So last week I started this project where I drew a portrait every day for a week to practise my shading and I’ve finally finished it.
Finished my art project!!💡 100/10🌟 500% recommend 😁🎄 #diabetes #actuallydiabetic
feeling good, even though I have a metal butt these days. my wheelchair & I are making a good team. :)
A black and white photo of disabled activists, most in wheelchairs, proudly marching under a banner that reads ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’ - Martin Luther King Jr.
“Bionic” pop star Viktoria Modesta is shattering stereotypes about people with disabilities
Viktoria Modesta pushes viewers to forget what they know about disability.
In a commercial during the Sunday finale of The X Factor in the U.K., Channel 4 unveiled a portion of the model and singer’s new music video for her electro-pop song “Prototype.”
It’s not only her music that stands out, but also a characteristic that clearly sets her apart from most other pop stars: Modesta is an amputee — and she’s not apologizing for it.
Two more reasons to love Carol Rossetti’s pictures collection is because it adresses disability and it portrays women with disabilities too. I’m so excited that the first one has my name on it!

Using my energy today to go to Ikea with my Grandma and Uncle instead of cleaning my house. *shrugs*
First time taking a #selfportrait in my #wheelchair. It was a bit weird, but I loved it in the end. What do you guys think? #cripplepunk
ASL interpretation of our upcoming event by Nicka Sage!
I’ve noticed that my hair has grown so much so to the point where I can do a side braid that wraps around to the back of my head. I use bobby pins keep the little hairs tucked in the braid which helps to maintain it. It is extremely hard to do when you have a haircut like mine, so in a way I get to make my cake and eat it too! (I believe that’s how the saying goes :P)
Hair color and cut: wes and roxie
Outfit: black crop top and blue skirt by H&M, anchor necklace by TopShop, and ring given to me from Kendra Scott

"I love that it’s curved. I love that my body’s scarred. I love that it’s seated in a chair, that my hands are spastic and that it puts me in a unique position to share my experience. It’s one of a kind."
I love this portrait! (and the hat)
