did have a pretty shit day, so can we just lay here together? Just for a little while?”
Your heart melted at the sight of him, looking at you with such care, waiting for an answer. You laid down close to his side, not touching him, but still feeling his warmth. You took a deep breath, reaching down and intertwining your fingers with his.
He smiled, giving your hand a squeeze, a blush on his cheeks. “You sure?”
You brought your joined hands up to your lips, pressing a kiss to the back of his hand, before lowering them back down to settle in between the two of you.
“I’m sure, baby.”

A/N - Hi! I have another request or two left for Stranger Things, but I’m still accepting them. If you have one for the older characters, especially Eddie or Steve, I’ll gladly take it.
Heyaa, when the requests are open can you maybe do a princess x Zuko where the princess is always clinging to Zuko when she's cold? Just a random thought that came into my mind since Zuko is a firebender hehe :)
pairing: zuko x princess!reader
a/n: this is technically part of the fire lilies series but can also be read as a solo piece independently
summary: princess and zuko go penguin sledding
~ part of the fire lilies series ~
The rush of cold wind against your cheeks is exhilarating as you glide down the snow covered hills. Your delighted laughter carries through the air and brings a smile to Zuko’s face as you enjoy a day penguin sledding out in the palace courtyards.
Being kidnapped by Gilak and having your life threatened once again had been a traumatic experience for both you and your boyfriend, so Hakoda and your mother had advised you take a much needed day off for yourself. He could handle the work of drafting plans for an eco friendly oil rig and the foreign embassies while Pakku and Katara took on the school for the time being. Though you were hesitant to take a day off knowing there was so much to be done, Zuko had been the one to finally convince you that you desperately needed a break.
Today would be his last day in the South before he had to return home, and so you figured the best way to spend your time together would be with a trip through memory lane. You hadn’t been penguin sledding together since you were kids, so it seemed like a good idea to both of you to revisit your favorite pastime from when you were children.
You slow to a stop as you reach the end of the hill and land onto the plush snow below you with a laugh. The chill of the ice sends shivers down your spine but you choose to ignore it. All the back and forth traveling you’ve been doing hasn’t allowed your body the chance to acclimate to the weather of your home yet, but you try not to let it bother you.
“Having fun?” Zuko asks with a laugh as he helps you up off the snow. You immediately cling to his figure in an attempt to steal some of his heat, prompting the Fire Lord to raise a brow as he wraps his arms around your frame. “You’re not getting cold, are you?”
“Of course not,” you scoff indignantly, though your subtle trembling says otherwise.
“Maybe we should head inside-“
“No!” You immediately cry out in protest before he can finish his sentence. “We’ve hardly just begun the day. Don’t you want to keep penguin sledding?”
“Of course I do,” he assures you with a comforting kunik, “but I worry the cold might be too much for you.
“Too much?! I’m Chief of the Southern Water Tribe, I don’t get cold.”
“Alright,” Zuko relents with a chuckle at your adamant rebuttal. For a water bender you’re surprisingly stubborn, but he loves your headstrong nature more than anything. “Let’s keep sledding.”
Your face lights up with glee when he finally relents and allows you to carefully pick up your penguin and carry him back up the hill while showering the creature with praises and pets. He’d forgotten just how much you enjoyed the activity, and it was nice to see that same smile from your childhood again. It had been years since you both went sledding, since you both were just two kids unaware of what the future held in store for you, since you both were free of fear and responsibility and hurt. The war had taken a lot from you, forced you both to grow up too fast, so he was grateful for the fact that you both could just be kids again, even if only for a day.
“Y/n,” Zuko calls as the sun begins to set and the day begins to end, “I think it’s time we head inside for dinner. Your mother said she was making five-flavor soup for us.”
“Just one more time down the hill?” You plead with your best pout, though you know it doesn’t take much to convince Zuko to give in to your requests.
“Alright, but that’s it,” he tells you with a chuckle before following you up the hill. The courtyard lanterns begin to glow beautifully below as the moon starts to overtake the sky, and you exchange playful smiles with one another before beginning your decent down the snow.
Zuko’s hair blows wildly away from his face, his grin the biggest you’ve ever seen it, and you’re so caught up in admiring him that you don’t even notice the large pile of snow you’re about to crash into.
“Princess, look out!” Zuko tries to warn you, but it’s too late. You can do nothing but pull the penguin to your chest and shield it from the impact as you collide into the snowy mound. The Fire Lord winces on your behalf before quickly rushing to your aid. The otter penguin emerges after a moment and shakes the snow off its body before waddling away, but you fail to do the same. Zuko has to dig through the slush to pull you out, and as he lifts you up and into his arms he’s able to feel just how cold to the touch you are.
“Th-Thhere’s s-snow e-every-wh-where,” you complain through chattering teeth as you wrap your arms as tightly around his neck as possible in a desperate attempt to feel his warmth.
“Let’s get you inside before you freeze to death,” he comforts while carrying your trembling figure back inside the palace. If not for Zuko’s body heat, you’d surely already be feeling the effects of hypothermia taking place.
Thankfully, your boyfriend is able to swiftly make it back inside the palace and carry you through the halls towards your room. The heat of Zuko’s embrace melts the ice inside your clothes, but the dampness only seems to worsen the feeling of cold. You shiver incessantly, and he can only look on guiltily as he tries his best to ease your discomfort.
Finally, he swings the door to your bedroom open and carefully sets you back on your feet before helping you remove your heavy coat. He sets the wet material aside to dry before coming up to your trembling figure and rubbing his hands up and down your arms in an attempt to spread heat across your limbs.
“I’ll go find your mother and tell her what happened. You stay here and get out of those clothes before you catch a cold,” he advises you with a meek smile, a red blush tinting his cheeks when he realizes he probably should have phrased his sentence more delicately. Zuko presses a tender kiss to your forehead before leaving to give you your privacy and shutting the door behind him.
Your skin feels like ice as you peel off the rest of your ensemble as quickly as you can. You were so used to beach days at Ember Island and swims in the lakes with your friends that you’d forgotten just how cold the water could be. Considering you grew up in the South, you’re a tad embarrassed to know how easily it gets to you now. You’d been away for so long, and even when you returned home you still found yourself venturing out often, so a part of you wondered if maybe you’d never fully readjust to the climate.
“Y/n?” A voice calls from the other side of the door followed by a gentle knock. “Zuko sent me to check on you. I have the warmest blanket I could find. May I come in?”
“Just a second, Mom,” you reply as you scramble to throw on a fresh set out of clothes and make yourself decent for visitors. After slipping into the warmest dress you can find, you open the door and allow her into your room.
“Someone got a little carried away penguin sledding, I hear,” she says with a teasing smile before draping the blanket around your shoulders. “You’re like ice! Thank spirits Zuko has that natural fire bending warmth to him or you might have frozen out there!”
“Yeah,” you murmur in agreement with a dejected frown, one that your mother notices right away.
“My little koala otter, what’s the matter?”
“I’m just a little embarrassed, I guess,” you admit with a sheepish laugh. “I thought I’d gotten over my aversion to the cold.”
“I think anyone who managed to get snow in their clothes would be cold,” she notes with a faint smile before pressing a kiss to your forehead. “I’m just happy to see you having fun again. You had to grow up very fast, something your father and I should have worked harder to prevent, so it’s nice to hear your laugh again and see you sledding like you did as a little girl.”
You smile at her words before pulling her into a tight hug, hoping the action conveys all your appreciation for her. Zuko walks in then with a tray of steaming five-flavor soup and tea in the hopes it will return some of your warmth to you.
“I’ll let you both enjoy your dinner alone,” she says after removing herself from your embrace. Exiting the room, she pauses to give Zuko’s arm a light squeeze. “Make sure she stays warm.”
“Yes, Kira,” he replies with a nod before returning his attention to you. “Let’s get you settled in.”
Setting the tray aside, Zuko escorts you back to bed and tucks the blanket around your figure as best as he can with you sitting up. Once you’re comfortable, he presses a tender kiss to your forehead before handing you the cup of tea. It’s the same cup from the set Iroh had gifted you some time ago, and the sight of it brings a faint smile to your face as you take in the smell of jasmine.
“You’re already starting to feel warmer,” Zuko notes pleasantly before trading your cup for the bowl of soup. “I should have warned you about that pile of snow sooner.”
“It’s okay, I don’t regret a thing. I had so much fun today, the most I’ve had in a while. I wish you didn’t have to leave tomorrow.”
“Don’t worry,” Zuko assures you as he uses his bending to reheat your tea before it can grow cold, “the day will come where we’ll never have to be apart ever again.”
“I can’t wait,” you confess with a smile only for it to fall at the sudden sneeze that leaves you.
“I think you might be catching a cold, my love,” Zuko notes with a frown.
“Will you stay and keep me warm?” You ask with a pleading look, one that makes it impossible for him to deny your request. How could he say no to your sweet face?
Climbing into bed with you, Zuko envelops himself around your figure and allows you to steal his warmth. He’ll never get tired of being your personal heater, and he’d be happy to spend the rest of his days like this.
You’ll never reacclimatize to the cold, because no matter where you go, Zuko will always be there to bring warmth to your life.
And not that supposed leak that “fans” are listening to. Dont listen to a leaked album. All that hard work, all that lead up just to be ruined by a leak? That sucks. Respect the time and effort put in. A release date is a release date for a reason. Anyway.

Sakura Festival Masterlist - Masterlist
Zuko’s head was heavily resting in your lap, cushioned on the deep red fabric of your gown pulled over your soft thighs. His amber eyes watched your face closely as you ran your hands through his dark hair, admiring the way the soft strands so effortlessly slipped through your fingers. It had been a while since you had sat like this. Between the conflict at the former colony of Yu Dao, now its own state, and the immediately following search for Zuko’s mother, there had been little time for any kind of quiet intimacy between Zuko and you.
After you had found his mother, and had returned to the palace, Zuko had been quieter than you knew him to be. He had spent a long time talking to his mother before leaving her and his half-sister in order to return to the palace, and you suspected that whatever they had discussed, was still occupying his mind. Usually, he talked to you about whatever thought he couldn’t get rid of, but so far, he had kept it shut inside, making you wonder if it simply was something he did not want to share, if he didn’t want to share it with you, or if he only needed a little more time to think about it.
A few days ago, he had eventually asked if you wanted to come to Ba Sing Se with him, an invitation you had gladly taken. You were staying at his uncle's place, a small house with only a few rooms, which gave the two of you the opportunity to share the narrow bed and cuddle up each night. In the palace, there were always guards around, and Zuko had been advised that it would be better if the two of you were not to sleep in the same room, at least not too often, to avoid gossip. Zuko had been in an especially bad mood after that for a while, grumbling about how he was your boyfriend and why anybody other than the two of you should be concerned with your relationship. But if he had learnt anything in the year of being Fire Lord, it was that certain advice was better to be followed, and as much as both of you hated it, this was one of the instances.
This in turn meant both of you cherished the time at Uncle Iroh’s home even more. With the excuse of not enough space, you got to share a bed each night, falling asleep in each other’s arms without the concern of guards walking in or starting rumours.
Both of you were aware that you could not hide out in Ba Sing Se forever, but you had agreed that a holiday of a few days would be acceptable, and so you spent the days either helping in Uncle Iroh’s tea shop or talking long walks in the parks that spread wide and far through the city.
Now you were sitting in the garden that belonged to his uncle’s tea shop, back against the trunk of a blooming cherry tree, Zuko laying spread out on the ground, his head resting in your lap. Usually, you would have taken the opportunity to ask him what he was thinking about, but considering the events of the past month, the almost-war at Yu Dao and the reunion with his mother, which he still hadn’t talked about, you thought it would be better if he were the one to talk first. Or not. While you were curious about what had happened, you never wanted to make him feel like you were prying into parts of his life he wasn’t ready to share with you.
His eyes flickered from your face to the pink blossoms above your heads, before focusing back on you, a smile tucking at his lips before he spoke.
“You know,” he began, his voice soft, “For the time in which I was thinking Ikem was my father, I was almost relieved.”
Ikem, the man his mother had loved before having been married to his father Ozai, and the man who she had returned to after leaving the palace.
Quietly you nodded, more to yourself than Zuko. You had suspected as much, judging from his behaviour and how he had talked about Ozai in these days.
“If Ikem had been my father, I’d never have to worry about turning out like Ozai again,” he explained, his eyes almost absentmindedly tracing your features, like a routine that brought him comfort. “I wouldn’t be in danger to turn as crazy and delusional as him, or Azula. And I could have stopped feeling guilty for not being as powerful a firebender as them.”
You wanted to disagree, tell him he was as good as them, but the truth was they were more powerful than he would probably ever be, even though he had by far the better techniques and his skills were more refined. The only ones who had ever looked down on him for that had been the two of them, and to you it couldn’t matter less how good at firebending he was, or whether he was a bender at all. But you had a feeling this talk was better to be had at another time. Right now it was more important that Zuko got to share his thoughts uninterrupted, while he felt safe and comfortable enough to confide you.
“And Azula…” He trailed off, his eyes leaving your face and returning to the blossoms above him. “I always got told these stories when I was little, about siblings sticking together, through thick and thin, like Sokka and Katara. But Azula and I never were like that. Even when I tried to be what I thought a big brother should be like, she only ever took pleasure in humiliating me. If I had been only her half-brother, it would have felt like an explanation, and I could have stopped feeling guilty for it.”
A crease was forming on his forehead, and you brought your hand from his hair to his face, brushing over his forehead with your thumb.
“Why would you feel guilty for the way she was treating you, hm,” you asked. “It doesn’t make sense.”
“No, it doesn’t,” Zuko agreed. “Still there were times when I just wanted to get along with her. I just wanted a normal family. For my father to love me the way my mother had, for Azula to treat me like her brother, even if that includes the one or the other rivalry. But not like some second-class human being.”
“In Azula’s eyes everyone who isn’t her is a second-class human being,” you mumbled.
“I know,” Zuko sighed. “But still.”
“I’m sorry that you never got the family you wished for,” you whispered. “You have every right to be upset about that.”
“For a moment I thought, I could have that family, you know,” Zuko admitted. “If Ikem really would have been my father- I could have had a normal family, the one I always wanted, a father who’s proud of me, my mother who never made me feel small or irrelevant and a sister who actually sees me as a human and not just a challenge.” He took a deep breath. “But I always would have doubted my position as Fire Lord,” he continued. “I wouldn’t have known where I belonged anymore.” He hesitated for a moment before he added: “I think I would have even started to doubt that I belong at your side.”
“I wouldn’t have allowed you to doubt that,” you told him, and the crease on his forehead softened under your insistent brushing over it. You could have been only of little help if he had started doubting his position as Fire Lord, but you would never let him question that the two of you belonged with each other. That was not a matter of heritage, it was a matter of your hearts, your souls. As dramatic as it sounded, you were convinced that Zuko and you were bound together by more than the emotions you were aware of.
Even before you had really gotten to know another, back when you had still been enemies, you had always found and saved each other, even when all rationality had dictated the opposite. You had defied probability and logic again and again, consciously, and subconsciously, so much that by the time Zuko had turned up at the Wester Air Temple with an awkward “Hello, Zuko here”, you had been convinced you were cursed to always run into him.
Now you were convinced it was something else entirely, something that would lead you back to find each other no matter when and where you were. For a while Zuko had loved to throw around the word ‘destiny’, and even though you hardly believed in that concept, you couldn’t imagine to not be bound to him by destiny.
Zuko’s eyes found yours, clear amber staring up at you on a mixture of wonder and admiration.
“No,” he finally agreed with you. “I belong with you. No matter who I am, or where, or when. I’m yours.”
You smiled at the certainty in his voice, knowing that right now there was absolutely no doubt in neither of your hearts about that. Gently you brushed his hair aside and leant down to press a kiss to his forehead. His eyes flickered closed blissfully, and you grinned at the way he puckered his lips, expecting a kiss there too, but you pulled away teasingly. When he realised you weren’t going to kiss him, he blinked his eyes open, frowning at you disapprovingly, while snuggling into the palm with which you cupped his face. Sometimes it still surprised you how touch starved he was.
“And I’m yours,” you whispered, making him blush. After almost a year of exchanged whispers like this you would think he had gotten used to them yet, but you loved how you were still able to fluster him so easily.
“I’m just glad I get to be by your side,” Zuko confessed, making you smile.
“I’m glad, too,” you replied before leaning down again, this time softly kissing his lips, pretending like the soft sigh that slipped past his lips did not make your heart skip a beat, but you had a feeling Zuko knew either way.
jaime and sansa had always been the sort of golden child of their family but never felt the pressure of expection because they lived up to what everyone thought of them but then something happens that makes them second guess themselves and if they ever really deserved such praise.
sansa was the exemplary daughter polite and gentle but then she goes to kingslanding and didn’t feel like a princess in one of those stories she felt like a stupid little girl to blind to see the monsters in front of her face.
jaime was a golden lion the perfect heir but then he becomes a kingsguard and all those stories of chivalry he filled his head with turned to ash. it was one big lie and he was one of the great defenders of said lie.
