Oh, he’d need another minute. His whole body shook, fluffing up his feathers briefly as he, once again, tried to shake off the dizziness from the head-on collision. Though the tingling in his wing didn’t go away, his forehead was quick to recover.
By the time Berdly properly recollected himself, the fellow bluebird was on her feet, extending a left wing to his own. He blinked, stunned briefly, before letting out a light chuckle. Though it wasn’t often he accepted help, especially something as small as this, it’d be easier to just take the hand instead of letting his stubbornness get the better of him.
A bold one, he thought. She introduced herself first. Once asked for his name, Berdly took a step back to give himself room for a dramatic bow, flicking his wing to the side as he sank. His tail twitched with pride.
*Ah, Plume. A lovely name for a lovely bluebird.
*Why, I’m the gallant Berdly Bluefeather, gamer extraordinaire and Hometown’s top student!
He placed a wing on his chest, just above the sling.
*What brings you to the sleepy town of Hometown?
Whatever doubt there might have been about a huge coincidence has been utterly dismantled. But, how? That’s the lingering question overwhelming her head now. Was this a Dark World? Or something else entirely?
But... maybe, right now, is not the best to freak out. She steels herself, trying to put as much of that away for now as she brushes some dirt from the concrete off her skirt and hoodie while her counterpart bowed before her.
“A f-fellow gamer? Hmm.... Tell me. Dragon Blazers 3 or Dragon Blazers 2?”
She says, completely ignoring that last question, trying to for as long as she can with a tone of voice that sounds like it’s trying to be confident but isn’t.. quite there yet.
