attempting to explain to your mother that she may, at some point in her life, have made a non-optimal decision

#ive given up trying at this point #if i ever say that maybe #just maybe #grabbing me shaking me and yelling in my face is perhaps not the best thing to do when im overstimulated/having a meltdown #she immediately starts talking about how much of a terrible mother she must be #and i must hate her so much #and then all of a sudden i have to put all this energy into helping her feel better about it #and then it happens again #it makes me sad #because i know shes been through a lot of shit #and i understand why it may be difficult for her to deal with me sometimes #and shes a little better now after therapy #or atleast she thinks she is #but all i can think is “why couldn't you do this for me sooner?”#idk #vent
