WHAT THE FUCK
Bruce Wayne: I’m not a criminal like you Black Mask:
Batman beyond doodles!
His excuses for why he can't be arrested keep getting sillier and sillier.
(Blue Beetle Vol 1 006)
More Fun Comics #77 - "Doom Over Gayland" (1942)
written by Mort Weisinger art by George Papp
Batman #263 - "Riddler on the Move!" (1975)
written by Dennis O'Neil art by Ernie Chan & Dick Giordano
You know what would be fun? More “Danny’s whole family knew from the start” aus. Maddie and Jack doing their best to help Danny with mixed results, completely overhauling their research, Jack, Maddie, and Jazz being more vocal on how Phantom is doing his best. Jazz freaking out more about how her little brother is in danger every fight and how this could possibly affect his psyche. Maddie getting both of her children to learn Karate after seeing one to many sloppy fights. Jack and Maddie teaching Tucker about their technology that runs on ecto and whatnot. Jack and Maddie making obstacle courses and a training room for Danny to help fine tune his powers. Jack and Maddie talking to Sam about the accident, and Jazz popping in once in a while for Sam to let her know that an accident is called an accident for a reason. How could any of them know that this could happen?
It would be fun to explore more you know?
this but also none of the ghosts know Maddie and Jack know. Vlad tries to use Danny’s “secret” against him, and Danny calls his bluff of ratting him out to his parents. Danny instantly tells his parents that Vlad is also a halfa and then they have to deal with how their negligence and lack of lab safety killed TWO people they cherish and love dearly.
What’s also an interesting turn this au could take is this: Jack and Maddie know, but they’re waiting for Danny to tell them. They keep it a secret that they know because they don’t want Danny to be uncomfortable. The only problem? They’re HORRIBLE at keeping secrets.
They’re painfully obvious about helping Phantom and redoing all their research and when Danny asks they half ass some answer about seeing all viewpoints and maybe ghosts are conscious and needing counterpoints and stuff. Danny, however, is oblivious as fuck, which we’ve seen many times in canon. He does NOT catch on. Jazz, however, does. And she keeps trying to hint to Danny that They Know and he just Doesn’t Catch On.
*Insert that Spiderman meme*
So, we see a lot of "DComics exists in Danny's world and he knows about the Batfam".
And I raise this:
"Danny Phantom exists in the DC universe and Damian knows a lot about Danny because he was forced to watch a cartoon by Richard. Who loved the show."
So, Danny ends up in the DC universe (bad reveal or something else - your pick). He knows about this place. He is an avid fan. He is a little confused at first about what version this is (a mix. It's a mix of favourites) but otherwise he's having fun.
That is, until Robin pulls the stunt where he comes upto him and speaks to.him about things he really shouldn't know????

summer rain. redrew parts of an old drawing
BONUS:
he did that on purpose. bonus bonus:
Prompt: Danger? Where?
Danny joins Young Justice (how idk but I would guess chaos) and due to being in constant excessive danger due to all the ghosts, hunters, and his previous home security, tends not to notice things below a certain danger level.
Example:
Danny: *walks over a trip wire, around a pressure plate, ducks under a laser, and continues on completely oblivious*
YJ member behind him: *trips on the wire, causes a cascade of activated traps and barely makes it out* phantom! Why didn’t you tell me about the trip wire?!
Phantom: There was a trip wire???? *genuine confusion*
M’gann: I can tell you are genuinely confused but how did you miss the wire? *baffled*
Danny also forgets to warn his teammates of certain things, like a laser being shot from their flank etc.
Scene: First Contact (a.k.a. This Could Have Been Avoided)
Crime Alley is too quiet.
Jason doesn’t like that.
It’s the kind of quiet that means people are watching. Waiting. Holding their breath.
For him.
Or—
Jason’s grip tightens on his helmet.
—for the idiot currently standing in the middle of the street, arguing with a broken vending machine.
“…I know you have snacks in there,” the guy says, jabbing a finger at the glass. “Don’t play with me. I can hear them.”
Jason stares.
That’s him.
Danny Fenton.
The so-called “civilian.”
The one who’s been getting shot at for weeks and somehow not dying.
The one Crime Alley refuses to talk about.
The one everyone’s protecting.
The one wearing—
Jason squints.
—is that a NASA hoodie?
Jason has questions.
A lot of questions.
None of them include whatever the hell this is.
“Turn around.”
The words cut clean through the alley.
Danny freezes.
Slowly—slowly—he turns.
His eyes flick up.
Take in the helmet. The stance. The guns.
Recognition flashes.
“Oh,” Danny says.
Beat.
“…crap.”
Jason steps forward, boots heavy against pavement.
“Name.”
Danny blinks.
“Uh… Danny?”
“Last name.”
“…Fenton?”
Jason tilts his head.
Like he’s cataloguing.
Weighing.
Deciding.
“Funny,” he says flatly. “That’s not what people call you around here.”
Danny frowns.
“…What do people call me?”
Jason raises a gun.
Not firing.
Just—there.
A statement.
“Red Hood.”
Danny stares.
Then laughs.
Actually laughs.
“Okay—no. No, that’s—that’s funny. Good joke. Solid delivery. Little threatening, but—”
“I’m not joking.”
Danny stops.
The smile drops.
“…you’re serious.”
Jason doesn’t move.
“Why are you using my name.”
There’s a beat.
A long one.
Danny looks at him.
Then points at himself.
“…your name?”
Jason cocks the gun.
“Don’t play dumb.”
“I’m not playing—what are you talking about??”
“The name. The territory. The pattern.”
Jason steps closer.
“You show up when I do. You take the same fights. You protect the same people.”
Another step.
“You shoot like me.”
Danny looks deeply offended.
“Okay first of all—rude. I shoot better than you, I just don’t brag about it.”
Jason pauses.
That was not the response he expected.
“…you what.”
Danny waves a hand.
“That’s not the point! What do you mean your name?? I’ve never called myself Red Hood in my life!”
Jason goes very still.
“…you expect me to believe that.”
“Yes?? Because it’s true??”
Danny gestures wildly.
“I don’t even have a name thing! I just—exist!”
“That’s not how this works.”
“Well it should be!”
Jason lowers the gun a fraction.
Not enough to be safe.
Enough to be thinking.
“…then why are people treating you like you are.”
Danny opens his mouth.
Closes it.
“…okay, see, that’s been bothering me too.”
Jason stares.
Danny throws his hands up.
“I thought it was, like, a ghost thing! You know—wrong place, wrong time, spooky vibes, maybe I accidentally offended a cult—”
“You’re being targeted by assassins.”
“I noticed!”
“They’re not using anti-meta weapons.”
“I NOTICED THAT TOO!”
Danny points at him accusingly.
“That’s the weird part! Where’s the theme?? Where’s the consistency?? If you’re gonna try to kill me, at least commit to the aesthetic!”
Jason blinks.
Once.
“…the aesthetic.”
“Yes!”
Danny paces now, animated.
“I’m used to ghosts, okay? There’s rules. Drama. Personal vendettas. These guys? Just—bang bang, die. No personality!”
Jason is… re-evaluating.
Everything.
“…you’re telling me,” he says slowly, “you’re not Red Hood.”
“Yes!”
“And you don’t know why people think you are.”
“YES.”
“And you don’t know why you’re being targeted.”
“EXACTLY.”
Jason studies him.
Hard.
The stance.
The breathing.
The eyes.
No flinch.
No fear.
Just frustration.
“…you got shot yesterday,” Jason says.
Danny shrugs.
“Yeah, and? I got better.”
Jason’s grip tightens.
“You what.”
“I mean, not like—” Danny gestures vaguely. “—better better. Just, you know. Walked it off.”
“You walked off a bullet wound.”
“Yeah?”
“…how.”
Danny freezes.
Oh.
Oh no.
“…uh.”
Jason steps forward.
Slow.
Dangerous.
“Explain.”
Danny smiles.
Badly.
“Well! You see! Funny story—”
A shot rings out.
Both of them move.
Jason turns, firing twice—precise, controlled.
Danny—
vanishes.
Not ducks.
Not dodges.
Gone.
Jason whips back around.
Nothing.
Then—
“Behind you.”
Jason spins—
Danny’s there.
Completely fine.
No blood.
No wound.
No anything.
Jason stares.
“…you didn’t move.”
“I did.”
“You disappeared.”
Danny winces.
“…define disappeared.”
Jason raises the gun again.
Slower this time.
More careful.
More certain.
“You’re not human.”
Danny exhales.
“…okay, wow, rude.”
“Answer the question.”
Danny hesitates.
Looks at the gun.
Looks at Jason.
Then—
“…I mean,” he says carefully, “define human.”
Jason goes very, very still.
Somewhere in the distance, another gunshot echoes.
Neither of them reacts.
Because suddenly—
That’s not the problem anymore.

BATMAN BEYOND/TERRY McGINNIS; a reading list
So, you're interested in the Batman of the future! A series which takes place in the far off year of... 2039? Listen, the original show came out in the nineties, you gotta give it some slack.
Hopefully here I've compiled a nice list of the comics, as well as any extra appearances of Terry, Batman of Neo-Gotham.
Who is Terry McGinnis?
Please give me more of Tim stressing Dick out 🙏
Tim dismantled Dick's fridge at 4am because it's leaking and Dick stumbles out of his bedroom to find all his food on the counter top and Tim face timing Bernard while his ice cream melts.
Tim has these really weird growth spurts and he can literally shoot up about two or three inches overnight and Dick is just watching his little brother tower over him.
Tim traumadrumps on him without meaning to. Sometimes he's just in the middle of lunch and he'll mention in passing that he was never held as a kid or something.
Tim will sometimes appear in Dick's apartment and make food. Dick once walked in from patrol in Bludhaven to find Tim making a giant pastrami sandwich, despite Dick having nothing in his fridge.
Tim sometimes hacks Dick's streaming services and changes the preferred language to get him to learn a new language. Now he's stuck watching Love Island in Arabic.
Tim will on occasion just start laughing to himself and Dick suspects it's either Joker Jr trauma or he's been Jokerized but Tim just says no, he's thinking of an obscure meme.
Tim sends Dick the most out of pocket memes and Tiktoks. Not brainrot but something more eerie and chilling.
Tim sometimes drinks at least three Stanley's worth of Zesti in a sitting. Dick keeps telling him about sugar intake and Tim just keeps sipping.
Sorry guys, I can't seem to get Beyond Batman rn
+ my main gripes with terry's Epilogue design
Just once, I want Danny to spout off something that he’s clearly heard from Jazz and then cringe at it.
Jason: “Just gotta wait until the Stockholm Syndrome kicks in!”
Danny: “Actually, that is a phony diagnosis created by a sexist psychiatrist who saw a hostage situation on TV and decided that the woman, in fight-flight-fawn mode, was in love with the man waving a gun at h-"
Jason: *raises eyebrow*
Danny, realizing: "Oh, you meant it as a joke… Ancients, I sounded like Jazz there.” *shudders*
Dick, exasperated: “Monkey see, monkey do, after all…”
Danny, eating a snack: "Actually, monkeys mimic behavior as a form of communication and survival, while the so-called Chameleon Effect is influenced by a desire to fit in and be liked by the people around us. It's also influenced by a part of the brain that certain- *pauses* *pushes snack away* And that was super fucking weird to bring up all of a sudden, sorry, what were we talking about?" *face screwed up in disgust*
Dick: *is just amused*
Damian, angry enough to turn red: "-I will eviscerate you so much that even your mother would be disgusted by your incompetent-"
Danny, off to the side and kinda zoned out: "Did you know that excess violence in teenagers, while typically attributed towards early childhood development by those around the teenager, is almost always caused by their current situation and a feeling of estrangement, lack of control, or- wow, yea, okay, I'm shutting up now, I just realized what I sounded like. Uegh."
Damian, suddenly calm: "You bring up a valid point, Daniel. Come, make your argument in front of father. Please."
Tim: "I'll sleep when I'm dead; for now, there's coffee."
Jason: "That shit stunts your growth, pipsqueak."
Danny: "That was actually debunked. What coffee does do is it blocks your adenosine receptors and enhances your dopamine signaling, increasing your mood and motivation as well as enhancing your memory, and then it also improves your attention and alertness. However, it also increases your anxiety and sleep disturbances, which can mess up your memory consolidation and brain recovery." *makes a disgusted face* *shudders* *takes a sip of an energy drink* "Anyways, ignoring all that nonsense that I'm definitely ignoring that I've accidentally memorized, sleeping when you're dead is also a myth. I would know." *chugs energy drink*
Tim, despairing with a tight grip on his coffee: "Nooo, I was relying on that!"
