Vimm's Lair: Preserving the Classics

Preserving classic videogames from consoles past.

I'm just gonna slide this on in here for anyone that is interested in preserving old games. They take it very seriously too, they want an archive of every single game. Like, they have lists of every game ever released for a system, and once that system gets old enough, they add it to their archive and start collecting. Their latest addition was the Xbox 360, they opened that vault up in September 2022, and proudly announced they'd finished their collection of games for it back in April.

Also, while their game archives are almost entirely complete, they've got another project of archiving the manuals that came with those games, and that is... considerably less well filled out. Their collection of Xbox 360 manuals is especially rough, they've only gotten manuals for three games. So if you've got some Xbox 360 games kicking around, and the manual's still with them, please consider scanning them and submitting them to the site!

Game preservation is important, but people rarely consider preserving the manuals as well; I really respect Vimm's Lair for being so thorough in their archival work.

How Dating Dabi Would Be Like

The biggest walking red flag known to mankind. 

When you first meet him, he is toxic and violent, lashing out and refusing to let anyone in. After some time, he begins to open up revealing little pieces of his past to his “partner” 

He refuses to label your relationship because he sees it as an act of vulnerability. Deep down he doesn’t want to get tangle in with someone that he knows will only end up getting hurt. He ignores his feelings and acts like there’s nothing there, but on late nights he can’t stop the rush he gets when seeing your smile and listening to your laugh. 

He’s definitely the type of guy to never use your door and to always go through the window. He fits perfectly into the bad boy boyfriend who is too good for the door kinda vibe. 

He’s loyal to you because he doesn’t talk to many people. His social group is shortened to less than ten people. Your the only person he talks to the most, the others are either from work or victims that he’s harmed. 

He won’t be clingy at first because his whole life lacked of it, but once he gets the feel for affection he’s addicted to it. Every time he is with you he has his hands on you and is feeling all around enjoying the feeling of you. Sometimes at night, he’ll reach out and hold you just to feel that your there and not some sick joke his imagination made up. 

When he starts getting comfortable in the relationship, he’ll refer to you as his partner only in his mind though. He expects everyone else to know that your his. When some guy hits on you he snaps and ends his life, refusing to have some other guy taking what’s his. 

He used to refuse to lay in bed with you until you forced him to stay with you after finding out he was sleeping on the couch at the league. So now after work he comes to your place and sleeps in your bed which worked out since he’s a portable heater. 

When his staples get undone, he has you help replace them as it’s hard for him to do it himself. He sits in your apartment bathroom while you reapply the staples humming to white girl music that plays off your phone. 

At first he refused to kiss you as he thought it was pointless for someone who wouldn’t be sticking around for long. The more you stayed with him though the more he couldn’t help but keep staring at your lips. When he finally kisses you, he gets addicted. It was electric, sparks shooting all throughout him making him feel human for once. Every time he sees you he cups your face and kisses you so deep that it takes your breath away.

pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
