Something neuroscience-y that helps with prose: attention is selective. A character will not notice everything in a room. They will notice what matters to their goal, fear, desire, training, wound, or obsession. A jealous character notices hands. a hungry character notices food. A soldier notices exits. A lonely character notices pairs. Description becomes character when attention has a bias.
You even imply you like an outsiders ship and they string you up and drain your blood and kill you and yell in your face and kill you and call you a faggot and kill your family and then they call themselves something like dallas winstons pillow princess
People across all classes and ethnicities seem to lack a genuine sense of curiosity or interest in women's lived experiences. Few people want to know what it feels like to be a professional woman in any field. Even in fiction, there are very few opportunities for women to be whoever they want to be.
For example, hardly anyone wants to read about the daily life of a single mother raising a quirky child, while we can find plenty of manga and comics about single fathers, both gay and straight.
Even many women seem more interested in imagining the experiences of male protagonists than exploring the perspectives of women whose lives differ from their own.

The Sins of Angels - Chapter 14
The only reason that Soda’s eyes are still open when he hits Florida is because of the bump he did off of his finger two hours ago. He’s had a laser straight focus, likely a combination from the drugs and the fact that Tim was literally going to kill him the next time he saw him. His veins had never burned like this, they’d never burned with the urge to run. For most of his childhood, he’d never had the urge to move away from Tulsa. He’d always wanted everything to stay exactly as it was. But it seemed life had other plans as everything crumbled around him. The one thing he’d always thought he’d be able to control was also taken from him as he was drafted and thrown into another country.
A piece of Soda was relieved that he’d finally come to terms with what his ghosts seemed to want. He was finally ready to run and keep moving. He’d been doing it all his life, the only difference was that now he was choosing to run.
He stares out the window at Milton Florida wondering just what Sandy saw when she drove on these streets. Was it home? Did it hurt? Was she filled with dread? Or just a resigned understanding? He couldn’t even imagine the things she’d been through in this town.
Soda had always had this fantasy of being a savior for Sandy, even back in his younger days. He’ll admit that it was stupid, that he was kidding himself thinking a girl like that would even want to be saved, let alone by someone like him but now he lets himself indulge in the fantasy once again. He was taking her away from a person and place that had hurt her, it was only now that he realized she was doing the same for him. Since they’d gotten back together, he’d had this idea that they’d been saving each other but he was dead wrong. What they’d really been doing was killing each other, it only felt safe because they both liked that brand of violence.
