So uh, my blog dedicated to my FREAK (positive) was pretty outdated! So I wanted to change that! I'm working on updating stuff as I go, so I'll redo my introduction post!

I'm Beldril, a non-binary trainer with a huge interest in pokemon! Like a huge hyperfixation.

I own one pokemon as of writing, a Litten. Her name is Cuddles and she is a MENACE. I battle with her so she spares me for another day (this is all in a positive tone, no she isn't staring me down while I write this I AM OKAY I SWEAR)

i follow a theme for all of my pokémon (ex: cupcake and smoothie)

i base it off of their appearance (ex: pinky and fuzzy)

i base it off of their species name (ex: bulba and charm)

i name them after people (ex: bart and samantha)

i choose name otherwise relevant to the specific pokemon (ex: buzz and godzilla)

i choose completely random names (ex: peeko and bleebus)

other (tag it)

i don't name my pokémon

i've never had a pokémon

I fucking hate when people say stuff like this. Especially when it's on a generally good post with valuable information. On the one hand I want to share that information because it could genuinely help someone; on the other, I don't want to spread this type of guilt-tripping and shaming and potentially trigger someone else like me. It's a lose-lose situation. No matter what I do, I am going to feel guilty. No matter what I do, I will feel like a terrible person. It sucks and I just wish people would stop doing this. I know it's shocking, but it is actually possible to make an important and useful post without guilting everyone that sees it into sharing.

This^ Especially when they include threats to unfollow/block people who don’t reblog. If someone you follow or a mutual reblogs something like that I’m genuinely scared that they might block me for not reblogging (when I don’t want to because I find it manipulative). Also since I’m autistic (buy one neurodivergence get two free) I’m unsure of the social protocol around it which just strengthens my discomfort and anxiety.
