Happy pride month to the tiny cowboy and tiny Trojan man from Night at the Museum
This hands down the best comment in the notes, I will not be taking criticism.
These may be my last words or the last time I write a post about my family, so I will not forgive anyone who sees this post and does not support me with a single word and ignores me.
Days of complete silence have passed, and I'm terrified. I check the campaign link daily, but the amount hasn't changed. Not a single euro. It feels like the world has moved on, but my nephew's pain remains. His surgery is urgent, and so are his medical needs. We're close to closing the gap, but I can't bear this alone anymore. If you have ten or twenty dollars to spare, please help us today. If you don't, your contribution is our only lifeline to reach someone who can help. Please don't ignore someone desperately seeking a lifeline for my orphaned nephew.
We need 700 euros for my nephew's surgery. The operation is in a sensitive area of his body and cannot be delayed. The surgery will determine his future ability to have children, and it must be done as soon as possible while he is still young, before he grows older and suffers greatly, and may also be unable to have children. Please don't leave us alone. Help us! Donate to us!
My nephew is his parents' only child. He lost his father in this genocide in the Gaza Strip and has suffered many traumas in this war. Please don't leave him alone. Donate for his operation. Please donate, donate! 💔😭

If anything bad happens to me or I lose contact with you, please remember that I begged you to donate, even a small amount, or to share my post. I will not forgive anyone who sees this post and doesn't support me with a single word or a small donation, and ignores me.
Guys, someone donated 15 euros, but we still need 685 euros for my nephew's surgery amidst this genocide. I hope everyone who reads my message will donate. Please don't let us down. 💔
Today I will tell you what happened to me, hoping it will move you to help. I went to the vendor in front of my house—a small stall where he sells things for children. I bought some things for my sick nephew to make him happy, and then I quickly went home. Behind me, the entire area was targeted, and many children were injured, some even killed. I was very close to death; I swear he was only a few meters away. Please, how long will we continue like this? Please donate. I almost died today, and no one would have saved my nephew. Please, we still need 675 euros so we can pay for his operation.
Now, just tell me, if I died or anything bad happened to me, would anyone help my nephew get his surgery? Just tell me. I'm begging you, with a very tired and exhausted heart. I haven't forgotten what happened to my mother and brother. Please, I can't bear any more loss. Please donate here. 💔😭

We still need 600 euros for my nephew's surgery. Please, someone help us. Our goal is small compared to what others might think. We need 24 people. If each person donated 25 euros, I could get my nephew's surgery now. Please don't let us down. Donate. I haven't forgotten what happened yesterday; I almost died. Please save us and donate.
Keti Jovanovski Needs Your Help | A letter from Abdul Rahman: Dear friends and kind hearts, My name is Abdul Rahman, and I write to you from
Please donate what you can to save his nephew !! Any donation will help, but do not let the campaign go stagnant !!!
Look at these pictures. How long will this continue? Yesterday I narrowly escaped death, and today a residential block near my home was targeted, and we miraculously survived again. How long will this silence last? It will kill me and my family. Please help me. Donate to us. Donate to my nephew to save him from death and get him the surgery he needs. I'm afraid if anything happens to me, no one will be able to save my nephew. Please, please donate before we die. Donate! 😭💔

We still need 580 euros for my nephew's surgery. Please donate now! Don't let us down! Please, before anything bad happens to my nephew. Tomorrow is the last day for his surgery. We only have a few hours left and we still haven't reached our goal. Please donate! 😭💔
Guys, we still need 435 euros for my nephew's surgery, and the last appointment is in 18 hours. Please don't let us down. Donate now! I will never forgive anyone who sees this and ignores me. I don't want anything bad to happen to my nephew or for him to miss his surgery. Donate! Donate! 💔😭
Guys, there are only 14 hours left until my nephew's surgery, and we desperately need your help. Please, please don't leave me alone. Please save me! Donate, donate! Don't leave me alone in this world suffering from this genocide. Please stand by me! Please donate, donate! 😭💔
every day it just concerns me how little compassion people have. no compassion for those living in the global south. no compassion for immigrants. no compassion for disabled ppl. no compassion for addicts. no compassion for prisoners. no compassion for children. like holy shit ...
i made a separate post about this but actually there are plenty of people cough white people who care about animals more than they ever do human people . not what i'm talking about make your own post
I don’t know if anyone will read this… or if my voice will disappear like everything else we lost.
My name is Suhaila, a mother of five children.
My daughter Mira is in a very critical condition, and every passing moment brings us closer to losing her if help does not arrive in time.
I hold her small hand, watch her struggle to breathe, and pray for one more chance for her life.
Please… act now. Silence is taking her away from me. Every moment without help brings us closer to losing her. I beg you from my heart, don’t scroll past—help us before it’s too late.
Every second matters. Any small donation can help save her life. Please don’t ignore us. Share this message, donate if you can. Your kindness could give my daughter a chance to live and see tomorrow
Every second now is precious, and every act of kindness could be the reason she survives.
I am not asking for anything impossible—just a chance for my daughter to live, to stay with her siblings, and to have a tomorrow.
Please do not ignore this message.
If you cannot donate, please share it.
Your compassion might be the reason Mira lives.
I beg you with all my heart, stop here – donate, share, choose compassion before this silence becomes my daughter’s end.
Thank you for listeningMy daughter is on the edge of death. Every passing second could cost her life.
Share, donate now, and don’t let silence steal her minutes. Your kindness can save her today.

Hamlet adaptation where Hamlet is a vlogger and all his soliloquies are breakdowns he uploads to YouTube
… I am unironically here for this
this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life
This is - legitimately - my favourite delivery of Shakespeare I have EVER seen (and I have seen some good-ass productions yo, in the Globe Theatre itself even). Like seriously, even though the words are unchanged, he’s stripped away ALL of the archaic pretense and assumed grandeur of ~presenting the bard~ that makes even the most wildly talented of actors and innovative of productions inherently inaccessible to a modern audience. Like, they’re still great, they can still communicate the message and (some) of the nuance, but they’re still always a step removed from being identifiable to any viewer’s lived experience. They’re still always reciting 15th century poetry. But this guy? This guy is like, screw iambic pentameter, to hell with being precious about the material, HOW WOULD AN ACTUAL PERSON SAY THIS SHIT?
Like this. And it’s beautiful. It’s beautiful to hear a soliloquy I loved so much already, and have it come to life in a way it never, ever, did before. I feel like I grasp his motivations, his twists and turns, no longer on an academic level but on a visceral, instinctive one. Because he’s presenting his mental and emotional journey in a way that speaks honestly, like a real person.
So yeah, this shit post? I love it. Deeply and sincerely.
A post about this went round recently, and I’m delighted to announce she’s since come out as trans and goes by Jasmine 🏳️⚧️

crazy how being disabled can force you to literally give up parts of your identity. disability restricts your ability to build relationships, to have hobbies, to work, express yourself, etc. all these things help make up who you are as a person, and it’s so much harder to authentically experience them when you’re physically unable to
your life is not an optimization problem
as in you'll never achieve the perfect daily routine, sleep schedule, coping mechanisms, mannerisms, fashion sense etc. even after years and years of healing and improvement and self-discovery. you will never be so good at life that you manage to utilize every waking moment. its great to be productive and all but sometimes you'll suck ass. sometimes you'll take eight hours to be done with a twenty minute job. you'll prioritize the wrong thing. you'll sleep for 12 hrs just to avoid being awake. you'll relapse. and you'll relapse again. you'll forget to turn in the assignment. you'll order too little food. life is far too large and complex for you to even experience it completely, much less try to make sense of and control it. you can't. please give up on that and be at peace with the hours you lose. they are not separate from your life.
Why Tumblr Has Rolled Out ID Verification
UK legislation: Online Safety Act 2023
Brazil legislation: Digital Statute For Children And Adolescents
Apple App Store Age Verification
These are not tumblr specific policies. Tumblr is implementing age verification in response to legislative moves that were made months ago.
Tumblr is a failing social media site that has escaped death multiple times already; they do not have the social cachet to defy state regulatory agencies. We know they won't say no to Apple, either--the porn ban on tumblr was in response to Apple's crackdown on explicit content.
If you did not know this was happening, you were behind the curve. That is fine. You're caught up now. The next step is to link up with people in your country who are working to preserve privacy, to roll back these laws where they exist, and to prevent their passage where they do not. In the US the organization you want is Stop KOSA--in the EU you can start with Fight Chat Control.
Repealing ID verification and blocking chat control will help everyone, especially the most vulnerable. We can push this back, but we cannot get it done through the Feedback form. We have to get it done at the legislative level and lock it down so it cannot be forced upon us. I see lots of anger out there. Good. Put it to use.
I see so many arguments over what is and isn't "good queer representation" that really just boil down to "y'all are actually arguing over matters of taste and genre preference, which is incredibly subjective and personal."
Worldbuilding where being queer is normalized and queerphobia has no impact on the plot? THAT'S FINE. Worldbuilding that includes queerphobia and tackles the effects of it as part of the story? THAT'S ALSO FINE.
Low-stakes queer romcom where the characters are fluffy and cute? THAT'S COOL. Messy queer drama with toxic people who fuck each other over and clash repeatedly? THAT'S ALSO COOL.
Stories that center the characters' queerness, show a trans character's transition, and are about the queerness as much as the rest of the plot? AWESOME. Stories where the characters' queerness isn't treated as a big deal, and have trans characters whose transition happened before the story entirely? ALSO AWESOME.
You may PREFER one thing or another, but it is actually good to have all these things. It's about variety. It's about queer characters being allowed to exist without censorship. It's about queer artists getting to make things without being told we're a "niche issue" or "adult content." It's about having as many goddamn cakes as the bakery can produce.
At the end of the day, I'd prefer a media landscape with fifty pieces of problematic queer representation over a media landscape with one single piece of queer representation that's trying (and usually failing) to be 100% perfect for everything and everyone.
Nasty and sophisticated scam: BEWARE of this!
If an email recently landed in your inbox with a subject line like "Pending charge of USD 987.90 for account activation. Questions? Call 855
Don’t get caught off guard by this. It’s quite a slick one.
What to actually do If you get one of these, the answer is boring and it works every time: Don't call the number. Don't reply. Don't click links in the email — not even the unsubscribe link. Open a fresh browser tab, type paypal.com yourself, and log into your account. Check your activity. You'll see either nothing, or a tiny incoming payment from a stranger that you can ignore. Then forward the original email as an attachment to [email protected] and delete it. If you want to go a step further, report the phone number to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov — every report makes it slightly harder for these operations to keep running. And if you've already called? Don't beat yourself up — these scams are designed by professionals to fool smart people. Hang up, run a malware scan if you installed anything they asked you to install, change your PayPal and bank passwords from a different device, and call your bank's real fraud line (the number on the back of your card) to flag your accounts. Move fast, but you don't need to panic.
from the above linked article. For the UK the email to forward phishing scams to is [email protected], texts can be forwarded on to 7726 (for free!) and as a victim of fraud you can report it here (or here for Scotland)
— If an email recently landed in your inbox with a subject line like "Pending charge of USD 987.90 for account activation. Questions? Call (855) 629-1161" — don't call that number. Don't click anything. And whatever you do, don't panic-dial to "stop the charge."
You're being targeted by one of the cleverest scams going right now, and the reason it works is uncomfortable: the email genuinely came from PayPal.
The trick is in the subject line, not the email
When most people think "phishing email," they picture sketchy senders, broken English, and links to weird domains. This scam is the opposite. The email passes every authenticity check — SPF, DKIM, DMARC, all green. It comes from PayPal's actual mail servers. The fonts are right. The footer is right. The unsubscribe link works. If you forwarded it to a security expert and asked "is this really from PayPal?" they'd have to say yes.
So how is it a scam?
Scammers have figured out that PayPal lets anyone send small amounts of money to anyone else, and that PayPal will dutifully email the recipient a notification. The scammer sends you a payout of, say, one Hungarian forint — about a quarter of a cent. PayPal's system then automatically generates and sends you a real, legitimate, fully-authenticated email confirming the transaction.
Here's the catch: the email's subject line is whatever the scammer typed when they set up the payout. PayPal doesn't sanitize it. So they write something terrifying like "Pending charge of USD 987.90 — call this number with questions" and PayPal's servers cheerfully deliver that subject line straight to your inbox, wrapped in a perfectly legitimate-looking notification.
The actual transaction in the email body is for 1 forint. There is no $987.90 charge. There never was. But by the time most people read carefully enough to notice that, they've already dialed the number. —
