Danny Briere really said actually, I deserve nice things too. I am a single mom who works two jobs (general manager and professional fujoshi) and I CAN have it all! I dug us out of salary cap hell and rebuilt our prospect pool and found us a playoff-ready goaltender who’s also a genuinely good guy and put up with Pat Verbeek for 18 months to carry a Jamie Drysdale/Trevor Zegras reunion to term and turned the trade of my old roommate/teammate/loml into Owen Tippett and Denver Barkey (and Jack Nesbitt) and drafted so many new children in his image because I MISSED HIM, OKAY?! I got us back to the playoffs after 6 years with only a 3.8% chance, and people are still saying I’m weak. They’re still saying I can’t close. So can’t this next move be for me? Can’t I speak softy and carry my giant dick into a franchise-defining fuck you to Anaheim for Philly and for the boys and for the team but also get one this offseason that’s just for me???

there is no way for danny to lose. either he gets a great star center, or he entirely fucks anaheim's cap situation and ability to re-sign players. AND in the process, he's thrown a bomb at all the teams who have young star forwards they'll need to sign in the next few years... he really said what if i did some psychological warfare and (as a fun side effect) (just for me) (i deserve it), ensured a bunch of young players got bigger salaries at their next negotiation? that could be fun i think. im Old Gay Danny Briere. let's go to war
