My little Slytherin is going to be a year old this month and I can't believe it's already here. Here's the very first picture I took of my handsome boy on October 6, 2018.

Bubs and Chewy got their annual wellness check exam done yesterday. Thank you Dr. Ryan at Fox Hollow Vet for taking such good care of my boys.

Took Stormfly out for the first time today. Making a mental note to invest in a leash and harness that I can attach to his pet carrier so he can "freely" explore without running away.

Athena decided she didn't want to be a scarf anymore and tried to be a hat instead.

Took Athena out to explore our bed a little bit and got this amazing shot of her. She's so precious.

7 months old and 29 grams. I can't wait to see how big this girl is gonna get.

To celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary my husband and I visited the Denver Zoo. During our visit we got to see some of the new Komodo dragon babies. I'm excited to see these babies grow into massive dragons.

Happy 1 month away from being a year old my little Slytherin. Am I a crazy snake mom for wanting to throw my first snake a first birthday party? Because I wanna throw him a first birthday party.

Today was water change day and in my husband's attempt to help me out and bond with Athena, she decided it would be more fun to enter his shirt sleeve and come out through the neck. I'm dying with laughter, my husband was not as amused. @artofthecrowe

Being that Bubs is part Jack Russell terrier he did inherit some breeding traits, specifically the ones that drive him to chase after small animals (this also includes squirrels). Because of this I have to keep him separated from the reptiles and the birds which really sucks. Thankfully, with the help of a pet carrier for Stormfly I'm able to discourage Bubs from pouncing and possibly hurting Stormfly since he sees a very obvious barrier, which allows Stormfly to relax and allow him some time out of his regular cage.

Even though African house snakes are nocturnal he does come out every now and then so I can snap pictures of him.
