the term “non binary” is completely redundant. Men and women can act and dress however they want without it needing to be some super special new identity
In fact, identifying as “non binary” only further enforces gender roles
For someone to identify as “out of the box”, there need to be boxes and other people to put in those boxes.
yeah that’s the whole problem with identity politics. it’s completely self-serving. you can just “identify” out of gender, washing your hands of it without making any effort to combat it, earn your super woke liberal points and call it a day. fuck those “cis” bitches, right? they must be fine with gender roles or they’d just ~identify~ out of them.
This is why I always found the whole “they/them” pronoun trend to be counter intuitive. Every time I encounter someone who dons such pronouns they typically justify it by saying that they do not identify with the gender role/qualities associated with he/she - which, understandable, most people don’t. But wouldn’t it be more productive to live actively in society as an example by proclaiming I am male/female, I go by he/she, and that doesn’t dictate anything regarding my personality, tastes or outward expression? By using they/them pronouns, aren’t you therefore indirectly insinuating that everyone else who does utilize he/she pronouns must identify with their associated gender roles/qualities? I don’t think a society in which everyone goes by “they” would be conducive to effective human communication.
no offence but literally no one gives a fuck if you don’t feel included, sometimes certain spaces need to practice exclusion, this is not oppression and if it makes you feel invalidated then that’s a personal problem you must deal with
things you need to be included in - voting, representation in local and federal legislature.
Things you need access to - public goods and services, education, health services
Thing that you are on your own to find or make - friends, social groups, sexual partners, special interest groups
for those who seem to have forgotten what human rights actually are. (hint: they don’t include sex)
The evening of June 11th, 2020 began as a regular Thursday night for Aseal Iysheh. The 24 year-old was seen at a BJ’s Food Mart in Knoxville, Tennessee around 9PM that evening. Around 9:15, while at the store, Aseal sent a text message to her sister saying that she was hungry. Nothing seemed unusual about that text exchange. However, mere minutes later, Aseal was dead. She had been shot to death in the store’s parking lot. Around 9:30 PM, Knoxville PD responded to a call about the shooting. Once they arrived at the BJ’s Food Mart, they found the gruesome scene in the parking lot. Aseal had suffered from numerous gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene. There were reportedly numerous witnesses who saw the shooting, but many had fled before police arrived. The shooter also fled the scene and has still not been caught. Throughout the investigation, it was revealed that Aseal had allegedly been assaulted in the same parking lot just weeks before her death. She told police that her assailant was a 44 year-old man she was dating at the time. Police have not revealed this man’s name, but they did reveal that he was in jail on the evening of Aseal’s death. As a result, he has been ruled out as Aseal’s killer–however it is unclear if investigators believe he might have somehow been involved in another way. Although investigators have not formally identified a suspect, they did state that Aseal was shot by a man. Through some witnesses, investigators learned that Aseal and the man had gotten into an argument before she was subsequently shot. There were many other witnesses on the scene who have yet to come forward with information. There is a monetary reward for anyone with information that leads to Aseal’s killer. The reward has been raised numerous times in hopes of providing incentive for a witness to speak up. At this time, the reward is $20,000. If you have any information that could help the investigation, please call the Knoxville police department’s crime hotline at 865-215-7212.

I'm an atheist because I don't believe in higher power or higher intelligence.
But being a real atheist means understanding that humans don't have higher power or higher intelligence either. Being a real atheist means understanding there is no hierarchy of being. The human perception of the universe is not the definitive objective state of the universe. We are not the higher intelligence because there is no higher intelligence.
Real atheism must reject the theology of human exceptionalism. We must accept our humble limitations while wondering what's beyond them.
It's beneficial to wonder. Wondering is an act of humility.
But it's egomaniacal to claim that you know more than you could ever possibly know. It's egomaniacal to claim that you hold all the answers to the universe.
A French radfem is being sued for correctly recognising biological reality
Dora Moutot, one of the most famous French gender critical radical feminists, is being sued by two LGBTQ+ organisations because she called a TIM a "transfeminine man" and a TIF a "transmasculine woman". This, according to these organizations, constitutes "insults and a call for transphobic hate". This will be the first judicial case of "misgendering" in France.
The organisations represent the two individuals who Dora Moutot referred to, "Marie" Cau (the TIM) and Hanneli Escurier (the TIF). For context, this is what they take issue with:
When invited to speak and debate on the TV show Quelle Epoque, she said: "To me, Marie Cau is a man. A transfeminine man." She went on to explain how trans ideology presents risks for women's rights, citing as an example male inmates in female prisons and the ensuing rapes. These are facts. And despite her explaining these facts in a very diplomatic way ("I'm of course not saying every trans person do such things, far from it, but as women we have to be distrustful of people with penises"), she is accused of "public provocation of transphobic hate"
Hanneli Escurier, the TIF, has expressed threats of violence towards Dora Moutot. She put on a show where she was boxing, and next to her were a series of signs with the people she herself declared were "to be killed". One of these signs read "Dora Moutot and the other TERFs". Hanneli Escurier has also posted a story where she called for violence towards "the TERFs", saying that whoever beats them up should have their legal expenses crowdfunded and their acts publicly supported. Dora Moutit has denounced these actions, and it is in these contexts that she referred to Escurier as a "transmasculine woman".
This is the first time in France that a person is sued for describing reality. But it's not the first time TRAs have taken up pitchforks against Dora Moutot. They have already destroyed her commercial partners, lobbied to have her books removed from libraries, and ostracised her from feminist rallies.
What you can do:
Spread the word, especially if you're French. This is an issue of misogyny and freedom of speech - Dora Moutot has not insulted these trans people, she simply addressed their biology and described reality. People like Laetitia Ky are already speaking up in support
If you have a radfem social media page, please consider sharing this issue with your followers
If you have money to spare, please consider donating to the fund for her legal expenses. The French justice system is not cheap
Support her on Instagram @doramoutot, fight the trolls in her comments if you have the mental capacity for the vitriol, or just send her a nice message
I'm also going to buy her books, they are available online. Im going to keep updating this post with more info over the coming days.
This quote from the women’s suffrage memorial in Knoxville is as prescient as ever given the current climate.
okay me
Nailed it
imagine if instead, the last decade or so had been spent on an absolute feverish push to make it so that no woman is asked or assumed to be feminine, no girl is asked to shave. imagine if all this effort had gone towards “men and women are just male and female, lets leave outdated sex stereotypes in the trash, lets stop punishing kids for not liking the right color or wearing the right clothes”
but instead, we got stuck with “lets chemically castrate these kids for liking the wrong color, and wearing the wrong clothes”
@staff @staffs-secret-blog @support tell me why this was approved for blaze right fucking now
reported. If @staff values its user base at all, then this post will be swiftly purged and more measures will be taken so that hate speech is not allowed to be PROMOTED on my fucking dashboard
update
reblog the shit out of this i wont let this go under the rug especially since another trans mutual of mine got the same post on his dash
@humans @wip @staff @staffs-secret-blog @support
@staff very cool that you apparently don't draw the line if it means more money in your pocket, very cool to know that the rules are flexible if you’re getting paid
tumblr staff approved the blaze, shithead. they obviously don’t care LMAO
TRAs see dozens of examples of transwomen hurting/raping/killing women and their reaction is to get angry with the women for calling attention to it. this is a men's rights movement.
The original post is literally just stating crimes that happened and are easily verifiable on Google. Factual retellings of events aren’t “hate speech” just because you don’t like them.
Ain't it scary being 24?
Like 25 is such a strong number on the horizon.
actually aging is a gift so jot that down
I cannot describe how freeing it is to think of womanhood as a state of being female and nothing else; no expectations, no rules, just being content with how I was born and who I was meant to be.
