I was looking through a ton of concept art and they considered giving Lou an eyepatch to mirror Ox. Neat that they were connected even in the early stages of production. I wonder what the story behind losing his eye was. I went to sketch it, blinked, and now it's rendered oops.

This is my first time posting my art here :p

I tried to recreate the portrait of Lou that we can see in the movie with the little we were shown of his mansion (I had to change his pants to the ones he wears in the movie because I don't really know how to paint the plaid pattern 💧) / Trate de recrear el retrato de Lou que podemos ver en la pelicula con lo poco que se nos enseño de su mansion (le tuve que cambiar el pantalon por el que usa en la pelicula porque no se muy bien como pintar el patron de cuadros 💧)

Random Thought:

Even now, I’m still wondering how Moxy believed in the Big World when everyone else doesn’t? And where exactly did they all hear it from…?

My explanation in my very first fic, wasn’t even an explanation. It was just a half-baked exposition bc I didn’t have much going on for the fan series at the time.

But… imagine if Ox was the very reason they have an idea of the Big World? Lmao.

Two possible scenario of how it happened:

1) He talks in his sleep and would dream about everything that happened before Uglyville.

2) He got drunk and vaguely told his whole origin story, and he had to tell everyone who was with him that night that he was hallucinating from the drinks.

Ofc the movie itself wouldn’t promote alcoholic drinks, but imagine something similar just so I can say: “Moxy became a problem all because Ox got too drunk.” 🤣

Tbh I thought it was a piece of information all dolls knew since they first "came to life", but by peer pressure decided to ignore. In movie logic it's just convenient for the plot and that's it, but reading these explanations also make sense, and plus they're infinitely funnier xD Imagine Ox casually venting while drunk and the other dolls are like: ????
