I need help for deep dive characters
I am trying to get better at diverse characters both in cultures, languages, and illnesses but I have trouble understanding it when I just google it or translate. So if someone could help answer a few questions for me, that would be great. Please be aware some of these questions are very personal and you don’t need to answer all of them.
For family of immigrants or immigrated yourselves, what was it like to adjust to America or another country?
For someone who is Egyptian or followed the culture of modern today, what are some little things you do as part of that? What are your routines or habits based around the culture?
people who suffer from severe migraines or phobias(specifically bugs of shellfish), what is your daily life like? How to you navigate?
For twins, do you ever feel compared to one another? Do you resent them or try to differ from them? How does this affect you?
For Spanish or Egyptian language speakers, what is it like knowing two languages? What are some phrases or words you often say in the opposite language?
this question specifically is a little personal, and I apologize in advance if it is triggering, but do feel free to share only if comfortable. People with abusive fathers, how did you cope with it? And what were some things you did to avoid their anger?
forensic nerds and writers, I need you
I'm making a character, but I need the opinion of someone who could make it seem more logical. This character survived alone in the woods when he was around 5-6. He's malnourished- skinny- and the way I drew him makes him look a bit curvy because of it. He also had buttons sewn on his eyes when he was abandoned, so years later, I need an opinion on what the thread would do to his eyelids/eyeballs. No, he cannot just take them out because it's a trauma response to keep them. Yes, he is blind.
Guys, I'm stupid. Help
Okay, I know you need to understand how it works to make a good monster design. Ex: robot vampire with syringes for teeth or an invisible man with chameleon skin. What I need help with is a Skinwalker. Specifically not a shapeshifting one.
In this specific concept, skinwalkers basically take off people's skin and wear it like a suit. Think of a parasite. The only problem with it is my designs. My designs look good, but not for a skinwalker. They're too big, have too many joints, and wouldn't be able to fit inside a skin. But I want them to be scary. I want them to be terrifying enough for someone to run through a forest and be chased by said skinwalker without the chase being too easy. Something imposing and ignites immediate fear in you.
Okay, so I'm writing this book...
I wanted this trilogy to all be different. I didn't want it to be book one, two, three. So instead, I made each book different according to the story. The first book is regularly written. The second is written in a script format, and the third is a graphic novel. But it's not about that!!
My trouble is the second book. It feels too short, and I'm struggling with the ending. I know how it should end, but I don't know how to get it to that point with how far I've written. My next biggest struggle is attention to detail. The story seems too straightforward and not how I imagined writing it out. Can anyone give me specific tips or ideas to make it better
Nightwing Adopting a kid pt 3
Y'ALL I HAD THE FUNNIEST IDEA
The kid gets kidnapped one day to use as leverage bc Dick has a lot of money. And these robbers are, like, not the brightest bc she knows her dad is Nightwing.
Kid: You guys are screwed.
Robber: Shut it kid, you're our hostage and we're gonna get a buttload of money off of you.
Kid: Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. My dad isn't the best when it comes to terms and conditions.
Robber: You're oddly calm about this whole ordeal.
Kid: Honestly? This is better than my dad's jokes, so I call this a win.
Robber: ...
Robber: What?
(Nightwing smashes through the window with 20 years of pent-up rage)
Kid: See? I told you y'all were screwed.
Nightwing Adopting a kid pt 2
Regarding my previous post, how do y'all think he'd be as a dad in general? Like, I get he'd probably have a lot of dad jokes and he'd train her, but what about the generic parenting stuff? Swearing? Puberty? I mean, this kid is like 9 and she's basically Jason with less violence and more teenage sass. Any ideas
Nightwing adopting a kid
I'm thinking up a little comic about Nightwing/Richard Grayson adopting a kid whose parents died in a terrible fire half a year after Batman himself died. How do you think he'd react to finding the kid and his struggle to choose whether to look after her?

wip of DBH comic: Byzantine Generals

Please, you don't understand... This is the best art I have ever come across and I'm sobbing it's so perfect. Literally the comic, Byzantine Generals, is so underrated and the story is mind blowing. You have to really pay attention to understand what's happening, but just know out of all of the Connors shown, Connor-KOM/RK800-59 is my absolute favorite solely for the design and the entire first part in the mansion. Please go read it, it's amazing.
