14/June - 2015 Reading ahead and making notes for ethics
{ 22-5-16 } 32/100 days of productivity
once again preparing for exams …tomorrow is my last business and my first english exam!
day 11/100 of productivity — my exams are in less than a week and i’m really pressurised sigh trying my best to hold on though. side note stone cold by demi lovato is good and has been on replay c:
1/6/16 | 29/100
it’s the start of juuuuune! but not the start of my holidays just yet. gonna go on intensive study during my 4 weeks break.. and I feel kinda guilty for unfaithfully following my 100 days of productivity thing HAHAHA. happy studying!
also, my new printables for June, July, August are out now!! go go check them or and tag me if you’re using it so I can see them!! :-) x
Sunday setup!
Tried making a mind map for the first time to help study for my final and I think it came out pretty well!
HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY MIND
hello!!! as finals are slowly killing everybody including me and there’s a 90% chance i’m studying whenever you ask me, i’ve noticed i gained weight but look more sullen, that i’m living off coffee and that my eyes are practically bleeding from all the books and laptops. so you don’t fall into the bottomless pit of self destruction you’ll be crawling out of whole summer, here are some tips to stay healthy and get good grades!
plan your day
extremely crucial!! if you don’t already have a planner, get one asap! planning your day is the first step to knowing what you have to do, ergo you know when you have time to take care of yourself. in your planner, make a daily log by the hours where you can easily see your daily spread. don’t want to spend extra money? studyblrs like @cmpsbls and @arystudies have amazing one-day printables you can easily use.
foodie goodies
i know eating healthy is hard, esp during such a hard period, but eating healthy makes a huge difference. try making quick foods such as overnight oats, breakfast bowls, or even a lunch jar, all of which can be prepared a night before.
sleep wisely
im not going to tell you to get 8 hours of sleep every day because that’s downright impossible, or at least with my program, and you’re not going to listen. but try planning how you sleep with websites such as sleepyti.me, as i guarantee you’ll wake up much more refreshed. all nighters are acceptable one time a week at most — at least take a 90 minute long power nap.
work out
actually go to your yoga class, or ballet, or whatever it is you do. those hour and a half will make no greater difference, and will help you clear your mind, relax and so on. it’s actually been proven that working out releases endorphins, which help you focus more and be sharper.
work out pt. 2
aren’t much of a regular work-outer? i still gotcha. here are some great yoga poses. if you’re wondering why yoga, here’s an explanation: yoga balances your mind and body, calms you and renews you. take half an hour a day if you’re a beginner. just take five minutes to breathe, soothe yourself and ease your mind, do the sun salutation for twenty minutes and the last five to lay on the floor and relax. it helps immensely!
snack hacks
snacks are cool until they aren’t snacks, but a form of procrastination. eating a lot causes your stomach to become overloaded and the blood flows there, instead of focusing on the brain. i suggest some easy snacks such as apples with cinnamon, greek froyo, or just some almonds with a smoothie.
early birds catch the worm
no matter if you have class at 8am or 3pm, get up early. not only will you have more time to revise the notes, you’ll also have more time to make yourself some breakfast and lunch, get ready or maybe even go on a morning jog.
take breaks, break takes
i know you may think studying biology for six hours straight is okay, but lemme tell you: it’s not. if you think the pomodoro technique is too easy on you during finals, try the extended method: 45/10 minutes. you’ll learn more and be more productive, but breaks are here for a reason — drink a glass of water and stretch before studying more.
i hope this helps, and to all of you who still aren’t finished with finals — good luck!! sending happy vibes to y’all!!
