“Welcome back, young Midoriya” Toshinori said when he meet with the boy the night 1-A students step in the dorms, he had wanted so bad to give his boy a big embrace the moment he saw him, ending with him holding himself when young Iida ran to Izuku and young Uraraka, tears in his eyes as he shouted them (mostly the other boy) for being the danger they just were. It was heartwarming seeing the teenagers greeting and complaining to each other, so Toshinori left them be.
Still, now, when all the celebrating thing had ending, it was his turn to scowl and hug his student, Aizawa helping him with taking Izuku away from the common room to the outside, where the former hero was waiting him.
“Glad to be back, All Might!” He gave a tiny and formal smile, taking Toshinori’s hand without breaking eye contact. Aizawa grumbled something and turned away, vanishing in the dark.
Izuku and Toshinori looked at each other, hands freezes in the air, leaves falling and the moon brightened them.
There was a beat, and then Toshinori pulled forward Izuku’s hand to the blonde chest, pushing to him the hero student and wrapping his arms around the boy’s back, one hand coming to his curls and other to his lower back.
“Damnit, Izuku” he whispered in the kid’s ear “I was so worried” he heard sobs, hands coming to his suit “That was a crazy mission” Toshinori sniffled, rocking Izuku’s head and caressing his back. “You did great, kiddo, you did great” hiding his face for a moment, he pushed slightly away from the green haired boy, who was sobbing, slurred words escaping his mouth alongside with whimpers.
Toshinori wiped the tears, both hands scoping his kid’s cheeks while Izuku gripped his wrist. He leaned forward, kissing Izuku’s face, all his face. Wet met wet, lips touching his forehead and cheeks and nose and all, all the solid and wet skin that screamed ‘i'm alive’, and damn if he was alive.
They embraced again, Toshinori breathing over Izuku and the kid doing it in the former hero's chest. Once they calmed down, and after some more kissing and rocking, the younger boy said the most compressible thing since the hug.
“Thanks” he whispered, looking at him and smiling, and Toshinori didn’t know if it was for the embrace, the affection, or who knows what, but he took it, smiling and ruffling the green curls. “I missed you”
“Missed you too, my prince of nonsense”
