Theodore breathed a sigh of relief as the ship docked in Port Royal’s harbour.

There was a scramble to get off, and an unconscious James Norrington was quickly carried off the town Physician. Sweet mercy, please let him live.

It had been a disaster trying to get back to Port Royal after James had been injured. A beastly member of Jones’ crew had stabbed him, and James was hanging by a thread. What do you think about the headcanon of genderfluid!Elizabeth? Do you have some headcanons of your own?

Hmmm I’ve never really thought about Elizabeth as being gender fluid before but I can totally see how that comes across. She definitely does not enjoy being dressed and treated like a traditional woman and that’s something that seems to be a permanent feature in her personality, but then again we only ever see her dressing and presenting completely as a male once in the series. So she could perhaps be non binary and see herself as somewhere in between? However I feel like she doesn’t identify entirely with either female or male, as where I feel like Ragetti (who I’ve always Headcanoned as gender fluid) identifies as both male and female.

Theodore smiled, and pulled a chair towards James. Andrew was right. James had always been the more stronger out of the group, and even now, with a face as white as death, he was still attempting to look well for them.

“We’re just glad to see you awake. We were so worried!” Theodore said. He straightened the blanket covering James, and bit his lip.

James chuckled weakly. “You’re a pair of Mother Hens.”

“Well, I believe it’s warranted behavior, wouldn’t you say?” Andrew replied, managing a small smile. “You gave us a terrible fright, you know. I don’t know what Teddy and I would have done had if you hadn’t pulled through.”

Nursing of Norrington.

Theodore breathed a sigh of relief as the ship docked in Port Royal’s harbour.

There was a scramble to get off, and an unconscious James Norrington was quickly carried off the town Physician. Sweet mercy, please let him live.

It had been a disaster trying to get back to Port Royal after James had been injured. A beastly member of Jones’ crew had stabbed him, and James was hanging by a thread. The officers had patched him up as best they could, but they had no medical experience. It was better he was here, being seen by a proper doctor.

Theodore glanced over at Andrew Gillette, a fellow Lieutenant, and his closest friend. “He will be fine,” he said. “Won’t he?”

He followed after the test of the crew, and went after the Physician and James. Most of the officers had dispersed, and only a few remained.

“Go now,” fussed Doctor Havel. “I must have peace and quiet. You too—“ here he pointed to Theodore and Andrew. “You can stay, but no more!”

Theodore nodded gratefully, and sat down. He could only hope James would pull through.

“James has always been a fighter.” Gillette answered his dear friend as Norrington was taken in to be seen by the doctor. Truthfully, he said it to reassure himself as well. James had been terribly wounded, and this time, Andrew wasn’t certain that he would survive. It was an awful prospect, the thought of going on without James Norrington. They had been the closest of friends ever since childhood. Gillette sat down next to Groves to wait for more news on their injured comrade. “We’ve done all that we can.” He told the other officer. “He’s in God’s hands now. All that’s left for us to do is to hope and pray.”

Theodore knew Andrew was right, of course, but he still worried. He had always been a worrier, ever since he had to watch his dear mother and father die at thirteen, so seeing anyone injured, especially a close friend of his, set his nerves on edge.

The minutes ticked by slowly (painfully), and Theodore’s back was stiff as he sat, tense, waiting for news.

He wrung his hands. Oh, what was taking so long? Surely the longer the doctor took the more serious it all was!

He closed his eyes. The silence became suffocating, and he wished for something to break it. An hour passed, maybe more, and the door to the right of the Officers opened.

Theodore was on his feet in an instance. The doctor scrutinised the two men.

“He will be fine.” He said, before Theodore could even open his mouth.

Relief spread across the brunet’s face. He couldn’t stop the smile that broke free.

Jack lived his entire life with his mother and other sirens, now that he had turned 18, he had to complete his rite of passage; lure a sailor into the sea and drown him, his first kill. He didn’t take the task lightly, so his choice fell on a handsome pirate with fiery red hair: Hector Barbossa. Yesss, you’re gorgeous, Jack thought as he swam up to Hector’s ship and began to sing, waiting for Hector to follow the lure of a siren’s song and throw himself into the water and into Jack’s open arms. “Come my love, be one with the sea,” Jack sang, playing on Hector’s love for the ocean. “Rule with me for eternity…”

Barbossa was convinced that he was dreaming. Or he must have been, as he no longer seemed to have control of himself, and somewhere, not so far off into the distance, there was the loveliest voice. It seemed as though the words were wrapping tightly around his being, pulling him along through the pleasant fogginess. Then before he could think for himself again or make any attempt to hurl himself back from the grip of the angelic song, he found that he was falling off of the edge of the ship and crashing into the blue of the vast Caribbean Sea.

“Beautiful,” Jack murmured as he held the stunned man in his arms. Just as he was about to pull Barbossa underwater, there was shouting on deck of the ship and a shot rang out, hitting Jack on the shoulder. He let out a pained scream but held onto Barbossa with an iron grip, which resulted in them both being pulled onto the weatherdeck. His spell broken, Jack was furious and hissed at the pirates staring at his naked form as he lay, bleeding, on the deck.

As soon as Barbossa had come out of the fog of the spell set upon him by the creature, he hurried to his feet and was helped out of the way by a few of his crew men. “Beast!” He shrieked at the hissing monster that lay bleeding on the deck. “The blaggard tried to drown me!” He shoved the concerned crew away from him then and drew his sword from its scabbard around his belt. “What be ye, slimy sea devil!?” He demanded of the humanoid creature, pressing the tip of his blade to its neck. “Speak or I’ll gut ye like a fish!”
