Things to consider when someone hurts us: 1. Were they aware that what they did was going to hurt us? 2. Did they hurt us out of ignorance? • • • If they hurt us out of ignorance chances are they will change their behavior when we inform them that they hurt us. On the other hand, when someone hurts us knowingly and/or on purpose they will continue behaving in hurtful ways. Changed behavior is the only “I’m sorry” that can be taken seriously. Let them show us what actions they are taking to better themselves. Protect your heart. Offenders are either good or evil.
