New fic Florist x Tattoo artist
Hey, yesterday I uploaded a florist x tattoo artist au for Radiojoy on ao3, check it out if anyone's interested, it's a one shot with almost 4k words
Hey, has anyone made similar art for Radiojoy?
I've seen this on Vinted, and even though, I'm not really a radioapple fan, this is beautyful
I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:
Fictional characters are objects.
They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.
I know this has good intentions, so I will just add the "how you treat them, even as objects of fiction, can speak about your own character, be careful out there"
Your addition is actually completely antithetical to my message. It is literally the opposite of what I am conveying.
Stop telling people to encourage the cop inside their head.
How you treat fictional characters, given they are entirely objects of fiction, does NOT necessarily speak to your own character, and you do not need to be "careful".
It is not dangerous to imagine dark things happening to fictional characters. It does not mean you are secretly a bad person. It does not mean you unconsciously want to hurt people in real life. It is not a "slippery slope" to doing bad things to people in real life. You cannot damage your brain or turn yourself into a bad person by consuming "dark" fanfic.
I can write tentacle noncon of my favorite character all day long and be a fierce anti-sexual assault advocate in real life because what I do in my head is not the same thing as what I do in real life.

What songs do you think describe Radiojoy?
Alastor x Emily and Alastor x Charlie Rant
I don't know about anyone else, but it does bother me as a Radiojoy shipper, that we are told by the fandom, that we only ship Radiojoy, because Charlie is with Vaggie. I can tell where they are coming from, because on the surface Charlie and Emily seem to have the same personality, so they think if one doesn't work we'll take the other, but let me just say, it isn't like that! For me Charlie and Emily start and stop being similar at their cinamonroll energy. Both are clearly their own persons, and the comparison is slightly insulting. Let me just also say, that being a Charlie x Alastor shipper
is probably a better experince than Radiojoy, they actually interacted meaningfully in canon, there are more fics and more art about them, and honest to god, I tried to ship them but I just can't. With Radiojoy there are so few stuff on them, that as a last resort, I started reading a Charlastor fic, and could not even finish the first chapter. I browsed their tumblr, only to be uncomfortable with it, and even just watched canon of them talking, and nothing was doing it. If it becomes actually canon, than I hope the writing will be convincing, because right now I just can't. I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but for me at least, these two ships are totally different, and the comparison is annoying.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk

when new fic comes into your life
Hey, looking to get an ulquihime tattoo, any ideas of symbols that would represent them? Currently I like either the moon& sun image or the hands
Question to Ulquihime fandom:
How do you guys feel when ppl say that it is an abusive/toxic ship?
I feel nothing, usually, but depending on their tone I might feel varying degrees of annoyance. People are free to like and dislike whatever they want in a ship. It's not that other people don't like UlquiHime that annoys me, it's that they demand anyone to justify their ships based on their own preferences.
A ship is not required to be healthy or ideal to be valid. Where in the world did the idea that only wholesome ships are good come from?
Literature across time and cultures is full of all kinds of relationships. Literature exists to explore worlds, concepts, people, and relationships that may not be realistic or accessible to most or all people. Why would a person A expect person B to limit their literary taste to what person A finds wholesome and comfy? That's just silly.
All that being said, people ship UlquiHime for a variety of reasons. Some actually do ship it precisely for its potential to be toxic. They may find it curious, interesting, cathartic, or maybe they just want to see some good old fashioned pain.
Some people ship it because they look good together and that's it. Maybe they just want to see the pretty characters smash. Nothing wrong with that.
Some people ship UlquiHime not because of what it was, but what it had potential to grow into (Beauty and the Beast is a loved story for a reason).
Others may ship UlquiHime because the tension between the characters was very compelling. Ulquiorra's growth from a hollow void to a being understanding of human emotion and experience because of his interaction with Orihime and her influence on him is inspiring. These shippers are also likely to believe that Ulquiorra grew to love her to the extent that he was able just before he died. Orihime is the epitome of empathetic care and she clearly (and canonically via Unmasked) cared for Ulquiorra and had an understanding for why may have acted has he did. This is different from sympathy. She knew he was in conflict of her morals and did not mistake understanding for realigning her beliefs to his.
(Also don't mention Stockholm Syndrome to me in context to the above paragraph, it is misogynistic bunk that is not actually a "syndrome" and has never been included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or DSM. Click here if you're interested in that conversation.)
TL;DR ship what you want and stay in your lane. It's fiction, for gods' sakes.
