100% true:
“the state and industry use Nostalgia as a tool to manipulate the masses by distorting memories of the perceived economic and political stability in decades past, and then manufacturing trends based on the decade in question”
100% annoying and insane:
“Everytime You Feel Nostalgia For A Time When Music Was Better, You Become A Reactionary And Enemy Of The Revolution (link to substack in bio)”
Why the fuck are you 30+ on tumblr
this is my house?
"could you win a fight with your doppelganger" and "would you fuck your clone" questions are fun but honestly they don't reveal nearly as much as my favourite question: could you manipulate them?
it's like. not only how well do you know yourself, but how much can you separate yourself from the concept of "you"? how far are you willing to go to establish control over yourself? can you really look yourself in the eyes and lie? and if you can, what does that say about you?
"why would you even want to do this" another great question!!
honestly you all are so annoying because motherhood IS interesting but fandom people are simultaneously obsessed with deciding that every woman has motherly qualities and completely disinterested in actually exploring motherhood as a role that informs a character. I do think exploring a character being a mother can be wildly interesting if they are canonically one, but because of misogyny, people just view motherhood as a totally unremarkable naturalized state that all women must inhabit!
if you continue to tag men on this post about misogyny i will start killing the hostages.
one of the most frustrating things about getting a job is that after you go through the absolute hellscape that is applying and interviewing and you finally prove yourself worthy of having employment, you'll end up in the workforce and realise that 90% of the people with jobs are not actually very good at them. so like why was all of that even so hard
It's probably not a great economic indicator that I've stopped getting spam claiming it wants to give me a million dollars and started getting spam claiming it wants to give me a job at Walmart.
