5. When bad things happen, do they usually think it happened to them or because of them

Bad things happen all the time in the wasteland™. Sean actively chooses to get in trouble to have the upper hand. He won't admit it because his main goal is to hide the weak boy who didn't deserve to win in the first place. If Sean fucks up and someone tries to press him about it - he'll find a million excuses, zero reflection or accountability. "Bad luck, shit happens, nothing you can do about it. It's called life. Gotta keep moving if you wanna live, instead of wasting time on moping around and slowly existing. I sure as hell wanna." <- proceeds to get wasted and forgets what happened yesterday to continue living on the edge today.

9. When in pain do they take it out on others or do they keep it inside

Growing up Matt had to keep a lot of himself inside to fit in. He treasures genuine connections and prefers to avoid confrontation, already fed up with the lifelong feeling of alienation. Kind of a people pleaser when it comes to loved ones. His negative emotions are pretty dull. And while he tries to express himself more with age, those remain deeper. It all comes out when he's on stage.
