In this way, Pauline made it clear to me that in Heaven, the least of the Blessed does not envy the happiness of the greatest; and so, by bringing the highest mysteries down to the level of my understanding, she gave my soul the food it needed.

These are the most extreme examples of each type; many birds sort of fall between categories depending on their specializations.

Most hawks lean towards a passive soaring wing, with some taking on a bit of a high-speed shape. However there are forest-dwelling hawks (like sharp-shinned hawks) that need fast, maneuverable turns to whip around branches and trees, so they’re sort of an elliptical-passive mix.

Ok like I’m here for the whole “if it doesn’t make you happy, don’t do it” movement but like, be smart, yeah? Don’t just quit your job out of the blue, even if it is soul sucking, get another job first. Don’t just kick your roommate out because you aren’t getting along, talk to them first. And don’t say absolutely everything that pops into your mind, because discretion will save your ass on occasion. I’m not saying you can’t live authentically, but be smart.

And while we’re at it, rudeness and honesty are not the same thing. “I’m just being honest” is not an excuse to be nasty to someone for no reason, and “that’s just how I am” is not an excuse not to change your behavior.

I really think social media screwed up the way I approach making art. It’s not the only thing that messed my creativity up, but it’s one of the things.

Man. Why don’t I have the same creative energy I had when I was younger. Why does it feel like a chore now? I guess because I keep telling myself that the only way I’m gonna improve is by studying and practicing fundamentals (which is true) but I don’t becauseeeee....??? I just wanna draw what I want? But then I don’t like what I draw because everything looks bad because my knowledge of what should look like exceeds my current skill level?? So then I just? Don’t draw things that I like??? Ugh.

This is why I function well in a classroom setting. I need external accountability to get things done lmao ugH
