the card i have chosen to discuss for this assignment is one of the twenty-two within the major arcana of a deck. as many know, upon pulling a card, there is always a general base message or suggestion connected. however, there is also always two main steps to interpreting a card, and those involve reading whether the card is in its upright position, or it’s reversed position. for this assignment, i will provide a general, work, health, and spiritual meaning for both card positions.
the star card is a very important card in the deck, and one of my personal favorites, due to its representation of personal growth and transformation.
when in its upright position, this is a card that suggests you are leaving a point in your life in which you have endured a great turmoil, a time of difficulty, and many challenges. it suggests that you are finally taking your steps out of the dark and into the light at the end of the tunnel. this card may also represent a time to take on change, to hold onto the faith that good is coming, to let go of your bitterness, anger, and regrets. this card gives you a chance to stop and ask yourself these important questions: what do i want to see change? where do i want to be that would make me happy?
in its upright position, the star card may also suggest a desire to be generous. it suggests that you may want to reach out to others, to open your heart, and to share what you have with those less fortunate. suggesting a desire to share the blessings you have received.
when in a reversed position, this card may suggest that you feel lost, discouraged, or like you are trapped. upon pulling this card, it can suggest that you are overwhelmed, disengaged, and hopeless. there is a particular lack of energy when this card is pulled in reverse, as well as a lack of inspiration spiritually. this card is pulled often when a person has put their enthusiasm, efforts, and inspiration into a task only to have it fail.
in this reversed position, your days may begin to feel like a dreary chore. this card suggests that it is a good time to remind yourself that this is a chance to grow and to change.
when pulling this card upright with work in mind, it can often suggest that you are reaching a point in your career where you feel content, and like you have finally moved forward towards a more settled-in position. this may also suggest that if you have been unhappy with your current work situation, something new and fresh is coming your way. these things do not always come in expected ways, so it is suggested that a person who has pulled this card is prepared for surprises.
when pulling this card reversed with work in mind, it can often suggest that you are burnt-out in your current work situation. perhaps you feel that you have worked harder and harder, to not receive much in return, or to even feel as if it isn’t truly paying off the way that you deserve. it may suggest that this is a time to step up and ask for that raise, or to even pull out your old resume and try for something that calls deeper to your heart.
when pulling this card upright with health in mind, it may suggest that you in a good and positive place with your health. any tests coming in will most likely bare wondrous results, and you will feel at peace. this is a time to sit back, take care of yourself, and enjoy life as is.
when pulling this card reversed with health in mind, it may suggest that you are unhappy with your health as of lately. perhaps you’re feeling more sore after doing normal, routine tasks, or you feel as though you aren’t doing as much for your body as you have in the past. this card may also suggest that you feel unmotivated and uninspired to take better care of yourself.
when pulling this card upright with spirituality in mind, it may suggest that you have reached a point on your spiritual journey in which you feel completely at peace. you are comfortable with yourself, with your beliefs, and you feel ready to step out into the world and share some of the positivity and wisdom you hold. this card suggests that it is a wonderful time to meet people, to reach out, and to take on the world with your very best efforts.
when pulling this card reversed with spirituality in mind, it may suggest that you feel disconnected from yourself and the world around you. perhaps you don’t feel the same energy in the earth you once did, or as if you’ve fallen off of your horse and are no longer sure of which path to take. pulling this card does not mean that all hope is lost, but merely that this is your time to focus, and find your way home.
