Yeah sorry I can't come into work today. I accidentally heard Primadonna by Marina formerly of and the Diamonds. So I need the day to be a primadonna girl. Yeah it's going to be the whole day.

I shall pass through this world but once, any good thing therefore I can do, or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now, let me not defer it or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again.
According to Quote Investigator, in an article written by a human which provides citations that I havenāt checked, this quote started showing up without specific attribution (āa wise manā) in newspapers, starting with The Independent of Oskaloosa, Kansas, on 31 October 1868. It got passed around some Quaker papers (still anonymous) and then people started to attribute it to specific famous Quakers such as William Penn (died 1718) and Stephen Grellet (died 1855) though it appears in none of their published works. As it spread more widely it picked up further false attributions and it was rewritten as a poem in 1900 but none of these are the original source.

YOU MEAN THE MOST FAMOUS BIT OF THE ODYSSEY?
ONE OF THE MOST REPRESENTED IN ARTS?
ONE OF THE MOST TENSE PARTS OF THE STORY?
THE ONE MOST ODYSSEUS MOMENT IN THE ENTIRE ODYSSEY?
THE ONE BIT THAT EVEN PEOPLE WHO Don'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT THE ODYSSEY STILL VAGUELY HEARD ABOUT?
