I used this website, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanover-Horton_High_School, as a source in my paper. Even through it’s a Wikipedia website I found the information on it was useful for my research plus the information seem to be creditable.
Hanover and Horton schools joined together to become Hanover-Horton in 1958. The towns had their own school before this time, because each town was booming and having their own schools worked bested for both towns and the students. Then the two towns start to shrink in their population which affected both schools so the two schools emerged to become Hanover-Horton.
This information on this website of the history part was very useful in my research. The information gives me an answer for why the two schools emerged together, because the decrease in the towns’ population and schools’ population. This help me draw the conclusion for my answer to my question that having two schools is possible since both towns’ populations have increased in the past couple of years and the school’s population has increased too.
My opposing statement is: There are some people within or out of the two communities that do not find that having two separate schools is necessary, nor would it help the towns’ economy.
I do believe that instead of building two different schools Hanover-Horton School could just build on to the current school building. The size of the building as of right now is too small to hold all its students.
