@customrunning
why am i dressed slutty you ask? to read classic literature alone in my room. mind your own business.
Me waiting patiently for Halloween 🎃🐈⬛🎃
hi ! i've recently felt very, very called to deity work and felt that i was being reached out to, (through symbols and dreams that have been really strange and out of the ordinary for me) so i attempted a deity id spread and was wondering if anyone could help ? it feels like a pretty coherent spread and i have a few ideas, but im well aware of confirmation bias and would really like a second opinion:) any input or guidance would be super appreciated !!<3
the spread:
1: deity
2: qualities / traits associated.
3. qualities / traits associated
4. what the deity rules over
5. symbols or things the deity is associated with
what i got:
1: the lovers
2: 9 of wands
3: 8 of wands
4: page of swords
5: 8 of swords
sounds a lot like milda! she’s the baltic goddess of love, freedom, and relationships (both romantic and platonic), among other things.
the lovers would definitely be a representation of her, while the nine of wands would represent how she reigns over setting boundaries and healthy independence. eight of wands could be how she would encourage communication, asking for what you want, and being aligned with others and yourself. page of swords is pretty easy- healthy communication, being proactive and taking initiative, being curious, freedom and liberation, etc etc. and the eight of swords does seem a little scary, but i think the idea is her being the enemy of imprisonment and loneliness. the bound woman is not the symbol she is associated with being as much as it is the symbol she is associated with opposing.
probably not the popular answer you were looking for, but that’s just who i immediately thought of!
thank u so much !! tbh i havent heard of her before but now im really intrigued so thank u so much for your help ! its been super insightful:))

Quick note: Do not work with deities from closed cultures if you’re not from said culture. It’s not cool, everybody.
Card One: Introductions
Fairly straightforward. This card is the deity introducing themself. This is the stage where you should verify and make certain you know who you’re working with.
Card Two: Shaking Hands
This card represents the deity’s first impression of you. What energy are you bringing to the table? What do they see when they look into you?
Card Three: Have We Met?
Has this deity had their eye(s) on you? Is this their first time you’ve piqued their interest, or have they hung around since childhood? Some deities may refuse to answer this question or redirect.
Card Four: The Nature
The general tone of your relationship. This is a general feeling that both you and the deity bring to the table.
Card Five: Before I Go…
What advice or wisdom does the deity have to impart on you? This could be a nod of encouragement, a stern talking to, or even just a casual shrug.
Card Six: In The End
The ultimate outcome of the relationship you’re seeking with this deity. Like the first card, fairly self explanatory.
Hey all! This is the first custom tarot spread I’m posting online! I might do more of these in the future! I’m super nervous, and I hope this is helpful to somebody out there. Have a good one!

Julian Blackthorn
I vote for Manu Rios as Julian Blackthorn
Yes!!! It didn’t dawn on me until his skin was described as “pale” later in the books that he was white. I always envisioned him as hispanic, and exactly like this
Jem Carstairs x Tessa Gray (the infernal devices)
“Forty-nine thousand, two hundred and seventy-five days since I last kissed you,” he said. “And I thought of you every single one of them. You do not have to remind me of the Tessa I loved. You were my first love and you will be my last one. I have never forgotten you. I have never not thought of you.”
He was always my favorite for Jem!! Plus he looks so good as a blond
I don’t think anything fucks me up like the fact that one day Alec and Jem will both be dead and Tessa will be sitting on the couch with Magnus crying together
...why’d you have to go and do that:(
I hate the attitude of viewing female characters as a “we”. NO. THERE IS NO WE HERE. I AM NOT EVERY WOMAN EVERY WOMAN IS NOT ME. Don’t go into every goddamn movie expecting to come out feeling “empowered”, that’s not what movies (or any media for that matter) are for! They’re for telling interesting stories and making us feel for fictional characters. Having every female character be a whiny, weak damsel who needs to be rescued all the time is annoying yes, but what’s just as annoying is having every female character be a stone cold badass with little to no personality beyond “She’s tough and snarky and won’t take your shit” because everyone will lose their fuckin minds if you allow them even the slightest bit of weakness! Write female characters like human beings and not tools of empowerment or role models because those are BORING.
I’ve never related so much to a character in my entire life
AHHHHH I can’t wait to meet Anna and see her interactions with all the characters from TID!!!
Kit’s Mom
Kit’s mother is the Shadowhunter, not Johnny Rook.
“She’d thought he was Rook’s assistant, though, not his son. They looked nothing alike.” (Lady Midnight, page 379).
That’s why she’s absent but somehow still important.
That’s why the demons easily killed Johnny Rook when Kit was able to fight back.
Does it ever even really confirm that Johnny was his biological dad to begin with? Could his parents have been completely different people?
Throne of Glass Villains

unidentified snippet
Jace rose to his feet. “I nominate Alexander Lightwood for the position of Consul.”
I think we may need to start planning Jace’s funeral, because I bet Alec will want to kill his parabatai for this. I don’t think anything bad will happen to Jia, but after she lost such control of the last Clave meeting I’m not sure there is a lot of confidence left in her ability to lead. If the Cohorts actions put the downworlder alliance in jeapordy, Alec would be a really good choice (might be the only choice) to hold the alliance together. And the Clave now has a war with faerie with their weapons and runes failing…can they really afford to lose any more allies?
I just realized: Why is this ‘unidentified snippet’? Why isn’t this marked QoAD snippet?
Because it may not be a QoAD snippet
The Wicked Powers??
AHHHHHHHH
Christopher Herondale
“He let the shirt fall and grabbed a Tupperware container of cookies out of the fridge. Maybe he could frustrate the Shadowhunters by refusing to work out and sitting around eating carbs. I defy you, Shadowhunters, he thought, thumbing the top off the container and popping a cookie in his mouth. I mock you with my sugar cravings.”
