Research Paper Revisions
I'm currently not having any issues with my Research Paper and the revisions. It's all pretty simple and laid out. I think that its a lot of work, but its all simple tasks to complete. Most of the comments were already responded to, so i just have to add those in and fix a few more things. I do believe that one thing I should work on is making my paper flow better using transitions.
Research Paper Revisions
I am not really struggling with much of anything on my research paper. I have a few easy fixes, but other than that nothing to hard to fix. The one thing I could’ve done better was that I had two separate paragraphs that could have been joined together to make one long paragraph. I guess maybe I should re-read that part to see if that can be fixed to sound better!

CSW Reflection
I thought it was pretty cool. I enjoyed myself. It was hot in the auditorium, as Erica said. I thought a lot of the projects were unique and I enjoyed seeing them. A lot of people only glanced at our projects, but that was most definitely fine with me. As long as my project was on the table and got viewed I felt good. I like that we got to interact a lot more with each other as well as other people in different classes. It was a fun experience, and the 30 minutes went by fast. It wasn't as bad as i assumed it would be at all. I enjoyed the interest others showed. Everyone's projects were great, in my opinion. Nothing negative to say about this event. Good job English 121'sss!

My CSW experience was hot. The room kept getting hotter and hotter. But beside the hotness, I thought it was a cool thing to do. I talk to people that I have not talked to before. Everyone that I saw just glanced at our projects and walked away. I kind of felt like I did not need to be there but it was fun for the half hour I was there.
It was a fun experience, I agree! Glad you enjoyed.

I feel this song represent my hometown because in my eyes that’s all I see in Detroit. Everyone is trying to get money. People will do whatever it takes to get money. Everyone wants to be on top & show what they have. I think it’s because a lot of people doubt us so we want to prove them wrong. For the CSW sessions I think each one of us could bring in coffee grinds and put them in a separate jar. When people pass by to read them we could tell them each jar represents a different genre that can be told and explained to them.

I agree with half my classmates about the map thing for our table. Seeing the marks of the different locations, ( as Erica and Kara stated ) might draw the audience of the CSW in if they see their hometown or even a location they want to visit. For example, some may want to visit the Horton town that one of my classmates did their research on, and they may not know that its a small city. So they may come to the project to do a bit of "research" by going to my classmates project.

I really liked what one of you guys said about the United States map. I think that would be a really cool idea. I think we should mark where we are all from. And the map of the united states is probably too big to make so if maybe we did just the states that we are all from and then star where our hometowns are.
that sounds like a good idea :) we should have the states that everyone is from, and highlight the cities that we are from on the map.

E-M Journal Response
For the journal response, I chose to read the article Converse Chuck Taylors: A Personal Artifact written by Sarah Brethen. Chuck's are pretty popular in Detroit. I love them, so I thought this article may be interesting. She reminded me of myself, how I would get the same pair of shoes over and over. Also was quick to tear them up, lol. I wasn't expecting Sarah to talk about the same pair of shoes. I actually thought she was going to speak about the shoes in General, like what she liked about them, etc. But the article was interesting and I did enjoy reading it.
In the beginning, I noticed she said they were a pair of knock off Chucks. I like how she didn't let that affect her, and that she wore them anyway. Now a days, people don't wear "Non-Name Brand" things because they don't want to appear as "Broke." But I also liked how she said she fixed them up and made them pretty for her, starting a trend.
Would have NEVER thought I'd read a story about 4 pairs of shoes and that it would actually be interesting, or worth reading!

Important source
My most important source was my super-intendant. I interviewed him during break and he has known me since kindergarten so him and I have great relationship. He was important because he was one of the people in charge of producing this project. He’s the man in charge of it all and he was full of information.
I think it was a very smart idea to interview someone you knew for a long time. Obviously, from your presentation today, he gave a lot of helpful information!

I think this may be one of the most important sources because it gives a lot of detail. It tells you history about Detroit, how some of the downfall may have started, etc. It's just a real informational resource.
